“Finally got to try this place after having it pinned. Food was good and did not disappoint! First, their tortillas de masa (corn) are fresh. Met the owner and he was cool.

He mentioned that they are in the middle of renovations so I’m looking forward to what’s to come. I’m hoping to collab with them and bring some ‘Deep House’ vibes and a new hot spot in San Marcos! (cough, cough) :D

The Carne asada taco, tuna tostada and fish taco and the quesadilla de asada are definitely worth trying for yourselves. I did not try this but the burrito from the table next to us looks promising. A local business definitely worth checking out and supporting imo”

“For the last three years my friend and I go to Sequin to pick up girls from Texas Girls State. We found this restaurant and have been back each year. The food is incredible and the service is friendly. This year we discussed that eventhough we will both be retired, we will need to volunteer to bring the girls next year just to go to this restaurant. I had ordered spicy lobster dumplins and Tom Young noodle soup. I could not believe how great the soup was. The dumplins were good, but I had to transport the soup home. The next night my husband and I shared the rest of the soup, and my husband could not believe how flavorful the soup was and could we get more. I may have to travel to San Maros just to get more soup.”

Now I am the parent as we visited for a Sigma Chi reunion and to show my HS senior step son the campus. It felt good and JORDAN, our waitress was OUTSTANDING. It felt good being there.”

“If you like dark beer, this is the best brewery in the San Marcos area. Wonderful outdoor seating, limited but acceptable indoor. Although the menu is small, they do everything I've had on it well (the reuben is fabulous).

Their beer is so good I've driven 40+ minutes to pick it up.”

Everything was beyond good!
Although I was a bit confused about the pricing for the beef and broccoli stir fry in the menu book it is priced $16.99 so when I ordered I was told since it’s beef it will be more and he priced it at $18.99
I didn’t see anywhere on the menu for that price, I still ordered it but that is definitely something that should be corrected or stated on the menu. Over all the fried wontons and specifically the mango sticky rice was sooo good!
Definitely need to try more stuff on the menu. The atmosphere was great and our server was super nice! Therefore I give this place a 4 stars .”

For example most pizza places I normally dont like sausage pizza, but here the sausage used is quite a bit different and I actually enjoyed it.

Overall great place for pizza and I'll have to go back for more. Though parking is a bit of a pain. It's a small lot with not much room to drive through but I cant hold that against the store too much, just be aware of that when visiting.”

“It’s over all a good place, the food is good and the people are nice however my biggest concern is they do not update the price of foods online to reflect the in house menu. For example the “super taco” used to be 4.99 and it still reflects that online however after the most recent visit there the price has gone up to 10 dollars with tax. Other than that a great place.”

“I've been to many McDonald's around where I live in New Braunfels and seeking and I've had really bad experience from the employees being rude to charging for extra condiments. The one in San Marcos is totally different I was greeted I had nothing wrong with my order I got everything. I didn't have to take the food back and complain but because I really don't like to complain at all. Also the I think it's the manager Ashley I believe her name was she was such a sweetheart. I will definitely continue to post my reviews and continue to use this McDonald's.”

“I had my first sub a 12 inch and I'm telling you it was so filling and very tasteful and loaded. I have never tasted a sub as good as this one and will certainly go back and either try another sub or sandwich or anything else they have their. My grandson loved their Mac and cheese for sure. My hubby enjoyed his side dish of tomatoes and cucumbers very fresh and tasty too!. The 12 inch sub was a little too much for us but it were super great and will not go to waste for I will continue to eat up the remainder of it. I'll need to try their Carrot Cake next visit and believe me there will be many from now on. Thank You McAllister the employees were very nice and quickly to do orders. Got a little busy but they all worked together to serve customers as quick as possible. Thank you again, I went to the one by the KOBE Restaurant in San Marcos. Excellent choice!”

Met the owners Selina and Johnny Ybarra, their long-time manager, Lillian and a few of their wonderful servers. Very attentive service, I was able to easily customize my meal and it was delicious!! My colleague's beef fajita taco looked very fresh and a generous portion! Definitely a staple for authentic Mexican food in San Marcos! Definitely 5-Stars all the way around! The beautiful and courteous woman informed me that it is made from scratch so it would be a while. Nevertheless, I went outside to talk on the phone and the cook came to apologize about the time (but it had only been 20 minutes). She offered me an absolutely delicious mouth water brisket sandwich with the bread toasted to perfection. It was so good, I almost forgot about the sauce and it was good too! When we arrived she heard our son talking about how much he loved the fish in the aquarium, so she gave us a table right next to them so he could enjoy them during our time in the restaurant. She offered spider man stickers for our son to put on his cup, and checked in frequently when the kitchen was getting backed up with orders to insure us our food would be out as soon as possible. We normally have good experiences here, but Jackie made it a great experience. I ordered the chilaquiles verdes with two over medium eggs on top and they were the most flavorful And delicious chilaquiles I’ve EVER eaten! I’ve tried many!! I've chatted a bunch with Peggy, I've also met Mike and Rutherford, and they're all so knowledgeable and just lovely to be around. Peggy often plays silent films on a screen, as well as lovely music. I love that I'm able to find wine here that I can't find anywhere else, as well as chat and get proper recommendations from actual Sommeliers. It's an absolute pleasure. I'm only hesitant to recommend it because I don't want them to get too crowded for my own selfish reasons, but I also want them to do well here, because they are so wonderful, so I have to highly recommend them.
