“Service was great, the staff paid attention to notes and helped me avoid specific ingredients or alter dishes ☺️ I enjoyed the food too and the shareable style! Highly recommend shrimp toast, scallion swirls, and fried rice
Parking: Complimentary valet
Kid-friendliness: There were kids making noise so it seems they allow it.“

“Every time I come here, I must be rolled out. I enter as flat as a Peking duck pancake and leave like a beautifully filled steam bun. I always love getting the mapo tofu and Peking duck here, but beware that portion sizes are HUGE. This is definitely a place I'd go out of my way to go to, especially when I have friends, family, or an army to help me tackle all the delicious foods they have here.“

“Drove up to this place because we were looking for authentic Chinese food ( we are Chinese ). The building from outside is a bit lackluster. Insides however is nice and cozy.
The gentleman who seated us was friendly and helpful from the minute we walked in to the time we left! Chinese restaurants aren’t usually know for their services.
Our food came up QUICK and HOT and FRESH. Very general portion. We left very full and had left over for another meal. We ordered 4 dishes and they were all kids approved. We wanted a fish but was hesitant bc of the spicy level. Our waited offered to make it non spicy which definitely suited our children’s taste.
The only thing that caught me off guard is they charge 20% service fee for a family of 5. Overall, highly recommend. Food is great!“

“First time here with my boyfriend and the atmosphere was great. We were sat quickly and were able to make reservations last minute Friday night. The food was amazing and did not disappoint. Service was friendly and server had great recommendations. It was more expensive than we expected with drinks being $18-20 each. Overall totally worth it.“

“Great food, service, ambiance. Not too loud but lively enough to feel social. Welcoming crew with good knowledge of their dishes. Great bar seating with backs to the seats! Most importantly the food is fantastic. Opinion: better wine list than the neighbors for a similar price tag, which will keep me coming back here more often than not!“

“Had a fantastic experience and my family is definitely coming back! The food and the service were excellent and the Nasi Pedang was impressive. We came with children who ate picky and that also loved everything and the staff was so sweet to them. I want to eat there everyday.... At least if I could I would. 🥳“

“The food was excellent but I wish I could give the service six stars. There was so many small things that they did that were so considerate that I have never seen at another restaurant. I left the restaurant. Very impressed with how attentive and kind all the wait staff were.
On top of that the food was excellently cooked. Everything was tender and delicious.“

“Chef Hong is the best little spot, I always order the noodles with meat and bean sauce and The pork and cabbage dumplings. The portion sizes are really great for the prices, you can't beat them.
The service is usually as fast as can be even when they're busy and they are always super friendly! I always try and recommend them when I can,“

“Dumpling World is a delightful find that I stumbled upon on a quiet Thursday evening. The restaurant is clean, and the service is impressively fast, making it a convenient choice for a quick yet satisfying meal. Despite the challenging parking situation, the dining experience inside more than made up for it.
We began our meal with the Shrimp Fried Rice, which set the tone for the evening. The smoky wok flavor was present in every bite, with the egg cooked to perfection, adding a lovely texture throughout the dish. The shrimp were fresh, juicy, and the scallions were layered in just right, adding a nice sharpness. The occasional crispy rice grains provided a delightful crunch, making this dish a must-try.
Next up were the Roasted Garlic Green Beans, and they did not disappoint. The roasted garlic flavor was rich and complemented by small bits of fried pork, which added a nice depth to the dish. The seasoning was spot-on—salty with a slight tang from the soy sauce—and the beans themselves had a satisfying crunch. Visually, the vibrant green color made them look as appetizing as they tasted.
The Szechuan Tan Tan Noodles were a complex and flavorful dish that quickly became a favorite. The peanuts added a nice crunch and depth, while the chili oil brought just the right amount of heat without overpowering the other flavors. The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the bits of pork added a pleasant texture. The bok choy was a surprise standout, with its slightly sour, juicy, and crunchy character tying the dish together. The flavors stayed consistent from the first bite to the last, making this an immaculate dish.
Finally, we ended with the Pan-Fried Pork Soup Buns, which were undoubtedly the star of the show. These buns were served piping hot, with the rich, slightly sweet broth trapped inside. Biting into one was like unlocking a treasure—the broth was incredibly flavorful and paired perfectly with the chewy, crispy bun. A dash of chili crunch oil elevated the flavors even further, making each bite an absolute delight. This dish alone is worth the visit.
Overall, Dumpling World delivers on all fronts—flavor, service, and atmosphere. The reasonable pricing only adds to its appeal. I left completely satisfied and look forward to returning. Whether you’re a dumpling enthusiast or just looking for a great meal, Dumpling World is a place you won’t want to miss.“

