“I had a mixed experience. The oysters were just okay—not the standout I was hoping for, but they were fresh and well-presented.
On the other hand, the soup was spot on! It was flavorful and comforting, definitely a highlight of the meal.
The establishment itself was somewhat clean, though there’s a bit of room for improvement in that area.
What really stood out during my visit was the service. Despite being understaffed during my visit, the team did an admirable job of assisting customers as much as they could. Their dedication to providing good service was evident, and I appreciated their efforts to keep everything running smoothly. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal.
Overall, I would recommend Mariscos La Fonda for the soup and great service, but I hope to see improvements in the oysters and cleanliness on my next visit.“

“Hubby and I went for dinner and the environment was very welcoming and so were the staff. Julius was our waiter and he was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Not only did he make great menu recommendations, he fixed our bill to reflect their Happy Hour half off prices!!! Things to try… Fried Mushrooms - A MUST!!! If you like spicy - the stuffed/fried jalapeños Caesar salad - AMAZING (with fresh pepper) Cajun ribeye - Yummy Fried shrimp - OMGEESH Brussel sprouts - Must try Even the bread with fresh honey butter was great!!! 10/10 will return again and again!!!“
“Where to Start! :) Tears down my face! this lovely family was a vendor at my autism sensitive santa today in New Braunfels, TX! I say that god puts people in front of us for good reasons :) he did that just tonight! The owner Rescued me from my cater person who brought in burnt non edible food! he offered to send his family to heb with $40 from us to get chicken to make dinner! he served chicken and french fries that were delicious❤️thank you Martys kitchen we lover you❤️❤️“

“I swear they’re more busy than the bar that they serve out of. I loved them when they were at their previous location and I love them now. Great homemade chips and salsa, awesome tacos and tortas. My favorite is the Al pastor. Amazing flavor and always great service! Anytime you’re in San Marcos you have to stop by this place.“

“Bulldaddies has hands down the best buttery spicy crawfish in town! If they’re having a crawfish boil you really don’t want to miss out! It was previously called Louie’s if you’ve been here awhile they’re under the same ownership. It’s a great place to go to watch the game. They have soooo many taps, a fun spin the shot wheel, and nice upbeat bartenders. They recently remodeled and it looks really nice the vibes are always good. I have brought my three year old son with me for a boil and he enjoyed himself on the turf and with the big jenga. I’ve seen other kids there, college kids, people with tattoos, grandparents literally anyone can come here and feel welcome.“

“We had dinner at Abby’s. There’s an extensive menu which includes attractive drinks and desserts. The Shrimp basket was slightly overseasoned but tasty. We also ordered crab cakes that were cut in half on a bed of creamy coleslaw. They were very good. The mahi on mango salsa. In my opinion the seasoning was missing the mango sweet flavor. The restaurant is nicely decorated although we could not put together a theme except for a beach trend.“
