We had the Caprese Salad, Bruciatini and the Mussels In White Wine. And for dessert we had Panna Cotta. Can't wait to go again.”

My dad loved his Cafe Latte with a dash of cinnamon , with almond milk . The coffee is perfect , I feel like you really can’t order anything wrong . “Happy, smiling greeting and doors were opened when they saw me approaching. The chef greeted me by name at the host station and I was seated quickly. Waiter was very kind, attentive, and respected me reading my book during my meal. Chose the 4 course option, generous portions, all exceptionally delicious. Got to take course 3 and 4 leftovers to go. They box it up and it is waiting for you at host station on departure. Wine was delicious and reasonably priced. One of my favorites in SATX and the Pearl District. Please go support the CIA and chat with the students about their experience. Also really great to see them working the back of the house turning out tickets flawlessly and the front of the house with impeccable service. ???”

BUT their secret weapon is their inventive desserts! Try the elote bread, with popcorn and vanilla bean ice cream and order a Carajillo , trust me ?

“There was quite a line out the door, and it was slightly pricey, but SOOOOO worth it. Both the pastries and breakfast sandwiches were full of flavor and just melt in your mouth. I love a nice bakery anyway, but this was one of the best I've found in a while.

My husband and I walked over from the Crockett Hotel, and it was very easy to get to on foot. That being said, from being in the area previously, I believe all the parking is pay to park, and you may have to check a few lots before finding somewhere with room.”

“I had their signature dishes like guacamole and quail. It was delicious and experienced the most popular restaurant on the riverwalk. Since it is a popular place, tables were smaller. They do not give military discounts like many other restaurants on the riverwalk. Their prices were a little higher than other restaurants. If you are in town for 2-3days, recommend visiting this restaurant for lunch or dinner.”

“I have tried almost every Sushi spot in San Antonio and Shiro stands above and beyond everyplace I have been to. Every single piece of Sushi was super fresh and just melts in your mouth, it is honestly going to be hard to go anywhere else after having been to Shiro. The prices definitely reflect the quality and freshness difference compared to other places and is 110% worth it.”

“Exceptional dining experience. This was our first visit at John Carpenter's Signature restaurant La Canterra, San Antonio. We celebrated my wife's birthday with a wonderful tasting menu crafted to delight the senses. Each serving was better than the prior. Server Grace took extraordinary care of us. I left 2 gift bags with Grace to present during our meal as a surprise for my wife. Grace cleverly at our surprise brought one bag at the beginning of meal and the second at the end of. Stupendous job Grace. Thank you!!!”

We got the artichoke spinach dip, linguine carbonara, and the special of Chilean bass. For drinks we had the smoked old fashioned and Mango martini. Dessert we picked the limoncello cake. Madison, our server, was exceptional! Very attentive and professional. Made my birthday special and even sang in Italian a few beautiful lines. Overall, great food, a bit pricey but worth the experience. Wish they had more reasonable beef rib options as we really wanted to try that, the "cheapest" order was over $80 (over 2 lbs).”

“One of my top 5 Dining places in San Antonio TX !
Its owners are accomplished Culinary geniuses! Reservations I like to say are a must. The food is creative and very tastefully blended. I generally get the Chefs Choice multi served creation. This night the Pork Belly was an absolute 5 Star creation for the most amazing taste ? I have ever had. This is the best Pork Belly and number two can barely be seen with binoculars. The seating at the chefs kitchen is great view of the staff at work.
I must report when it’s 1/2 full or more the acoustics are notably every poor so having a romantic or another kind of conversation at dinner will be a challenge.

When I went back to pick up the cake, my order was ready. They showed me the cookie cake and confirmed that everything was to my liking. The quality and the taste of the cookie cake was awesome. The dining space is simple, but quite lovely, and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Service was excellent and perfectly balanced in attentiveness. With hours of 7 AM to 4 PM, this is a breakfast and lunch place, with a varied and adventurous menu that caters to meat-eaters, vegetarians, vegans, and diners in need of gluten-free alternatives. On my first visit, I had the excellent spicy fried chicken sandwich, with sides of home fries and a wonderful arugula salad with cherry tomatoes, quinoa, and a balsamic vinaigrette perfectly blended between sweet and acidic. I look forward to returning again and sampling the extensive breakfast menu. Plenty of beverages are available, and there is a stately espresso machine that speaks to a restaurant that means business when it comes to coffee. This area of Potranco has been in dire need of a sit-down coffee house alternative to Starbucks, and ELISE CUISINE is it. I’ll admit that I was initially a bit cowed by the menu prices, but the portions are very generous; I left with half my meal unfinished, so I was really getting two meals for the price of one, and in truth, virtually all the dine-in, non-fast food alternatives in the area are similarly priced, with nowhere near the ambience and elegance. I plan to be a regular at ELISE CUISINE from here on out.”

“Typically my go-to shop! Love getting lavender matchas or cortados from here, and whatever pastry of the day they have. It’s a really great area too so often times I get my drink and take a walk and check out the other local shops nearby. The guys who run Eightball will often share their space with other small businesses so it’s always cool to stop by and see what food vendors or markets they have going on during weekends! The aesthetic of the shop is gorgeous, all the baristas are really cool and friendly, and it’s one of my favorite places to be & support.”

What more can we say, we got the Gyro King All The Way. They're allowed us to try everything and the portion was beyond plenty.

When we were seated, we wanted to watch a certain game and the manager, Laura really went out of her way, bent over backwards to ensure they found the game(s) we wanted to watch, then ensured that the games would stay on ! The waitress who waited on us ( can't remember her name ) was exactly like the manager, helpful, courteous and quick with her service, thus resulting in making this our favorite location for watching sports with the drinks and menu items to order, with this type service, we will always make this our number 1 location !!
