“We came here for breakfast tacos and left with a new favorite taco spot! They cooked our order on the spot, and it came out fresh & yummy. Price & value is hard to beat too - it seems like you can’t pay less than $4 a taco nowadays. Our tacos were $2-$3 each and we got a complimentary bowl of chips & salsa. All that aside, the tacos were DELICIOUS & fresh. Excited to come back and try lunch/dinner tacos.“
“Really tasty vegan food. Kids had the soy free pancake stack and we enjoyed the carne asada fries and cauliflower wings. Really delicious! Can’t wait to come back and try more items on the menu :)Dietary restrictions: Vegan and allergy friendly (though not many soy free items)“
“I smelled this taco truck before I even walked into El Camino, and it smelled amazing!! After eating my first 3 tacos I was so hooked I went back and bought 6 more and a papa chingona! It was the best taco I’ve had since arriving in San Antonio! That’s considering I’m from a straight up border town! I even ate the left overs today and still amazing! ?“
“Wow!!! Just... Wow!!!!!!!!!This place specializes in plant based vegan tacos and they are incredible! I got the queso berria and wow!!!!!I typically do not eat vegan cheese/meat as I don't like processed food but wow wow wow. These tacos absolutely blew my mind. So delicious and the texture of the jackfruit was spot on, with crispy charred edges. The vegan cheese tasted incredible (no coconut flavor, at all, like many other vegan cheeses).Even if you are not vegan, you will be blown away. And all of the agua fresca flavors are on point. Not too sweet! Can't wait to eat here again.Vegetarian options: All veggie/vegan menu!“
“I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 4 years now and just recently started checking this place out!!! OMG, I regret waiting so long!!! This place is amazing. The food. The service. The atmosphere. It’s all great. The guys behind the counter have the whole skater thing going on and my husband loves it. It’s a whole vibe. I highly recommend eating here at least once and I promise you won’t regret it.“
“Hidden gem on the north side of town! May very well be the best tacos I’ve had in town. Had the mini taco plate with a combination of tacos - Pastor, Asada, Chicken, and Chorizo. Pastor was killer.Great friendly service, quality food, and clean restaurant. This is a must try and this will remain on my food rotation for sure.“
“I visited for the first time last Sunday and took my son and granddaughter. I had birria tacos, my son had street tacos and my granddaughter had bean and cheese tacos. The food was authentic in preparation and presentation. The interior decor is what you’d see in an authentic Mexican restaurant serving on clay pottery. I recommend you give it a try. The birria tacos were huge with delicious tender beef. Goat is available also.Parking: Free parking directly out frontKid-friendliness: Family friendly, lots of families there.“
“This taco truck was absolutely delicious! My husband and I were visiting San Antonio and found this place. Their tacos are amazing, probably some of the best tacos I’ve had in San Antonio. I have not had tacos that good in a long time. The tortillas that they use for their tacos are the cherry on top for me. We tried the tacos with the queso and our choice of filling. Their lemonade was very good too!“
“Absolutely amazing!!! Took the family on a whim, after sightseeing the Alamo. About 11 min drive. We ordered The Quesabirria, Birria, and Mac and cheese birria. And the whole family loved it. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.“
“The service was great! It's a little far from me but I usually come by every now and then and get either the quesadillas or the mini tacos and they're amazing every time. The rice and beans are so good as well! I pretty much only come to the Ingram mall for this place. :)“
“Cool, funky atmosphere with a laid-back outdoor seating area. When we went there was a live music jam featuring the Harmonica Organization Of Texas where various harmonica players took turns sitting in while the band played several blues standards. My wife and I had the delicious wedge salad and tasty pork rinds for an appetizer.Parking: Parking across the street“
“We'd tried to go here another time but they were closed and I was sad that I didn't get the try it. The building looks like they are closing down but never fret. This time they looked closed but I stuck my head in and asked if they were open and the guy behind the counter said yes so we went in! The guy was also our server and the food was AMAZING!! We will definitely be going back.“
“Absolutely amazing restaurant!Got seated right away even though we didn’t have a reservation, the waitress was very attentive and answered all our questions. The food was delicious, great taste and presentation and love that the water is infused with cucumber and lime! The drinks were spot on! Got El Diablo and Aguamala which had their own unique taste, one gave a kick of spice and the other a Smokey flavor. I would recommend this place for a cute date night or even wanting to try something new!The birria flautas were spot on! Very flavorful and mouth watering“
