“Baan Thai is hands down my favorite Thai restaurant in San Antonio. We even know our waitress by now, which says everything about the kind of place this is.

The food is incredible every single time. The pad thai and pad kee mow are both must-orders, and the red Thai curry is rich and perfectly spiced. Save room for the mango sticky rice and Thai tea — honestly the best way to end a meal here.

If you're looking for authentic, delicious Thai food with warm hospitality, Baan Thai is it. 10/10, no notes.“

“I have been here twice in one week, because the first time, I chose Pad Thai. Tonight, I tried the Chicken Lettuce Wraps. They were delicious! This restaurant also has Chinese entrées, which is displayed on their online menu. The portions are big and we had great service.“

“We’ve been looking for scratch kitchen Asian food and we found it. We almost didn’t go in but glad we did. The food is all fresh from scratch, delicious and served hot. The best egg rolls in town. General Tso’s Chicken, Lo Mein, Mongolian, Lettuce Wraps, Pork Dumplings, Egg Drop Soup are all amazing. We go there weekly now. No bar, so take your own beer and wine, they do provide wine glasses. The restaurant is well lit and very clean.“

The dumplings were decent. the beef fried rice was great, best beef I've ever had in fried rice. It was so tender. The stir fry was good but it could have used more flavor. Next time I'm trying a bowl of soup.“

“Stayed at the Hotel Gibbs for our anniversary and this place is a 2 min walk from the hotel. Just wanted something close and quiet to relax for lunch and this place didn't disappoint! And it was some of the best Thai food we've had, highly recommend the Thai Fried Rice and the Tom Mee. Ate the fried rice before I remembered to snap a pic it was that good! “I picked up lunch from Golden Wok in the Shell gas station on Eisenhower Rd & Midcrown Dr. I should have called it in but I didn’t. Ordered the sweet n sour pork and lemon chicken with steamed rice. Also ordered the chicken Lo Mein, All plates were made fresh and tasted great. Good portions as well, and those were the lunch plates, the dinner plates are bigger. They have a couple of tables to eat at but they were piled with their kitchen stock. I’d order from there again.“
