“True whole in the wall deliciousness right here! I was around this area and was looking for some delicious pho. It was a little early in the day and Pho Fresh was the only pho place open at that time. They are located in a small plaza right on the back side of San Antonio College. The place itself is not the most inviting, but the smell in the air from all their delicious food is amazing. For my first time I decided to go with Pho Ga (chicken pho). The broth was absolutely perfection and exactly what I was looking for. It came with all the usual sides and they did not skimp on the noodles. Overall it was an amazing pho and exactly what I was looking for. I can't wait to come back again and try some of the other dishes people have been raving about on their reviews.“
“Good Vietnamese restaurant with family-style dishes in San Antonio. Tasty dishes, spacious seatings, and lots of parking lots in front. Friendly staffs. Some hood dishes: stewed fish, sweet and sour fish soups, snails, chicken wings…Vegetarian options: Soups and stir fried vegetablesParking: Multuple lots around the restaurantKid-friendliness: Many choices for kids, such as chicken wings, fries, fries rices, soups…“
“Found this gem while visiting San Antonio. It is truly a hole in the wall. Located in a neighborhood, behind a gas station. Older gentleman, one man gang, gets the job done. Boba has the perfect chew and the Viet coffee will keep you awake for a week, which is not for the weak. HehehehehIt was so good we went back the next day before we left town.“
“The food is very delicious! We got their noodle bowl, banh mi and boba tea. Banh mi is definitely one of the best I've had in years! Their bread is soft and slightly crunchy and the sandwich has so much flavor. Their noodle bowl was also delicious, they pack it with meat but It also has vegetables. I got their coffee boba, it's good but not great to be honest. I would definitely come back to try a different boba and eat again!“
“Excellent place for pho in San Antonio. I liked the amount of meat they put in the pho. It wasn't like a lot of places that either give you very little meat or have replaced the thin sliced beef with cheaper chunkier versions. I'd definitely go back. It looks like they have a lot more on the menu as well that I would like to check out. Everything was clean and service was pretty quick.“
“My fiance and I order the chicken and beef pho. The broth has such a rich and bold flavor. The topping for the soup were so fresh and clean. By far the best pho we have had and we have been to many places. We also had the chicken spring rolls and enjoys those as well. The host gentleman greeted with a warm smile and made the entire experience fantasy. Only complaint is I wish my stomach was bigger to finish the bowl haha. 100% recommend.“
“The Pho... Oh, my goodness! The Pho at Pho Saigon is a true masterpiece. Each spoonful of the broth transported me to the bustling streets of Vietnam, capturing the authentic flavors and aromas of this beloved dish. The broth was rich, fragrant, and impeccably seasoned, showcasing the meticulous attention to detail that goes into every bowl. I've tried Pho at other places in San Antonio, and none compare to Pho Saigon's offerings. The variety of Pho options on the menu cater to all tastes and preferences, ensuring there's something for everyone. Whether you're a traditionalist or looking to try something new, Pho Saigon has got you covered. The generous portions and fresh, high-quality ingredients left me feeling satisfied and longing for more.Beyond the Pho, the menu boasts a diverse selection of Vietnamese delights that are equally impressive. Each dish is a testament to the chef's dedication to delivering an authentic and mouthwatering experience. If you're contemplating trying out Pho Saigon, hesitate no more! The combination of exceptional service, inviting ambiance, and, of course, the delectable Pho make it a culinary gem that you won't regret exploring. Whether you're a seasoned lover of Vietnamese cuisine or a first-timer, Pho Saigon promises an unforgettable dining adventure that will leave you planning your next visit before you've even finished your meal. Pho Saigon is a must-try, and I can confidently say that you'll be thanking yourself for making the decision to dine at this culinary haven!“
“If I lived closer I would be here at least once a week. This place has the BEST pho in San Antonio. The broth is just so good. The workers are very nice and even remember us now. It gets a little quiet inside sometimes but there’s something about the 5 minute crafts they play constantly that makes me enjoy the experience a little more. I’ll probably always come back here“
“I’m Vietnamese and can truly say this restaurant is authentic and delicious!!! I get the pho with meatballs and my son loves the rice plate with grilled pork. The staff treats their guests like family. I’ve met the owners and they are the most sweetest people who puts so much love in their food. Come and eat the best Vietnamese food and let’s support this family owned small business y’all! so good I want some right now!“
“Me and my family have been going here for the past 28 years and we have never had anything to complain about. Amazing service and high quality food. I highly recommend getting the lemon grass pork chops or the pork vermicelli bowls. The spring rolls are also a must have every, trust me and order them.“