“The tacos here are absolutely amazing. Starting with the tortilla, each looks loving made by hand. The atmosphere here is cool too, just standing to place an order there is a smell of pure heaven, this place is an experience. Tucked away downtown, we stopped by on a Sunday morning and there was no wait, plenty of parking and seating. My boyfriend ordered the 'Carmen' and he really enjoyed it. I had the 'Elida' and oh my gosh that carne guidada is rich and delicious. It was devastating to finish and I should have ordered two. They are larger than average street tacos and there is an assortment of salsas that is top notch. Just overall, love this place. I can not wait to come back and eat more tacos.“
“Nestled near the newly developed Creamery area and almost within walking distance from the historic Pearl, this restaurant boasts a great location.Parking is easy, and there are plenty of places to walk around. You order your food at the counter, and they call your name when it's ready for pickup. They also offer alcoholic beverages. The ambiance is inviting, with spacious seating arrangements. The patio, overlooking the River Walk, is a great feature.“
“Was visiting the city and decided to try out this place and was not disappointed! The food was so delicious and can’t wait to go back. Definitely get there early as it is crowded and I did have to wait some time before getting seated. My sister and I loved the green sauce and the fried green tomatoes were delicious. No complaints whatsoever!“
“It's been 3 years since we had taco truck tacos in San Antonio, although Tacos La Salsita are now pricing their tacos at $1.50, in comparison to just $1 per taco from 3 years ago, they're still the cheapest and still tasty compared to the other taco trucks around.“
“They do one thing, and they do it well. The al pastor tacos are cooked correct and they are the same size as you would find on a street cart in Mexico. They have Coke in a glass bottle and they found a way to make Flan even more delicious that usual, adding cajeta should be the new standard!! I'll be back every time I'm in town!!“
“Good food for a decent price (dinner meals come with drink). The horchata was good but a little watered down but the mango drink was delicious. The beef burrito and enchiladas were a hit with my teens but the tacos de pastor was a bit dry. The salsas were very tasty but would have been better if served with chips. The charro bean aperitif was super tasty! The young lady who served us was terrific but the environment was lacking. Floors were slippery as if they were not thoroughly cleaned, the bathrooms were dirty and the salsa bar (not open) had sitting water on container lids. The place needs a remodel or at least a good cleaning.“
“Our server (Ben) was so good and got us everything so fast! He checked in whenever we needed and suggested the lovely spicy mayo. He’s a doll.Food was good but our Crispy Chicken was a tad over salted and over fried (fried part could just be a me thing).“
“I went Friday night w/ my 17 year old niece, my 2 year old daughter & my mom. Fod is great especially the Gorditas! I absolutely LOVED them!! The Atmosphere, not so much. Totally not a family/ kid friendly type of place. It’s located within the same spot of an outside bar. There is no restrooms pretty much unless your 21+ or else your going to need to drive down the street. Besides that, GREAT GORDITAS :)!!“
“Currently on a quest to find the finest tacos in the Northwest/West region. I've have tried numerous options, and so far these currently stand out as the best. The prices are quite reasonable, and the campechana tacos with the green sauce are simply delicious. The frijoles charros are really tasty too.“
“The place is clean, the service was great, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I ordered to go inside, and the food came out quickly. I tried the trash can taco, the cheese enchiladas, and the huevos rancheros. Tortillas were light and fluffy and were made fresh in-house. I noticed they have a great team behind the counter and in the kitchen. The parking lot is huge, but it is shared with other businesses. I would recommend ordering to go.“
“Popped in mid morning for 4 tacos, and left like 5 minutes later with some great tacos. Service was quick and order was correct ( I ordered a custom taco). Salsa bar with plenty of options and very clean given how many people were in front of me.Great local option to stop and grab a few tacos. It is small so probably cant stay long but the service is quick so you likely wont have to.“
“First time here. I love Mexican food. This is this little Tex-Mex style, but very good. I enjoyed the Carne Guisada. Tender chunks of beef tips in a deliciously spicy gravy. Everything on point. Service was friendly and efficient. Family friendly restaurant good for parties and kids.“
