“My wife had some very concerning news about her brother, who had ongoing liver problems and is in the hospital. Very sad, but Mexican food is comfort food for her, so I brought her here. As always, food was really good. Lots of families in the place. Service was especially great. Autumn and Calib did a phenomenal job. The food the service, the atmosphere, the sweet tea, the chips and salsa the cheese they used for the enchiladas, the tacos, the specials are always great and everything here is incredible but what I really like is the owner she usually runs the cash register her and her daughter, they have the most beautiful spirit. “The Wait staff were friendly, fast, and nurturing. The atmosphere is so authentic, the music loud enough to enjoy yet low enough to have a conversation with your partner. The Mexican food here at San Juan's is the best I've tasted in San Antonio so far. It is a hidden gem. “We did takeout for dinner here a few days ago and ordered two bowls. I had the bowl with steak, black beans, Spanish rice, guacamole, pico de gallo, lettuce and tomatoes. Hubby had the bowl with the pork, cilantro rice, black beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, potatoes, and tomatoes. We received sides of creamy jalapeño, sour cream and Ranch dressing. “$Just tried it for the first time. These tacos are a good size with plenty of meat for $3.99 each. The only thing I was iffy about is the meat is premade sitting in warmer containers. The meat did have great flavor though. We got picadillo & carne asada. Both were good & the full size tortillas are really good. Made on site maybe. The only thing that slacked was the Chile. The red was more like tomato sauce and the green had a weird after taste either lime or it was spoiled idk something didn't taste right about it.. I do want to try the breakfast tacos they have those for 2 for $4. Overall it was good.“

“Despite its location which could mislead people, it is close to a motel and a gas station, it is a restaurant of absolute quality. I took the "el Rodeo deluxe" and it was all really good as well as really filling. If I had another day available I would have liked to try their parillada. The dessert, however, did not stand up to the comparison with the dish, it was rather anonymous as it was packaged. In any case, I would strongly advise you to stop by if you are staying in the area.“
“Los Generales is a very good authentic Tex Mex Restaurant! Large portions very reasonably priced. I did find the Restaurant to be too warm to comfortably sit, but otherwise it was good. There are various specials that occur at different times, so be aware of that. Staff was nice.“