“Such a cute place! It has a boba tea shop vibe and the staff are very friendly. We got the pork bahn mi which was delicious! Perfect amount of pork, carrotsI, cucumber, jalapeño and cilantro. I also got a Thai Tea with boba and I loved it!“
“WOW, Com Tam pork chop dish was on point! They actually use broken rice! Definitely at the same level of Houston's Viet food, hands down! Love that they give bit of fresh chili to boost up the flavor. Finally, SA has great Vietnamese food! I will be ordering everything here anytime I get the chance. Please stay open, forever!“
“I don't eat out very often, but when I do, Pho 32 is my go-to for good Viet food (I also recommend Pho Nguyen and Pho Hung Cuong). Every type of cuisine has a benchmark dish by which an eatery is judged: for pizza, it's the margherita pizza for me, for pho, it's Bún Bò Huế (spicy beef soup). Pho 32 passes this test, the broth is deliciously flavorful and passes my congeal test (real bone broth congeals when you place the leftovers in the refrigerator). The other dishes are great and on point for Viet food, my husband enjoyed his bún thịt nứơng (vermicelli rice bowl) and the crab rangoons are deliciously crabby. There is a young man who works there who was surprisingly attentive, typically Viet places don't really wait on you and ignore you until you flag them down for the check. I gave him a generous tip for his kind service.Overall, I give this charming family-owned place a 4.5 out of 5 stars, however, because last time I ate there 3 months ago, the bún bò Huế did not pass the congeal test, leading me to believe that short cuts were made. Hopefully on my next visit I can revise my rating.“
“We must have driven by this restaurant without much thought so many times. I really don't know why, maybe the silly name. But I had heard recently that they had really good food and we were not disappointed! We have been searching for tasty Chinese in this area for a long time. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures, but everything was delicious! They offered free soup with our meals so my husband ordered the Hot and Sour and I got the Egg Drop soup. He added a little bit of pepper to his but thought it tasted good. And mine was absolutely perfect! It had the right amount of salt and viscosity that I like. They let you customize your entrees so my husband got a very spicy chicken with black bean sauce meal and I got a mildly spicy Mongolian chicken. Everything tasted really fresh and flavorful!! I even ate my egg rolls, which I normally pass on because they're too greasy. These were crispy but not oily. Delicious! We will definitely be back again!!“
“Best Pho & and Best pho Prices in NW San Antonio! We love the spicy pork and pho ga, but have recently started getting the seafood h1 with pork base. It's got a great taste. This place feels like home with kind, friendly servers, and there is always a table available. Great place to grab Boba tea as well.... My teen approves. I highly recommend checking this place out. It's a comfortable place to relax and eat!“
“I find the owners could not be any more helpful. I asked for a dish that would have lots of vegetables and the Pad Wun Sen was suggested I had never had glass noodles but figured I like noodles. how can I go wrong? The dish was wonderful. I've had it several times since. On a different note, if you like real Italian food, homemade noodles check out the Italian restaurant at the other end of the strip center. Lol, 2 reviews for the price of one“
“...dayum, this place be bussin, NO CAPI don't know what the hell Nam is, but I'm pretty sure it delivered me somewhere close to heavens gates and just dumped me there for about ten minutes. 10/10 would order again. Massuman Curry? Dayum. Panag Curry? Bussin.I live too far to come here often. My life's greatest regret. Right up there next to my first marriage.“
“My husband and I are visiting San Antonio and decided to try the local Pho restaurant and I just have to say, we are impressed with the food. From the appetizers, fresh spring roll, Vietnamese egg roll to our meal, grilled lemongrass pork and pho ga— amazing! The flavors were bold and flavorful used with fresh ingredients. The place is not fancy, but the atmosphere is welcoming and the staff was very welcoming. If you are in the mood for Pho, this is the place“
“I visited this place as it was next door to my hotel so wasn’t expecting much I was just hungry and it was walking distance I got the lo mein. When I tell you this was the best lo mein I ever had! Yummy vegetables, cabbage, broccoli, carrots the food was perfectly seasoned, noodles were divine. 2 thumbs up from me. Very delicious & reasonably priced“
“Fantasic food and fantastic friendly service.Time and time again we try new "higher end" places and each time find ourselves coming back because this place is legitimately on par or better than every other place we have been to that charges twice as much.If you want a place you can bring fam or friends that are visiting the city and are thinking "hope theyr good this time" you will never have to think that because they are always good every single time.Make this your new go-to spot like we did, its consitently great food and service, with great portion sizes so you wont feel like you didnt get what you paid for.“