“It’s difficult to find a good taco spot in San Antonio especially if you’re looking for a good tasting carne asada style taco. The waitress/manager/owner was kind enough to let my family try all the meats before we purchased I thought that was amazing customer experience. I will be “
“Amazing service! I came in here for a school project having never been before, and I am absolutely certain I will be coming back. I got 6 taquitos, soup, a 12’’ taco, a drink with refills and bean and cheese taco (not in the picture) all for 16$. Amazing staff, overall great experience, would definitely recommend!“
“Everything we ordered was absolutely amazing!! I had to stop by again before heading back to Missouri. I 100% will be stopping here when passing through again! So good!!! The chorizo was perfect. The street tacos were perfect! The burritos!!! The absolute best burrito ever and I don’t even like burritos. So good! The food took a while to cook but good things take time. So yummy!!!“
“Barbacoa was amazing. Service was amazing, great, family owned restaurant. They care about their customers. Barbacoa is not too fatty or greesy. Tortillas are fresh, and salsa has so much taste. They also give you chopped onions and cilantro, which the other rios don't.“
“Food was the best I have tasted in the area. I have visited several other taco trucks on Potranco(outside 1604) and their birria is my favorite. We tried the asada quesadia and it was good as well. Hot sauce was great as well. I would definitely be visiting again to try the birria quesadia.“
“Before they tasted like 100% Mexican tacos, you could tell they would bring their tortillas from Mexico.First they removed flour tortillasAnd yesterday I went and they also stopped bringing Mexican tortilla and now it's the Heb tortillaTotally losing the Mexican flavorI no longer recommend them. They taste like tacos that you can buy in any Mexican restaurant without being Mexican.“
“Omg. Amazing. I showed the guy a picture of someone else’s review, said that’s what I wanted and asked what it was and he told me it was a salad! The Mexican Cobb salad or something. I usually don’t like salads but this was protein PACKED. I got a corn and flour tortilla on the side for .69 each. They also give an active duty military discount. So good, definitely going back and I already have my regular order ready.“
“You’d think that messing w a perfectly good taco would end horribly. You’d be wrong. Try it once and you’ll be hooked. So many good flavor combos to choose from and even a taco of the week where they get even more creative and delicious. It can be a bit of a wait when it’s busy because they’re curating each and every beautiful taco to perfection.“
“1st Time Here. The inside of this restaurant was very beautiful and very clean . I ordered the Mole Plate. Did not know how this was going to turn out?? Wow I was Totally Shocked look at the plate that was almost Flawless. But what I did not like were the Beans and I love beans but these beans were tasteless. Maybe I should’ve of ordered a Side order of Charro Beans. If the the beans on the mole plate would have been delicious, then this plate would’ve been a Delicious flawless Plate. Because the chicken was soft and delicious, The mole sauce was delicious. The rice was delicious. The salad was fresh and delicious. But the Tortillas were not Good?I will definitely BE BACK ?“
“Amazing fish menu. Casual and very affordable. Charming. The food was terrific and the salsas will invoke enough pain to release endorphins the rest of the day. While San Miguel has many high end impressive restaurants, this was our favorite meal by far.“
“I came on a Thursday evening and the place was closed when it said it was to be open period I called the phone number and spoke to the person, they said they were on their way And did arrive started cooking and I got our foot pretty quick. The food was got frijoles charros n cebollas asadas. The price is decent and the food was filling. The music was good n employees were very kind helpfull.“
“Me and my fiancé love the food here especially the Birria pizza! Well anything Birria is really good we haven’t tried the other food yet but I bet it’s just as delicious! And every time we come the service is always great never fails to always cater to our needs and always very nice“
“I was making my way back home to Austin driving through San Antonio when I felt hungry. I popped open Yelp and came across Tacos El Rapido. The pics look good and I decided to call in and order some asada tacos and a papa con todo. The person who picked up the phone was friendly and said the order would be ready in about 10 minutes, which was perfect for me. The food truck is red, well lit, and located in a parking lot by a Circle K and a tire shop. They have several chairs set up in front of the food truck for those who want to dine in. It's cash only but they also accept Zelle, which I used to pay for my order ($19 - which is a good deal for 5 tacos and a potato with carne asada). The order came nicely packed with three different salsas (red, green, and avocado) and some limes. Both the tacos and the potato were delicious! Everything was very warm and the meat was soft and savory. I'll definitely make it a point to recommend it to friends and family in the area and will stop by myself again when I'm in San Antonio. Give them a chance!“
