We stopped by last night and grabbed the Chicken Pad Thai medium and Mango Sticky Rice. Delish!!!! I seriously woke up with it on my mind!!! YES YES YES!!! “We have been eating at the Thai Restaurant for nearly twenty years, through four owners. We really have to say that the current owner has better food and service than the any of the previous owners. My husband always orders the green curry, which is just spicy enough for him, whether he asks for a 6 or 10 on the spicy scale. I try to order different plates, from the Pad Thai, which is always delicious with nice, firm noodles, to the Basil Fish, which is a fresh tilapia filet with lots of fresh stir-fried veggies. Everything is always fresh and clean. And the service is great, fast, efficient and very nice. We highly recommend the Thai Restaurant, for lunch or dinner, or both!“

“Baan Thai is hands down my favorite Thai restaurant in San Antonio. We even know our waitress by now, which says everything about the kind of place this is.

The food is incredible every single time. The pad thai and pad kee mow are both must-orders, and the red Thai curry is rich and perfectly spiced. Save room for the mango sticky rice and Thai tea — honestly the best way to end a meal here.

My card was compromised at 5am Sunday and although I opted to wait until Monday morning to deal with it, the bank put a hold on my account, rightfully so. They were so patient as I dealt with trying to transfer funds to another account and even started on my order so when it would be ready by the time I completed payment. By the time I made payment, food was packed and hot! We were so hungry, we decided to eat it there. We had no problem eating it in our to go boxes, but they insisted on putting it on plates. In San Antonio in 2026, that kind of value is almost hard to believe. I went with the Thai sweet and sour chicken at 3-spice — the heat was spot on, enough to know it's there without overwhelming the dish. The ginger dressing on the salad was a highlight in its own right. Portions were generous across the board; nobody left hungry. Our server Roy was a standout. A 23-year-old Army vet with great energy and a genuine interest in our BMT grad's next steps — he took time to share real, firsthand military career advice that meant a lot. Another diner at the restaurant had recommended the duck and our grad went for it. Smart call — it was a hit.
