“My husband had M4 the salad with pork. I had the M4 soup with tofu. Both were DELICIOUS! The service was excellent! Mom approached us after we finished our meal. She is so kind, friendly and explained her history of cooking Burmese food! So informational and interesting! We will definitely be visiting again SOON!!!“

“Chef Hong's is an awesome hidden gem, located right between two buildings. The food is freshly made and amazing, never too greasy; I loved the beef noodles, chow mein, and fried rice. Their Chinese hamburgers were also incredible. The older couple who runs it provides super wholesome service, always making sure your food is hot and fresh. A must-try for anyone looking for comforting food, making it perfect for fans of comfort food. Highly recommend!

“biang biang noodles and singapore noodles, soooo good. singapore noodles was pretty spicy but what blew me away was the quality of the combination meat— shrimp, beef, chicken and egg. all of it was fresh juicy and tender. like i was already impressed with the shrimp beef and egg, but the chicken?!?! chicken i typically expect to be dry but it was juicy!!! blown away, thanks for a weekend in austin.“

“When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly, enthusiastic young man. He welcomed us to the restaurant and thanked us for choosing Ling Wu for our special occasion (birthday). He also said we would receive a complimentary dessert. It was a nice introduction to the restaurant. We ordered soup dumplings, akaushi pot stickers, fried chicken dumplings and Kung Pao chicken with cashews. All of the food was delicious and our server was friendly and efficient. When she brought the complementary dessert, it was the cutest pig shaped strawberry mousse and was delicious and playful. Even the diners at the next table wanted to take a picture of it. Everything about the meal was great.“

“this is one of the first restaurants I went to in Austin. 5 years ago and its still a favorite. love the vibe, it's never too busy, the food is delicious and the owners are nice. Today my pregnancy baby brain kicked in and I forgot my purse there and didn't notice for over 2 hours, they set it aside for me at their reserved table so no one would take it. Love drunk fish ❤❤“

“This is some of the most delicious and beautiful ramen I’ve ever had. The staff is helpful with explaining the menu and making recommendations and I always love what I get. The chicken ramen is incredible, and I love the different add ins you can do. Great edamame and great gyoza. I wish there was a few more drink options but otherwise an incredible place I will go to again and again as well as recommend to friends and family.“

“O.m.g. i dont even know where to start... the food was insanely delicious. Very fresh, filling in a nutritious way, the chili oil is AMAZING. The KIMCHI... OMG I could eat that kimchi every day of my life. The service was very good, all three servers were very nice, the food came out fast, which was surprising because the quality of the food was so incredible. They serve what i believe to be alkaline water. My boyfriend and i got the chili oil dumplings, Xiao long bao, kimchi of course and the thousand year old egg with tofu (fermented for weeks or months). Also, it wasn't expensive at all!
Im from Houston, and i haven't gone to too many places, but this is definitely my favorite restaurant in Austin! ❤“

Orange Chicken rated 4 too much sauce
Chicken broccoli rated 3.5 too much sauce, the broccoli was great and crispy.

“Good service, greasy food, smelly but charming restaurant.

I was craving Chinese and haven’t eaten at a budget friendly American Chinese restaurant in years.

Ordered orange chicken with lo mein and asked for it to be spicy got soup and spring roll included. Total with tip, I spent $15 during weekend lunch.

For the price and expectations this place is a 4/5. The chillies in the chicken were perfect in taste and spice; same with the side extra chilli sauce was good. The chicken sauce and noodles were covered in oil and tons of sauce.

The place had a slight off-putting smell but it def felt like a time capsule being a 90s restaurant which had its charm. Service was really good, looking back, I should’ve tipped more.“

“I took chicken fried rice which had soft and tender chicken with long grained rice, green peas and carrot pieces. The seasoning was good and the fried rice was tasty.
Salt peppered tofu however was totally bland unlike its name.
The take away parcel was given in a very thin plastic carry bag. I was too concerned that the food will fall down from the bag on the way back to my home. You may please provide
a better quality take away paper bag.“
