“Indulge in mouthwatering tacos served with a side of unparalleled hospitality! This taco gem impresses not only with its delicious fare but also with the owner's remarkable dedication to ensuring every guest feels at home. A definite must-visit for taco aficionados craving both great food and a personal touch!“
“This place is amazing. Tamales are fresh and ? delicious. Mr. Chris (the owner) is very friendly and polite. He is very proud of his job. He makes you feel welcome every time. He always gas smiles, and he wants to make sure the customers are happy. We enjoy eating there. We recommend this place 100%.“
“Food was excellent. Chips and salsa were served warm and perfectly seasoned. Puffy tacos were amazing and not greasy. Got to enjoy entire taco without meat falling out the bottom. Enchiladas and chalupas were excellent. Definitely a place I would recommend to anyone. Mother loved the chicken fajitas. Beans and rice were excellent also.“
“Hidden gem on the north side of town! May very well be the best tacos I’ve had in town. Had the mini taco plate with a combination of tacos - Pastor, Asada, Chicken, and Chorizo. Pastor was killer.Great friendly service, quality food, and clean restaurant. This is a must try and this will remain on my food rotation for sure.“
“We'd tried to go here another time but they were closed and I was sad that I didn't get the try it. The building looks like they are closing down but never fret. This time they looked closed but I stuck my head in and asked if they were open and the guy behind the counter said yes so we went in! The guy was also our server and the food was AMAZING!! We will definitely be going back.“
“I happened to be in town and visited this location. Located conveniently right off the freeway. Food was really great; I ordered a Birria torta. Service was friendly and food prepared fast. Portion sizes were generous and filling, and food tasted great! I'm not from the area, but I would definitely come back next opportunity.“
“My go to for birria. I just wish you can order items separately online. When i want ramen I just want ramen but they only offer it in a combo, so I have to pay more for items I don’t want. The combo is $18 for birria ramen, one quesadilla and a soda. Please change this :)“
“Quesadillas are gods gift to earth, make sure to go on weekend to get the pastor, bistek still very good. Staff are very nice and restaurant is always clean. 11/10Parking: Not super crowded and freshly painted lines.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly.“
“Went here for the first time last night and it was good. We got there about 4pm and were the only ones in the restaurant. The clerk was very nice and took the time to explain all the items on the menu(I asked her too). She told us it was a family run business and they made all the items in house. We got the Monster Quesadilla(chicken) and the 5 street tacos(asada). I ordered a Mexican coke but it was not what I expected. It was from Mexico but was made with regular sugar instead of the cane sugar I expected. The quesadilla came on a lightly fried flour tortilla. It was loaded with chicken and cheese; it was a little greasy but that helped make it to taste very good. I ate it all and was filled up. The street tacos were double wrapped corn with a good amount of chopped steak with chopped white onions and cilantro available. There was not any sauce or cheese on them but there was a bottle of mild and of hot salsa available. I joined their loyalty program and got enough points for a free side; I will build them up until I get a free entree. The restaurant was clean and had Latino music playing on speakers. The taste and quantity of the food was great. This place was good and I'll be back“
“The food was delicious, and plenty. I really loved their corn tortillas, and they were homemade. They had a lot of options for breakfast. Our waited was great, and she took really good care of the family.Kid-friendliness: Yes, they have kids' plates.“
“El Jefe is a must try for birria. Teenager approved. Good portions and flavor at a good price. Small dining room but good enough to enjoy your tacos. Just know that the menu is Birria-centric and there is nothing wrong with that. Support your local restaurant“
“We live down the street. Its never disappointing..the food seems no matter what you order is served hot and a good amount...the lemonade..so good..great staff...small hole in the wall you can miss if not looking for..but look cause its the best Mexican restaurant in area.Parking: In front of restaurant just off the street.“
“Wonderful dishes so far. It's really a big effort to give an "artistic flair." I see their concern for the table presentation, too. This is rare for a strip center restaurant. The Huevos rancheros have choices for the side. I chose the pork chop, obviously. Very traditional homemade sauce..big veggie portions on the Ranchero Sauce. The Cafe de Olla was a rare treat to see. You'll love the outstanding cinnamon flavor...fully prepared.Parking: Strip center.. try FABI BAKERY next door to this place for unique pan.“
“The food here is serviceable. I will say I do really enjoy the BBQ nachos. It can get really loud inside, but they have a nice patio if the weather cooperates. I have noticed that the food does take longer than expected to come out of the kitchen even when they are slow. So just be ready to be patient.“
