“My mom and I was getting birth certificates around the corner and my mom was craving Barbacoa so I googled the closest and this place popped up! I’m so glad we took the chance because let me tell you the food was so delicious! Definitely can taste the homemade cooking. Very authentic. I wish I took a photo but trust me when I say “heaven in your mouth.” Homemade corn and flour tortillas were severed. I will definitely come back and recommend to everyone in the Southtown/downtown area. Overall, great experience and wonderful family owned.“

“I went there with a bunch of my college friends and honestly everything was great. Chips and salsa was excellent and the guacamole tasted great. We ordered a few top shelf margaritas pitchers and they were just as strong as he said they would be. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately my friends were being rude and lying about what they ordered once they saw the price of the bill. Felt kind of bad for our server because our experience couldn’t have been any better.“

“This is my favorite breakfast taco spot. Out of the several places that I have tried, this spot is hard to beat. Unfortunately, its just soo far for me to stop by and buy some since I live in Castroville. In 6 years since I lived here, I was only able to dine in, twice. And in those times, the service was subpar. Which is a disappointment since the food is absolutely stellar. 5/5 stars. Thats why the service only got 2 stars.“

“I love Lupe’s I haven’t had a bad experience yet. Every time I go they tell me it’s a 40 minute wait and it never is. It’s always a short wait in reality. The waiting staff is always on point. The food is constantly good. Margaritas are a good size. The wine they serve is good even the cheapest one on the menu. When i have a bad experience I’ll be sure to point it out. But they have it dialed in over there.“

“althought the food is great service is not, this was our 3rd time going as its conveniently close to our church,but defenitly will be last, and each time it took at least 15 mins to even have anyone come to at least take our drink order, this time we had to go up to owner and ask if we could get a waitress and she stated she would go as soon as she was done with the drive threw and the front register all whole 1 girl stood around making chip basket and another organizing decor shelves, on top of the fact for 2 tacos and a coffee new special breakfast cost is almost $9 now before 10 am“

“I am born and raised in San Antonio in which I have always gone to Tex mex restaurants in the city with my family and I’ve never even heard of this place until now. It was way better than I thought and it is a good portion of food. I got the big teka. Their cheese enchiladas were good with the chili on top being the signature part. The puffy tacos they provide were puffed up well and tasty. This is now a good option for whenever I come back into town to get Tex mex.“

“My grandparents owned several businesses in the area and as a child we would go there for lunch. I visited the restaurant last Wednesday for the first time in over 60 years. The food and service were excellent and authentic. I visited with several staff members to share my story and found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. “Had a great breakfast at Plaza's Mexican Restaurant. The restaurant was full of locals and regulars. The service was excellent and the food was great. Our tacos were fresh and filled to the brim. Located near the corner of Blanco and Basse in a small strip mall.“

“We stopped by Teka Molino around 11am on a weekday and had a really great experience. I ordered the Carne Guisada breakfast plate, which came with fried potatoes, refried beans, and tortillas. The carne guisada was tender, flavorful, and easily one of my favorite things we tried.
We also got their famous Bean Cup and a Puffy Taco. The Bean Cup looks tiny and simple, but it was surprisingly delicious. The Puffy Taco was another highlight — perfectly fried, crispy and light rather than greasy, and honestly pretty cute too!
This is a casual counter-service spot: you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. The staff were genuinely friendly, and the dining area was spacious, bright, and very clean.
What I also liked was how local the place felt. Even though we were there around 11am in the middle of the week, people kept coming in for breakfast and lunch. It definitely felt like a neighborhood favorite rather than somewhere that exists mainly for tourists.

“The service was so good, it stood out immediately. As soon as we entered, we were greeted and seated, and our server helped us almost immediately. Everyone was very pleasant and friendly, especially our server.

I had the veggie burger, and it was AMAZING! The flavors all combined very well and even added a scrumptious complexity to the black bean patty. The fries were perfectly crisp and seasoned with a delicious garlic seasoning. I also ordered a margarita that was also very delicious. It was perfectly sweet with a little but of tart in the slushy, and though it didn't taste like alcohol, it made me feel very giddy upon leaving haha.

The restaurant itself was very clean and had a great atmosphere, was air conditioned very well, and smalled like freshly cooked food. I had a very good time at this Chili's :)“