“1st time here. Their service alone is outstanding! The place is clean, cozy, and quaint! I ordered a bowl of Bûn with shrimp (shrimp is extra), and it was absolutely delicious, full of flavor! The dishes have soul! You can taste the love! Their other dishes look intising! Louie made my experience very pleasant. I'm glad I stepped in! I will certainly be back again, this time with a BYOB! Come check them out for yourself!!“
“I didn’t expect such tasty food! Excellent coconut rice with veggies for a vegetarian option. Delicious choice of veg included enoki mushrooms and quartered bok choi bulbs. Delicious. The meat eaters said the meat was a bit dry but the wings were good.“
“First time eating here today, just passing by and ordered a Bahn Mi sandwich...actually got the F1 and the F6 (beef). They are both very delicious. The F1 is fresh and light, while the F6 is still fresh but more filling/satisfying...like if you wanted to really feel full, this sandwich gives that sensation. Overall, the cafe was very clean and tidy, and I appreciate how friendly everyone was--especially the lady who brought the food from the kitchen, she reminded me of my mom from Eastern Europe (that sort of lovely, sweet grandmotherly warmth)! I am looking forward to coming back and trying more items from their menu!“
“Best Chinese food this side of the pacific. Not only is it the best, they give you so much food for the cost. You pay $12 for practically three meals or more if you eat like a bird. The owners are amazing. I have been coming here consistently since I started college and I am sad I have to move away. Not because I'll miss San Antonio but because I will never have the luxury of living 5 minutes from this amazing restaurant“
“I have been going to Thien An for about 5 years They sell the best shrimp summer rolls and for those of you who don't care for seafood they also serve grill pork summer rolls. They are served with delicious peanut sauce I personally like to drizzle sriracha sauce over my peanut sauce. Their grilled pork Banh Mi is delicious the bread is warm and nice crunch to it. Their food is always fresh and delicious. Their pho also pretty good but I specifically come here for summer rolls and Banh Mi sandwiches. The staff always friendly and accommodating you must come and try them out:)!!!“
“We used to go to “Heavenly Pho” down the street on Blanco but in the past months have switched to “Pho Place” due to better quality food and its cleanliness. Also the service at Pho Place is very nice.Today I ordered lunch special “ Beef pho comes with Vietnamese roll, egg roll and a soda” —great deal. My wife & kid shared a large chicken pho.“
“Fantastic Friendly Service!! The food was absolutely delicious. This is a hidden gem that puts other restaurants to shame. One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in SA. Pho was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Fresh and Fried Spring Rolls were out of this world.“
“Stopped in on a quiet afternoon and had a great meal. The pot stickers were crispy, the spring rolls were very fresh and the pad Thai was really good. The chicken in it wasn't dry, it was just a bit spicy and plenty of crushed peanuts to top it with. I sat there for about an hour and they never rushed me out. Great meal. I would definitely go back if I'm in this area for work again.“
“We tried the Combination Pho ($14) which started off decent, but by the end of the bowl we found the clove forward, salty, and somewhat sweet broth was beginning to get overwhelming. The rice noodles were thinner than other pho we’ve had which resulted in the texture of the noodles changing and getting completely soft (not quite mushy) while we were eating. The broth was served nice and hot so the bean sprouts were properly scalded (some places don’t serve the broth hot enough and the bean sprouts stay with a raw taste). Overall, not bad, but not great either.Shaking beef ($14) is a great value here. The beef was flavorful, tender, and nicely charred lending excellent flavor to the onions, lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes it is served on. The beef itself was not the finest cut with many pieces having chewy gristle, but the flavor and overall tenderness made up for it.“
“I loved the vegetarian options. I appreciated the great service.Vegetarian options: DeliciousParking: Make sure you park in the restaurant parking lot and not the parking lot close by (near the other businesses) or else they'll tow your car.“
“We ordered from this restaurant from Uber Eats. It might be the best Vietnamese food we've ever had. My husband said that his pho brisket is to die for, as is my lemongrass tofu and veggie egg rolls. I can really taste the grilled flavor of my tofu and the red pepper gives it a nice hot spice, without being overwhelmingly hot. The egg rolls are fresh and the veggies are crispy and delicious and not at all mushy like so many egg rolls from restaurants. I highly recommend Heavenly Pho.“
“Went in to pick up some lunch, spring rolls. For roughly $12 these were super delicious & filling. They were crispy & crunchy. I got green lettuce, not white stem. I was able to fully enjoy them with some cilantro. Will be going back to treat the family.Parking: Free parking, can't complain.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat smooth surface, should have no issues with a wheelchair or mobility cart.“