“I love this little donut shop. They have great breakfast sandwiches, kolaches(small and large). Their donuts taste better than HEB, Shipleys, dunkin,krespykreme...Much tastier and much better prices too.I love this little donut shop!2thumbs high.Definitely and always recommend themThank you.“
“Yummy, we have stopped there a couple times and my favorites are the warm cream filled donuts. The colaches are wrapped in flaky, heavenly breading. Definitely not something you can eat everyday, otherwise y'all will be 400+ lbs haha. Very sweet and delicious, served warm!“
“We absolutely love the tacos and other food from here! Flavorful plentiful just delicious !!! We take all our family from our of town to this place!!! And it NEVER disappoints! It may be more than other taco trucks but it's worth it!!! These guys are awesome“
“If you want the best Mexican food in San Antonio come here ! Personally, I love breakfast and the coffee lord it's so good like no other !!For lunch I get the nacho Asada to die for !!! Don't take my word for it check it out !!!!!????Parking: They have plenty of parking“
“Went with family last night and had some great food! This place exemplifies San Antonio cuisine. They even bring out cups of hot, delicious fideo before the meals, along with the standards chips and salsa that's common in the area. I know it looks like you won't get much from this little spot in a strip mall, but trust me it takes a lot to impress this gringo gordo.“
“The Food is 100 Delicious and will have your taste buds on a Glorious adventure!!! but if you are going to eat there? it In your car ????. The mosquitoes will have a field day on you .So eat in your car !don't leave just when you get your food. I Guarantee!!!!!!!! you'll want to get 2nds or try another Delicious item ON THE MENU.Its a Drive but It's a Hidden ???? Gem .Well worth it“
“My husband and I go very often, it is difficult to find a place where they sell tacos that the meat is good and that they serve you kindly, but here we are definitely right, the meat here in the tacos is very delicious, the pastor and the birria uuf I don't even know say! I recommend the Campechanos pastor taquitos and roast quesabirrias and drinking the lemon water with cucumber?? that is my favorite, also the one that is delicious is the strawberry lemonade one ??Really come and try the tacos here, you won't regret it ???“
“The baby back ribs were tender, crusty and sweet with tons of meat. The fried fish was corn meal breaded with a light lemon taste. It was a very large filet, and very tasty. Not fishy at all. The sliced bbq sandwich was stacked high with tender brisket. We had all of this served to us within 15 minutes of ordering. Our server was professional and very attentive. We will go back to try the many different things on the menu! Jesse knows how to cook!!Dietary restrictions: My husband is diabetic, and he had a ton of options!“
“I had the Gorditas plate with al pastor. so good! soft and crispy at the same time, very filling!! i would like to come back and try more :)i also had the horchata. it tastes a bit thin for me, but it doesn't have the chalky taste other places usually have with their horchata. so i enjoyed it!“
“Love this place! I highly recommend if you’re looking for a good taco truck to order food from. The family or people that operate it are so kind, especially the girls that work at the window! The man in the back working the grill always looks happy to be there, and you can taste the that in the food for sure!! If you’re from the area you’re missing out if you haven’t tried some tacos or tortas here! Also the beans are great!!!!!?“
“Service and food were great. When it comes down to no one being in the restaurant with no one watching the TV as an audience, they would not change the channel to the games. It was the Israel War that was more of interest to the crew that was supposed to be working. It didn't matter what the people being served wanted. After about 45 minutes being there is where people started coming into the restaurant. Crew claimed they didn't have the remote to the TV.“
“Wow, HEB got breakfast tacos? Yes they do, and they’re really good. See pictures. True Texas Tacos is in the little HEB gas station out in front of the parking lot. It’s *not* in the True Texas BBQ drive thru connected to the main grocery store. I hope HEB does this at other locations in the future. “
“One of the best breakfast tacos around. Kat was the cashier and she was very very sweet and kind. She explained all of their specials and I came right before breakfast was about to end and she even dropped some fresh potatoes for me (she didn't have to do this, but I sure did appreciate it) Kat needs to be recognized for her outstanding customer service. Thank you Kat“
“This was hands down some of the best tacos I’ve had in awhile. They were courteous and made it all to order. All the food was hot and fresh and they brought the food to my car. Next time you go make sure and try the Quesabirra tacos. I ended up going two days in a row. Don’t take my word for it check it out yourself. The food truck was clean and well maintained so that was an extra plus.“
