“We came all the way from Leon Valley to try Maria’s Cafe, and it was absolutely worth the drive! This little hole-in-the-wall spot has such a homey, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. It was our first time eating here, and we were so impressed.

They made our food exactly the way we wanted it, paying attention to every detail and making sure everything was just right. You can really tell they care about their customers and take pride in what they serve.

“If you are a tourist, go off the beaten path to Pete'sTako House to get some delicious Tex-Mex. I tried some Tex-Mex on the Riverwalk and it did not compare to how good Pete's was. Get their al pastor nachos and you won't be disappointed. Great tortillas too and i believe they are made fresh in house. Great vibe in the restaurant and very friendly waitresses. “I went there with a bunch of my college friends and honestly everything was great. Chips and salsa was excellent and the guacamole tasted great. We ordered a few top shelf margaritas pitchers and they were just as strong as he said they would be. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately my friends were being rude and lying about what they ordered once they saw the price of the bill. Felt kind of bad for our server because our experience couldn’t have been any better.“

The food and service were excellent and authentic. I visited with several staff members to share my story and found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. “You cannot go wrong with Chuy’s. It’s not a Michelin star restaurant, it’s not fine wine dining, it’s perfect at what it is, which is comfort. All the times I’ve been the staff is friendly and the food is great! Probably the best item in my opinion is their jalapeño ranch dipping sauce, and the know it because you can buy it in bigger sizes. The decor is whimsical and fun too! Gives you plenty to keep distracted by during wait times! Also makes for a great social atmosphere :)“

“I came here with my parents and my dad was really happy with his plate. It was a Friday and they are Catholic so they were looking for more fish options during Lent. They ordered other options and were pleased.
The plates are pretty big, too. The highlight of our experience was our server, Rick. My dad can drink tea so fast and can get grouchy about it, but Rick was on top of it! My dad ordered queso and asked for more chips at one point, so when we were heading out, Rick added a bag of chips to our order. Extra details appreciated, Rick!“

“I had an absolutely fabulous experience at Teka Molino on Eighth Street in San Antonio! From the moment I was greeted by Victor. I felt welcomed and well taken care of.
There are so many food options — perfect for bringing the whole family! I chose the tacos and was pleasantly surprised — they reminded me of the authentic Mexican food I used to enjoy at my best friend’s home during college breaks. The salsa brought back memories of her mom’s cooking, and the chicken was exceptional — moist, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned.
But honestly, the best part was the service. Victor and Heri went above and beyond to make the experience special.

“We visited for the first time, and everything was exceptional. Our waiter, Mack, took great care of us, was very knowledgeable about the menu, and gave us some personal recommendations. The manager came to our table to greet us and even followed up towards the end of our meal and made sure we enjoyed everything. The flavors and quality of the food are top tier. My wife had the Fajita Enchilada platter (very good and far larger than she could eat at one sitting). I had the Tamale platter (two pork + 1 jalapeño and cheese) which was simple and very good (loved the Charro bean accompaniment). Our drinks (Santa Margarita and Red Pear Sangria) were both excellent and refreshing. They must say she knows how to make a Long Island iced tea. Even the night time manager on duty stop by to ask how everything was. Lots of monitors plenty of sports solid food and reasonable prices. “4 out of 5 stars this time. They weren't super busy today so service should've been spot on. Our wait person was very polite, but once the food arrived, we asked for salt and pepper, as well as tortillas. The salt and pepper didn't arrive until we were done eating and the tortillas never arrived. However, the food was good and the restaurant was clean.

They didn't charge us for the requested tortillas, so I assume the wait person simply got distracted and forgot about them.
