“Exceptional omakase. One of my favorite restaurants in Austin. The chef is extremely personable and kind. Made me feel incredible comfortable throughout the whole experience. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. The food itself was absolutely delicious. Every single nigiri was exceptional, with wonderful rice texture. The fish itself was always excellent quality and the sauces lightly coated on each fish were excellently paired with the flavor profile of the fish itself. Drinks: I did the sake pairing which had two options, a standard pairing for $80 iirc, and prestige pairing for $100. I did the pairing for $100. It was outstanding. My friend opted to do the prestige wine pairing ($110); she thoroughly enjoyed that pairing, as well. After the 22 courses, we went back the bar/lounge area and opted to finish our night with a glass of or Born Gold sake. The service team was incredible throughout the meal. Their presence was very low-key, but they were informative and really kind. Will absolutely be returning in the future.“

Everything I’ve tried, from the ceviche tropical to the ramen soup, has been delicious and full of flavor. The food always tastes fresh, which is something I really appreciate. We came in on Wednesday at 5pm without a reservation and they were so welcoming and found us a seat by the window where there was great people-watching. I will definitely be making a reservation next time we dine here because this place is popular during happy hour and I can see why. We had the raw oysters from the east coast, clams michelada, tuna tartar, hush puppies, burger with fries, dirty gin martini, and a bottle of wine (50% off during happy hour!) I strongly recommend the raw oysters, burger with fries, and tuna tartar as well as the martinis. Really loved the food, atmosphere, and staff. We will be back!“

“I saw The Shore on my Google map and clicked on the link. I saw their Happy Hour Menu and noticed they had 1/2 price Oysters and several other choices. We decided to stop there on our way back home. We got there at 3:30 and found that they would not open until 4 pm due to an earlier water leak. We asked if we could just sit at the bar until they opened because we really wanted to have oysters for our anniversary. The manager said since we were wanting oysters we could sit at the bar and get drinks and the oysters. Chef Cody explained all the different oysters offered and we decided to let him choose the oysters and we were not disappointed . He chose the gulf coast, summer time, Black moon and pink moon. All the options were fresh tasting with just a touch of saltiness . We also had the mussels with fries. We have not had mussels this good in a very long time. the broth was thick with butter, wine and capers. The grilled ciabatta bread was so buttery and crispy we ordered additional pieces. The calamari was lightly breaded rings and tentacles and were heavenly. We also tried the Hi Mexican Lager on tap, it was light and smooth. Our bartender was very sweet and helpful with our choices. We also would like to thank the manager who being so accommodating to us and making our 42nd anniversary so special. We will definitely stop there again!!!!!“

“We visited this place for the first time last night. We were invited to a wedding proposal for our daughter. It was very special and they accommodated everything for us. The only drawback we had was we had to order our food from a specific menu. The choices were not things we would’ve ordered for ourselves. Price was also very expensive, including tip. The food and how it was brought out reminded me of the cruises we have been on. Same way as going to the dining room for dinner. Everything was good, but again not what we would order for ourselves. Some of the staff seemed to be having a bad day, but the bartenders were amazing and very friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant and it was beautiful in there. Unless we are invited back, I highly doubt we would return though. Way too expensive and we could get great seafood elsewhere, and more reasonably priced.“

We asked if we could sit near the water and they took us to a table one row away (the rest was booked). Happy Hour was almost over but our waiter Baddi said we had enough time to order. He recommended a margarita/sangria mix which was yummy. We ordered the HH brisket fries and Tuna Wontons. Everything was delicious and Baddi’s service was excellent. At one point the music got really loud, which started to annoy us, till we looked out over the water and a slack rope walker was performing over the water. It was quite a show! He later did the same thing over one of their outdoor decks on the other side. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and were surprised so few of the indoor seats were full. If they opened their door and made it more welcoming, we thought a lot more people would have come over as the outside areas were packed for the lights.“

Delicious broths with veggie/vegan options, tons of veggies and noodles AYCE style, and availability for included AYCE seafood at the bar, plus meats they bring out to you (if you’re into that). Unlimited sauce bar, rice, noodles…everything is included. They also have fruit and soft serve for dessert. You can top off your broth with a different variety where most other places will charge you extra for a different broth flavor. I also love that they have a different price point for their “Sealeaf” if you just want veggies and foods from the AYCE bar without any meat. Very vegan/vegetarian friendly place, but I’ve also brought meat eaters and watched them rub their full belly while rolling out the door. Great value, taste, variety of fresh ingredients, a consistently good experience.“

“Our server was Anthony, he was so patient and attentive to our elderly parents and really made us feel like family as cheesy as that is. The service was fantastic, the manager came over to chat and ask how everything was which was a nice touch. The food was delicious and the portions were good sized. We even took advantage of the $10 take away meal they have for our son at home. The hosts held the door for us on the way out and they even had mints!