“A hidden gem!
When I arrived, I wasn’t so sure about the place because outside did not have the kind of aesthetics that I am attracted to. Once I walked in, I thought very old fashion but okay.
The ladies working there were so attentive and the food came out super fast. Serving size was ample and the taste ?!
We tried the scallion pancakes for appetizer. Light and crisp with mouthful of savoriness. We also ordered dry Szechwan chicken, salt and pepper chicken and beef fired rice. There was more than enough for 4 people and left over for 2 meals. Really delicious and I was happy to have found the place to revisit.“

“I've been to hotpots with this price point in Vegas and Chicago and Dallas and I was blown away with the quality of the buffet offerings at Soup Leaf. This is premium AYCE hot pot at non-premium prices. The dinner meat menu was pretty standard, but the Buffet was extraordinary as it has so many premium seafood and vegetarian item. My new favorite restaurant in Austin.“

“Their dimsum is very reasonably priced. I love their sesame balls - crispy on the outside and perfectly chewy on the inside.

“Just tried Song La for the first time today. Shirley was so incredibly friendly and the food was fantastic. I spent 3 months in Taiwan before moving to Austin and was craving some Taiwanese fried chicken and this hit the spot. Plus, everything is made to order and comes out super fresh (that said, don't come in a rush, make sure you've got a little time to enjoy their new spot at The Thicket and hang for a bit). Whether you've had Taiwanese food before and are craving it or just want to try some incredible fried chicken in a cool South Austin spot, definitely give them a try. ❤“

“This is probable the place where I have found the most authentic Chinese food in Texas. We buy food to go here at least once per month.
Pros: Food quality, consistency and variety
Cons: The place itself and the shopping area where it is located are not optimal but I did not penalized them for it“

“Secret Excellent Chinese Food… hidden in an obscure location… with no outside frills. Not busy. But great SiChaun food … especially for Austin!
The salt and pepper tofu was delicious. My son loved the Dan Dan Noodles. And the green beans were delicious too!
Oh and the service was very helpful and fast. Great recommendations… and we ordered too much! ? as if that’s a problem…
I will plan to come here whenever I am in Austin again.“

“When in Westlake, and looking for delicious Chinese this would be the spot. From the moment you enter everyone is smiling, music is playing, and it’s definitely upbeat! Service is almost instantly greeted with water, and someone asking what they can get for you. I love this kind of experience. Food is amazing, and the price is good. Love you guys!“

“If I could give Yellow Ranger 6 stars I would. Chef is pulling out all stops of creativity, love their staples and frequently changing specials. Their queso is a contender for best in ATX. And you have to respect that they kept the Burger Tex, honoring the legacy of the shuttered Austin burger joint.
The space is dimly lit, divey perfection. The drinks from Golden Horn crush. You can’t miss a draft spicy marg to pair alongside crispy chicken sandos and egg rolls.
If this isn’t on your list of frequent stops, you’re wrong. You’re welcome.“

“Good food, automat is an unnecessary novelty. You order. You get a text. You walk up and pull your food out. Completely unnecessary to have random windows, hard to scan the code on your phone. I don't know. Still really enjoyed the dumplings.“

“I'm a regular at House of Three and have been for at least 4 years. I introduced my husband to authentic Chinese food from House of 3 and he loves them too. Their Sichuan cuisine is authentic and delicious. I've tried other places in Austin with similar cuisine and House of Three always comes out on top.
Our favorite dishes (our spice tolerance is pretty high, YMMV):
1. Mala Chicken: pretty hot. Has both sichuan peppers and fresh green peppers.
2. Spicy boiled beef: this is my usual order. i usually sub chicken for beef. This is soupy, spicy, brothy and comforting. Has sichuan peppers.
3. Mongolian Beef: this is a crowd pleaser, not too spicy and extremely flavorful
4. Jumping fish: slightly spicy and very delicious
5. Cumin lamb: medium spicy. cumin is the primary flavor of this dish
6. Pork Wonton in Spicy Soup: this soup has the most unique spicy, umami flavor. This also quickly became my usual order.“

If you love food like I do, then go here immediately“
