We'd pick up frozen pulled pork in Tennessee and bring it back to Texas as a treat. Nothing to compare until our first visit to The Purple Pig in June. Meets and exceeds our high standards to perfection. Don't miss this delightful experience. There are many things that makes the pulled pork extraordinary. Quality. Pecan smoked, not common to Texas. Wonderful sides. Add to the excellence of the food is the service and the quaint, charming setting. Five stars.”

“The pizza here is so delicious!! I love the honey bexar pizza and zeppoles. The young woman that rung me up I think her name was Maddie was soooo sweet. The girl with half blonde half brown hair was also very nice and brought my order out to me and made sure I was all good. Highly recommend this place. Also their gluten free pizzas are actually good!!”

“I will be stopping here every day! The staff is so uplifting and friendly. The gentleman at the door (the face of the restaurant you see on the way in and the way out) is phenomenal! I literally leave in a better mood every morning. (even when I am already in a good mood!) The food is great the servers are great and the price is right. If you are one of the folks who had come here pre-covid and experienced the opposite, let me tell you, this is not the same place. This is worth the drive over even when I am not on my way to work!!”

“I love on the grind so much more than Starbucks. They have a good selection of coffee, comes hot, cold and blended. They even offer a stamp card and after you buy 10 coffees you get one free. They dont even scam you by making the free coffee something nobody wants like a small black. I just redeemed my free drink today and got a large iced chocolate Carmel coffee. Their drinks dont taste as sugary as Starbucks, which I like, but they are still quite sweet. Ive gone here for a few years now and never have they gotten my order wrong, everyone is always very happy and even if the line looks long still go! They do the same thing chick fil a does and will get your order on an iPad and get you out with your drink fast. I love this place. They are dog friendly too and my dogs love coming to get a pup cup. What is not to like?”

“My family finally checked out this place and I'm not sure why we haven't until now!! Staff was all incredibly nice. Very clean restaurant. Prices were good. Everything we had was delicious and made to order. You can tell that love and care were put into everything we got, something I definitely appreciate. I had catfish and fries, it was perfect and definitely satisfied my craving that day. My husband had a Chicago dog and it looked amazing, he enjoyed it. One kid had a gyro and wow, it looked great. She wouldn't let me try it lol. The other kid had kid chicken tenders. They were not your typical frozen nuggets y'all, they were fresh fried chicken and she loved them (picky kid). We will be back. I can't wait to try everything else. Maybe next time I'll remember to get pictures but trust me, give them a visit.”

“For our Anniversary in 2022, my wife and I decided we wanted to get a cake to celebrate. We both like old-fashioned butter-creme icing, and not that new light, marshmallow-ish stuff that bakeries put on cakes today. We wanted a layer-cake with thick butter-creme filling, as well as icing on the outside. Emily's Cakes came through for us. The cake we got was more than expected and was absolutely delicious! We're planning to order another one this year, if we haven't waited too late. We need it by Sunday of next week 7/14/24. Is that even possible?”

“This is now a staple restaurant for us. Our 10 month old who is learning to eat (and making messes as a result) has never been so welcomed in a restaurant. They were kind and made us feel so welcome!
As for the food - exceptional. The servings are generous the flavor is on point. For those who like spice, it is also true to mild, medium and hot.
If you are on the fence, don’t be. Worth every penny I spent and every penny I will!”

It is the MOST authentic food I’ve eaten and brought me back to my childhood. The prices are good, the food is delicious, the service is decent. “Called with a very small window needing a basic cake, not only was she able to help me game plan on the phone in less than 10 min but also the price was budget friendly!

When I got the cake, it wasn’t basic at all, there was beautiful flowers and so many people complemented how fancy it was!! I was so thankful to have someone so sweet, helpful, and fast make our cake!
Last, the taste, it was so moist, flavorful, and kept so well! I expected with the Texas heat to have some minor melting, but the icing didn’t budge and was still soft and fluffy, I really couldn’t recommend Mimi’s Sweet Treats enough!”

“Recommend 100x - I visit this location at least a couple times a week. Today, I witnessed something truly amazing. I was in the drive thru. I heard one of the employees tell another employee that a lady in a curbside spot was having a bad day. Whenever she delivered her food to her, I noticed that the employee was praying for the customer. This blew my mind, as I had never seen this happen at a restaurant before. Very, very special. Thank you for hiring people that not only do their job, but go above and beyond for their customers.”

“I love eating here. tonight left a sour taste in my mouth . last week I ordered extra cane sauce. it was left out when order was being checked. I went this evening, requested a cane sauce at no charge. I explained reason. cashier checked with mngmnt as I was standing there, manager told the young man that he can't be giving out free food. so what does the young man do? he pays for it. once I realized what was going on, I advised the young man I could pay for it BUT he wasn't giving away FREE food! I PAIS for that sauce. thank you to the cashier an👎👎👎 to the manager !!”

One thing I’m mad about Portillo’s do you see how my peppers are all stirred up in the meat? You were supposed to put the peppers all together on top of the sandwich, not stirred in with the meat please retrain the cook. Who does this you’re not supposed to mix up the meat with the peppers on the grill the peppers go on top of the sandwich at the end.”

“Greatly appreciate the beer 🍺 options of this place. They have Paulaner Hefe-Weisen on tap. I drank this beer all the time In Germany. I’ll be coming by more often 🤩. When their kitchen is done, I’ll look forward to trying the food. Atmosphere is great as well.”

Long story short these guys on today’s date (June 27th) made me some last minute 15 box’s of pizza for my daughter’s birthday because the Cibolo location absolutely sucks! “The Smash Burger was great. The fries were seasoned too much for my taste. I would rather have just good ole' salt and pepper. The service was great and the guy was very friendly. A home run would be to offer regular fries (unseasonsed) and their seasoned fries. Best of both worlds. Read the reviews and I'm not the only one making this observation. I would be more of a repeat customer with non-seasoned fries. Don't get me wrong, I have had some seasoned fries in the past that I like, but I don't particularly care for these that the offer. Again, the burger was great!!!”
