“I'm proud of my hometown BBQ joints. Come in and sit down, order it take out, or you can drive through, warning ⚠️ the drive through, take out area, and dinning room area can be packed with a line, but thats cause it's so darn good, it's worth the wait.“

“I was very pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. The workers very nice and helpful, the rib tips were amazing good, the pulled pork plate was delicious, the sides are good as well. I almost forgot to add that the pulled chicken potato was good.Parking: The parking was located across the street and it wasn’t a lot of parking.“

“Best BBQ in SA that I've had so far!I've tried a lot of BBQ here in Sa, and am always disappointed, but this was some incredible BBQ!The chopped brisket was very flavorful, the sausage was really good, and the chicken Quarters were juicy, cooked perfectly and has great flavor as well!I love supporting local, and this place is exactly why! “They came by our apts today, super nice, food was seriously on point.. we caught them as they were gonna get ready to head out and we’re blessed with xtra rice,beans, and Mac.. Customer service goes a long way and they def got that covered.. 3rs Fri of the mnth you can find em at the Wal Mart parking lot off De Zavala and I-10.. Prices are very reasonable and def fair for the quality your getting..Thank you guys for making our Fri night dinner an awesome one“

“Brought my family here for lunch on a Saturday. I got the medium ribs and hot tenders along with the dragon fries and mac n cheese. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and the medium heat level was just right to give it just the right amount of heat without it being overwhelming. The dragon fries were well seasoned and the Mac was delicious. They're the type of food that you keep on eating even though you're stuffed because they taste so good.My only complaint would be the chicken strips. They were dry, hard and stringy. That being said, I'll definitely be returning based on the other dishes.I'd recommend the texas hot spice for those that truly love spicy. Initially you don't feel it but the heat definitely builds over time! Looking forward to trying their AMF heat to see what it's all about.“

“Loved dinner at Fred’s! Here on a business trip & after driving by Fred’s every day we decided to check it out on our last night & wow, definitely worth a visit. I had a two meat platter (brisket & pulled pork) with green beans & Mac & cheese & everything was delicious. Fred was awesome with food customer service & sitting at a picnic table in the warm Texas sunshine with a hot plate & cold Coke was the best. Picture attached was after I started eating; it all smelled so good I jumped in before taking a picture- portions are large & generous.“

“I ordered the three meat plate. Marble brisket, sausage, and chicken.Normally, I avoid chicken at barbecue places because it tends to be dry, but this chicken was perfection seasoned Well, yummy skin. Marbled brisket was tender, sausage had a nice crisp to the skin but juicy meat. Dee's beans were very good, and the star was the sweet potato casserole! It was such a treat. The honey mustard sauce was such a nice touch overall. Would recommend“

“Visited for the first time today. Got 2- 2 meat plates, one with brisket and turkey with greenbeans and junkie beans and the other jalapeño sausage and brisket with mac and cream corn. The brisket was damn good ( the bark was perfect), sausage was good and the turkey was moist and actually had flavor. However, the mac was trash, bland no flavor and mushy. The greenbeans were so hot like they were microwaved, the junkie beans were just okay I didn't care for the bbq sauce or the dry chunks of meat in them. The cream corn was THICK with more cream than corn, definitely more of a cream corn salad. The front of the restaurant was dark and could use more light vs the back. Definitely didn't feel nor look like a bbq spot. Service was mediocre at best. Nobody had a welcoming attitude and when I asked one of the employees about the bbq her response was less than polite. We would return just for the brisket but not much else.“

“I haven't had good brisket in a while! They stopped me and had me try a sample of brisket, tried it out, it was already heaven in my mouth. I had to order. Got myself the Brisket Sandwhich and oh boy, that was worth every penny. They definitely got me sold and I look forward to ordering more from them.“

“This is some good eatin! The menu was small, but that's ok. The brisket was tender, juicy and very flavorful. My family and i all ordered brisket meals - tacos, sandwiches and dinner entrees. Even though the sides weren't my favorite taste, the serving was big. The warm tortilla chips were the best I've had in a long time. I definitely recommend this place. They have a very beautiful bar top and a fun atmosphere. We met Josh, Jewel and other staff members were friendly and helpful. We will be back on a weekend night to enjoy the entertainment. “My daughter was visiting so it was a great excuse to order takeout from Smokey Mo’s! This has been our “go-to” BBQ place since 2008. Always great food, prompt service, friendly staff. We ordered the Large Family pack so there would be leftovers, lol.“

“I went with a friend on a Friday for lunch. We both ordered the fried fish plate. It was delicious! I got an extra side of mac-n-cheese that was amazing. I highly recommend the fish plate. Both my friend and I decided we will be going back to try their BBQ as soon as possible. This is a family owned and operated small business where the entire staff is very friendly, courteous and accommodating. They are located in Adkins, a suburb of San Antonio. It was well worth the trip. “The spot is in a rough looking neighbourhood but the moment we pulled up on the parking on the front a friendly apron wearing man(aka the cook) greeted us, explaining the options we had to order. We ordered the brisket, chicken, ribs and various sides. The brisket was TOP TIER, moist and tender, the chicken juicy and falling off the bone? 10/10, the loaded potatoes were also incredible. Highly recommend the spot but just as a heads up it only has like 2 tables so dining in, although it is an option, is not what the spot is made for. Takeaway, of course, is the way to go (that’s what we did). “This is literally the whole in the wall that has great barbacoa and tamales and even better that it's on the NE side! Thank God! Their Menudo, tamales and barbacoa is so delicious!! They sell out fast so you gotta get there early. It's so worth the wait and I'm so glad i don't have to drive across town to get some good barbacoa, cause it's right here on my side of town! Let's support this local business in OUR neighborhood (if you're from these parts) and tell our friends and neighbors about this place! For years we have not been dissapointed! So glad that my grandma found this place years ago ! Now i buy it for my family to enjoy!! “Have been a few times but never for lunch. Went with the ayce option and the service made a great recommendation to try the salad with house dressing. Would normally skip and opt for lettuce leaf instead but the salad and dressing was amazing! Definitely a must order going forward.“

“Some of the best BBQ and sides I've had in town, it's true as they advertise. Also, one of the few places in town that serves Kool-Aid. Awesome.Only gripe (and it's enough for me to drop a star of my rating) is that the place forces all orders to be to-go when ordering 30 minutes before close, which is stated nowhere on their operating hours. This should be mentioned somewhere on the business hours since most other establishment I've been to allow indoor seating up until close unless specifically stated otherwise. (So yes, I arrived before close and was expecting to dine in, and that did not happen.)“

“I took my adult boys out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. I am not able to do this very often, but I wanted to thank them for supporting me, my ex-husband, and our family, as we navigate my ex-husband's stay in the hospital. We had a few issues with the sides with our steaks, but they were resolved quickly. We spoke to the manager, Meredith, and she took a bit off our bill. I wasn't expecting that kind gesture, but it was very much appreciated. I truly like Texas Roadhouse. The people are kind, the food was delicious and the service was amazing.“