“I haven't been here in quite a while, and the restaurant needs some TLC. The restaurant needs to be updated, pretty old, with old smell. The workers, I saw one waiter, and one cook, need some help with waiting on people. The food came out pretty fast and was relatively good, but we could have used some more refills of drinks. We had the springs rolls, which were really fresh and had great flavor. I had the chicken curry, yellow, which was hot, and had plenty of chicken and fresh vegetables, highly recommend. My girlfriend had the meatball and beef Pho. The bowl was filled with delicious meats and noodles, plenty of jalapeños, and bean sprouts. I did enjoy the food, but I wish they would spend some monet on updating the place. Try them and let us know, and as always, my 2 cents.“
“I recommend the Special Pho in Hot Stone Bowl! I've been dreaming of it ever since I tried it for the first time last month. It has oxtail, beef rib, and steak, and the whole soup gets served to you still bubbling to perfection. This is one of those meals you could probably share too based on how hungry you are. And for that price you can't beat it.“
“Had a very pleasant late lunch here today. The pot of jasmine tea was delicious and plentiful, the spring rolls nicely filled with lettuce, rice noodles, carrot and tofu strips and served with a yummy peanut sauce. The veggie tofu pho was full of noodles, broccoli, cabbage and steamed tofu, all in a tasty broth. A big enough portion that I took half home!I appreciated the genuine hospitality and attentiveness of the servers who clearly care about customers. I’m so glad I stopped by today and already can’t wait to return. Thank you!“
“Best vermicelli lemon grass bowl with a kick and best Vietnamese eggrolls to die for and never have to wait long food is always fresh and steaming hot .Place is not packed that’s the way I like it staff is very very friendly and owner comes out and checks on how is your food is totally cares about his customer service Y’all need to hit this spot Wish I had took pictures but I couldn’t wait next time for sureWheelchair accessibility: Roll right up from parking spot“
“Phoenix Chinese Cafe in San Antonio offers a delightful dining experience with a charming ambiance and attentive staff. The menu boasts a diverse selection of flavorful dishes, showcasing a fusion of culinary influences. The attention to detail in both presentation and taste makes it a recommended spot for those seeking a satisfying dining adventure.“
“Phenomenal food! Completely delicious and so satisfying! Always created with a smile and cheer! The meat is always tender melt in your mouth good! Not chewy or rubery at all! Everything is cooked fresh to order! The Vietnamese egg roll is the bomb! Can’t go wrong with anything here. So many options. Today I got the combination grilled vermicelli. It came with a Vietnamese egg roll!!!“
“This pho is so tasty ! U don't even need to add nothing to it cuz that broth ?! Omg ! I got the brisket pho and it was phenomenal ? my waiter was super nice too ! I'm mad I couldn't finish it cuz it's so darn good ! ugh ! Amazing!Parking: Lot of space for parking“
“While the staff were very nice and the food is good, I only gave 4 stars because when I asked for the vegetarian option of "plain pho, no meat", I wasn't aware they only use beef broth, so i wasn't able to enjoy it or eat it all. I would have appreciated it more if she had mentioned that little detail. I am aware that I do bear some responsibility because I should have asked, which I will keep in mind when I'm craving pho again and trying out a new establishment.Vegetarian options: PHO is ONLY made with BEEF broth. No veggie broth available.“
“Smaller restaurant in a smaller shopping center. The food exceeded our expectations! The Pho is as good as any other restaurants at a much better price point. You get a lot of good food for not much money and they have a decent selection of other foods too. Service was great. Ambience was lacking but for the location, it kinda fit. Recommend the P2, P3 and the combination lo mein.“
“Overall a very good bowl of Pho. The noodles were pre cooked perfectly to match the hot broth, although I wished there was a little more noodles and beef included. This did not detract much from the dish however. Plenty of onion in the soup as well as offering basil and cilantro on the side. Broth was a bit salty and needed a bit more aromatic hints to be considered excellent broth.Overall for the price, their Pho is slightly above average in my opinion.“
“This past Wednesday, we visited a restaurant we haven’t been to in years. A Dong Restaurant serves both Vietnamese and Chinese dishes.Hubby and I both had the Coconut Drink that was very refreshing. Love the fresh coconut meat! Dad had Soy Bean Milk. We started off with the Vietnamese Egg Rolls and Crab and Corn Soup. The soup tasted good but the crabmeat was not the star of the dish. Hubby had the Beef Rice Noodle, which is one of his favorite dishes. I tried some and it was tasty. Dad and I shared the Stir Fry Vermicelli Combo without the curry since we didn’t like spicy. There was some flavor but could’ve use some more. There are 2 locations. We visited the 5222 DeZavala Rd., Suite 318 location. The other location is on Agora Parkway in Selma.“
“I'm a regular here at this point. Their bun bo hue is not the best in town but they're consistently good. They're not that attentive with their service but I guess that comes with the territory. The sugar cane drink is really good but it's pricey given the liquid to ice ratio.“
