“I just had lunch at Dumpling World at the Triangle in Austin, and it was outstanding. My friend and I had the passion fruit cucumbers, the vegetarian egg rolls, and I had a new item on the menu, chicken and scallion potstickers. Everything was delicious, but I particularly want to mention the chicken and scallion potstickers. They were SO good! I plan to get them every time I go back!“

I spent 3 months in Taiwan before moving to Austin and was craving some Taiwanese fried chicken and this hit the spot. Plus, everything is made to order and comes out super fresh (that said, don't come in a rush, make sure you've got a little time to enjoy their new spot at The Thicket and hang for a bit). “The food here is incredible, in the past week me and my wife have ordered twice, first time we had the orange chicken ( WOW) and chicken soup dumplings which are an absolute must have. Ordered again last night for the second time this week and we had beef and broccoli with a large wonton soup, added some chili oil and to be honest I ate the entire 32 oz soup with the 10 wontons which was k my $10.99. “I think it’s pretty solid all around. The restaurant is a bit small, but there is quite a wide variety of items to order. Good Chinese breakfast foods as well as some standout dishes aside. Mapo tofu packs a good kick of heat, green onion pancake is probably my favorite on the menu. Definitely worth trying“

The duck was terrific and so was the duck soup that came with it!

You can top off your broth with a different variety where most other places will charge you extra for a different broth flavor. I also love that they have a different price point for their “Sealeaf” if you just want veggies and foods from the AYCE bar without any meat. Very vegan/vegetarian friendly place, but I’ve also brought meat eaters and watched them rub their full belly while rolling out the door. This restaurant is beautiful! It’s well designed and thoughtfully put together, showcasing Chinese culture while still feeling welcoming to visitors experiencing it for the first time. I never felt judged or out of place.

The staff: Big shoutout to Daniel! He noticed us struggling with the waitlist tablet at the entrance and helped us get checked in. Even with a wait, we were seated in under three minutes, and he came to grab us with a calm, friendly attitude the moment our table was ready. From there, every staff member gave us fantastic customer service, the kind you’d expect at a five star restaurant. Daniel even remembered that we liked hot water and brought us some without being asked. Managers, please give this man some recognition!

The food: The kimchi was excellent. I’m picky about kimchi since I feel it has to be made a very specific way, but this one nailed it, with a nice kick of spice. Loved it. The chicken dumplings were amazing too. My only wish is for more options for Muslim diners, since pork plays such a large role in a lot of Chinese cuisine. That’s really the only thing holding it back from a full five stars for me, otherwise everything was fantastic.

Overall: I’d give the experience a 9 out of 10. Absolutely loved it and will definitely be back. If you’re on the fence about trying this place, go for it! :)))))“

“Food was so yummy! Me and my family were very happy, took about 10 min to make 3 entrees , a kids fried rice and some gyozas that were very hot! Large portions too plenty leftovers. Came with all the condiments you would want. We would for sure go back“

For a party of two, I would recommend the split pot, since the broth portion is quite generous. The topping prices can add up quickly if you're not careful, especially for a large party.
The golden spicy soup and tom yum broth were delicious! I highly recommend the octopus, pork belly, and mixed vegetable toppings for tom yum broth. The marinated spicy beef, mixed vegetables, and wood ear mushrooms go very well with the golden spicy soup.“