“This is a taco truck off of 1604 on the south side. The service was fast friendly. On this day I had an asada quesadilla. Delicious and huge. Total price was approximately 16 bucks with a drink. I can't believe I didn't take a photo. I'll update soon with photos.“
“Came with a friend gotta say we are planning on coming again. Food was great. Had the Quesabirria tacos with a side of charro beans. Tacos were outstanding. Food came with all the trimmings Top notch service. Great place pto go and sit outside with a Mexican Coke and enjoy the food. Clean and very nice. Also try a quesadilla. Get it with chorizo. You won't regret it.“
“Nice guy remembers a face and asks how you are and all that. The food was good I had the quesa birria tacos I wouldn't say the best I've ever had but if you're ever close by definitely a place to try. The only thing I didn't like was there is no tables or chairs so it's basically a to go food “
“I wish I could give 100 stars. My friend and I went there for the first time yesterday, and it could not have been a better experience. Unfortunately, we had to deal with a drunk guy that wouldn’t leave us alone. However, our waitress, another waitress and the manager all immediately came to our aid and got rid of him for us. Asking if we were OK privately to check in with us was going above and beyond. We will absolutely be back. I can’t thank the picks crew enough!“
“Absolutely love coming to the Tavern! I’m not sure what’s better , the food, the people or the mix between high end flavors and amazing specials or the feeling of that cheers type atmosphere! The owners are the nicest people and a joy to talk to! Thank you Dave Erin Milas for all the great food, happy hours and laughter!“
“These pork ribs are legit!!! The pulled pork which was delicious too. Unfortunately I got so much food that I won't need to go for Taco Tuesday tomorrow but will go next week for sure. Also, love that it is so close to my place in Lavaca but sad that the construction on Roosevelt makes it a bit hard to find.“
“Taquitos Taquitos !! I've tried different taco trucks in the past but after I came across this one I needed not to look any further - the prices are reasonable service is quick and food very fresh - you are able to call ahead if you wish - try them out“
“I'd rather come here & wait in my car than be served at most restaurants. The food is always hot and cooked to order. The consome can be consumed by itself. The portions are pretty big & the prices are way affordable. I travel for work and tried Taqueria Nacional for the first time during my last visit here. When I was told that i'd be returning again, this place was the first thing I had on my list of things to do! It's just that good And the people are terrific, genuine people! Great service, great prices, great food! Worth it“
“First time here. Atmosphere gave it a three because it’s a really small restaurant. I ordered the brisket taco with avocado and pico de gallo and it was flawlessly - Delicious. My Love ordered the Carne plate, she is very picky with her Carne Guisada , but with this Carne Guisada she never complained. She never talked until she was done eating. when she was done She Said: This Carne Guisada was delicious. I will definitely come back to this restroom.“
“a phenomenal hole in the wall! the food was amazing as i ordered the birria combo and the flavor was WONDERFUL! the servers were so nice and hospitable, as they also took my friend and i's polaroid picture towards the end :) HIGHLY RECOMMEND“
“Pack your bags and immediately go to El Monte for the best BBQ that you’ll be tasting. Tender, juicy, smoky, and did I mention tender? It was Easter Sunday. They were open for another hour. We were hungry. We headed there after some birding at Government Canyon State Natural Area. No yellow-cheeked warblers today, but we were okay with it because we did get ribs, sausage, Barbacoa tacos with fresh tortillas, creamed corn, and coconut cake at El Monte’s BBQ. The owner and staff were so friendly. The owner even showed us the smoker, which his dad had made from a propane tank in 1978. Having this history to go along with the meal was really special. The owner even gave us some brisket burnt ends to try. Wowza!!! I’ve tasted nothing like this in my life. The smoke was perfect. The seasoning was right on. Thank you El Monte!!“
“Texan Sizzle is a fantastic breakfast and lunch restaurant in downtown San Antonio. It is a smallish spot with only a few tables inside. I had the breakfast tacos on Sunday and thought they were so good I had to go back and try the breakfast sandwiches on Monday. Excellent food all around and the two guys who work there are super friendly.“
