Best Mexican Food between Austin and San Antonio, wait staff is excellent. I've been eating Mexican food all my life 70 years. This is the best I've had. Thanks for the experience and We Los Texas Wranglers will be back!!!

Jorge’s Mexican Restaurant in San Marcos offers good food, with fresh and homemade corn tortillas and fantastic chips, guac, salsa, and queso. The food is good, though it relies heavily on hot peppers for seasoning and is light on herbs, even cilantro. Nothing fancy. The salsa is a huge fan favorite. Service is great, welcoming, and speedy, but can be a bit forgetful and may need to write things down; incomplete or incorrect meal orders have happened. The service is also very attentive, patient with little ones, and not intrusive. The bar is ok. However, the atmosphere can be a problem if a DJ is excessively loud, making it hard to converse and causing an absolutely miserable dining experience. It can also take a long time to receive food on such occasions. Despite this, many recommend the place for any occasion, especially for the good food and service.
