“We did takeout here last Sunday evening for an early dinner. We ordered a half pound of Turkey, one pound of Brisket, one pound of Baby Back Ribs, and one link of Sausage. Our sides were one pint of Creamy Corn and one pint of Potato Salad. We also received sliced pickles, sliced onions, a loaf of bread and a container of barbecue sauce. All of the meats and sides were excellent. We will definitely return here again and would highly recommend you give this place a try. “Brought my family here for lunch on a Saturday. I got the medium ribs and hot tenders along with the dragon fries and mac n cheese. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and the medium heat level was just right to give it just the right amount of heat without it being overwhelming. The dragon fries were well seasoned and the Mac was delicious. They're the type of food that you keep on eating even though you're stuffed because they taste so good.My only complaint would be the chicken strips. They were dry, hard and stringy. That being said, I'll definitely be returning based on the other dishes.I'd recommend the texas hot spice for those that truly love spicy. Initially you don't feel it but the heat definitely builds over time! Looking forward to trying their AMF heat to see what it's all about.“
“Loved dinner at Fred’s! Here on a business trip & after driving by Fred’s every day we decided to check it out on our last night & wow, definitely worth a visit. I had a two meat platter (brisket & pulled pork) with green beans & Mac & cheese & everything was delicious. Fred was awesome with food customer service & sitting at a picnic table in the warm Texas sunshine with a hot plate & cold Coke was the best. Picture attached was after I started eating; it all smelled so good I jumped in before taking a picture- portions are large & generous.“
“I ordered the three meat plate. Marble brisket, sausage, and chicken.Normally, I avoid chicken at barbecue places because it tends to be dry, but this chicken was perfection seasoned Well, yummy skin. Marbled brisket was tender, sausage had a nice crisp to the skin but juicy meat. Dee's beans were very good, and the star was the sweet potato casserole! It was such a treat. The honey mustard sauce was such a nice touch overall. Would recommend“
“Visited for the first time today. Got 2- 2 meat plates, one with brisket and turkey with greenbeans and junkie beans and the other jalapeño sausage and brisket with mac and cream corn. The brisket was damn good ( the bark was perfect), sausage was good and the turkey was moist and actually had flavor. However, the mac was trash, bland no flavor and mushy. The greenbeans were so hot like they were microwaved, the junkie beans were just okay I didn't care for the bbq sauce or the dry chunks of meat in them. The cream corn was THICK with more cream than corn, definitely more of a cream corn salad. The front of the restaurant was dark and could use more light vs the back. Definitely didn't feel nor look like a bbq spot. Service was mediocre at best. Nobody had a welcoming attitude and when I asked one of the employees about the bbq her response was less than polite. We would return just for the brisket but not much else.“
“Food was excellent. Server had a fantastic attitude but took a while to take our order and bring refills on drinks...and brought wrong drinks (sweet instead of unsweet). It was a pleasant experience and we will go back, but it wasn't the best I've ever had.“
“I haven't had good brisket in a while! They stopped me and had me try a sample of brisket, tried it out, it was already heaven in my mouth. I had to order. Got myself the Brisket Sandwhich and oh boy, that was worth every penny. They definitely got me sold and I look forward to ordering more from them.“
“This is some good eatin! The menu was small, but that's ok. The brisket was tender, juicy and very flavorful. My family and i all ordered brisket meals - tacos, sandwiches and dinner entrees. Even though the sides weren't my favorite taste, the serving was big. The warm tortilla chips were the best I've had in a long time. I definitely recommend this place. They have a very beautiful bar top and a fun atmosphere. We met Josh, Jewel and other staff members were friendly and helpful. We will be back on a weekend night to enjoy the entertainment. “I went with a friend on a Friday for lunch. We both ordered the fried fish plate. It was delicious! I got an extra side of mac-n-cheese that was amazing. I highly recommend the fish plate. Both my friend and I decided we will be going back to try their BBQ as soon as possible. This is a family owned and operated small business where the entire staff is very friendly, courteous and accommodating. They are located in Adkins, a suburb of San Antonio. It was well worth the trip. “Have been a few times but never for lunch. Went with the ayce option and the service made a great recommendation to try the salad with house dressing. Would normally skip and opt for lettuce leaf instead but the salad and dressing was amazing! Definitely a must order going forward.“
“This is literally the whole in the wall that has great barbacoa and tamales and even better that it's on the NE side! Thank God! Their Menudo, tamales and barbacoa is so delicious!! They sell out fast so you gotta get there early. It's so worth the wait and I'm so glad i don't have to drive across town to get some good barbacoa, cause it's right here on my side of town! Let's support this local business in OUR neighborhood (if you're from these parts) and tell our friends and neighbors about this place! For years we have not been dissapointed! “My 9 year old son had to use the bathroom, and of course he had to use the stall for poop, but there was another kid in the stall and he was in there an abnormally long time. We stood there for at least 10 min while my son almost poop in his pants , so I took him to a nearby restroom at that point. My question is how can u have so many people in a large restaurant with only 1 stall to do number 2 is ridiculous. my only complaint is that the Se location added an extra Restroom. And this Location has 1 stall for the whole restaurant in the men’s bathroom. Other than that everything else was really good.“

“I was very pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. The workers very nice and helpful, the rib tips were amazing good, the pulled pork plate was delicious, the sides are good as well.
