“I can't recommend this place enough!!!! (As much as I want to gate-keep this place) This has been my partner and I's go to spot to take our friends here and visiting. The staff is amazing and passionate, the vibes are immaculate, and the food and drinks are top tier! From their brunch to dinner menu I swear it is all so good I haven't had anything I wouldn't order again. The Beignets ARE A MUST ORDER - trust me!!! Parking can be challenging but there is areas around to park at that have been easy - be prepared to have a cute neighborhood stroll before having the best meal.“
“I went to French Quarter Grille yesterday for the first time, the food was great, the service was adaquate and the prices were moderate, while it's nice to have a Cajun restaurant in my neck of the woods (Northeast Austin) it's unfortunately not one of the best Cajun restaurants I've been to.“
“What a wonderful place if I may start off! Was seated down immediately and the menu was properly explained to us. Didn’t wait too long for our food to arrive. The seafood itself if I may be honest, wasn’t exactly the top tier quality I expected from past reviews. But man, the sauce was incredible! I got the Lemon Pepper Medium spice and it was just absolutely the perfect amount of tang and spice I needed. Totally made the food a much better eating experience. Size of the Crab Legs and Shrimp I got was appropriately sized. Our waiter Terry, was great! If you come in and he’s your waiter and man! The restaurant also gave us a couple of beignets to try which was a nice gesture.Overall when you come here, expect great sauce, great waiters, and a welcoming atmosphere! Price is as expected for a seafood boil (around $40 a person) and quality is hugely dependent on the season (which in our case, the season of crawfish and etc isnt the best right now). But would recommend anyone to give this place a shot ?“
“Really good Cajun food. The crawfish is always really good and I was pleasantly surprised at how good their catfish was as well. Bought some cafe du monde beignet mix there, made it at home and they came out really good! The only thing I will say they could do better is the iced tea doesn't taste that great and I wish they had more seating room inside.“
“Amazing place, sometimes the crawfish is not as clean as they should be, but that is forgivable being that was only a handful of occurances out of many. All other food is amazing and this place surprisingly has some of the best burgers you can find.“
“This was our first time visiting. The food was really good (Except for the portion is on the smaller side). But our waiter seemed like he was in a hurry, he took my husband’s plate while he was still eating his fries, and brought the check directly instead of asking if we wanted dessert. Other than that everything was great, will come back again.“
“I took culinary arts class for 1 year... once upon a time, I cooked the best wings I ever ate, but then I came across this truck ? . Chicken so tasty ? you better get home before you start eating, cause once you start you won't be able to stop. Competition level wings ? “
“My wife and I enjoyed our Anniversary dinner. We started of with appetizer crab fingers and it was absolutely amazing. She had for dinner the Chef Special Fried Blue Crab and I had the Fired Platter and both was hot and fresh and taste amazing. Our server was spot on and the Gm Stefania came by and did a table check. Great experience this is why we always come back!“
“Went back tonight and enjoyed some more oysters that were presented with great detail. Ryan our server was a pleasure and had many suggestions: all of which knocked it out of the park again. The whole baked fish (Huachinango) was the star of the show. You can make your own tacos stuffed with all kinds of fresh Latin-inspired accoutrements. We will be back again soon. Hopefully for happy hour!“
“I really liked the vibe here. It has enjoyable live music, with several throwbacks to things Austin to decorate the place. The staff were attentive and kind. The jambalaya was spicier than expected and a bit dry, but still good. Used a red rice which not a fan of though. All the shrimp dishes were pretty good. The alligator bites were good, and the ettouffe was alright. There was something seriously off with the gumbo though so definitely don't recommend it. But the ettouffe tasted more like a gumbo and the gumbo was more like a bland, riceless soup.“
“The Buffalo Shrimp PoBoy was really good. I couldn't eat all of it but I really enjoyed it. Cool spot for a quick drop by, near lots of other restaurants. This is a casual spot so don't get dolled up to go. No direct parking, you'll have to go to a lot or walk a few blocks if you're staying at surrounding hotels.“
“I got the honey hot and lemon peeper chicken it was fried fresh and crispy yet tender inside and the honey hot in my opinion was not hot it was super tasty and very palatable and the lemon pepper is better than wingstop or wings and things or wing Daddys it was super yummy. I dont regret visiting here while on a short trip!!Parking: As long as it is not busy you can park right in front of their truckKid-friendliness: Anyone can go there nothing seemed to be un safe when we went. I took my daughter with me.Wheelchair accessibility: It’s an outside lot so it is accessible.“
“We recently had the pleasure of dining at Pappadeaux and the young server, Curtis, truly made the experience exceptional! From his warm greeting to his attentive service throughout the meal, Curtis went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of fantastic. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he offered great recommendations that suited our tastes perfectly. I highly recommend Curtis and this Pappadeaux location for their outstanding service and looking forward to returning to dine here again soon!“
“Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen offers a fantastic dining experience with its delicious seafood and welcoming atmosphere. From fresh oysters to flavorful gumbo, each dish is a culinary delight. With attentive service and a lively ambiance, it's the perfect spot for seafood lovers to indulge in a memorable meal.“
“Thee food was amazing! ish was on point. The boils were good though a tadbit salty. The manager did mention we could have requested to have it reboiled to remove some of the saltiness but we were happy with it nonetheless! My daugjter asked for the hamburger and said was great! Had a live band that played well and server was super attentive. 5 stars all the way!“
“My daughter and son in law took me here, for my birthday it was our first time there. Mr. Allen the waiter was an awesome nice energetic handsome man may I add, Allen helped us feel welcomed and gave us some good pointers. Shrimp fried rice was a plus ➕️ ? and that green sauce was yummy I had to take some home. We will return agine“
“Good food and nice staff. The boudin egg rolls were good, even though the texture of the filling was not to my liking, the flavor was good and the dipping sauce was delicious. The chicken and sausage gumbo was very tasty ? I wanted to try the crawfish etoufee, however they didn't have any the day of my visit. My coworker had the fried catfish and also the turkey necks and said they were both very, very good. Overall, we both give this place a thumbs up?? and will be back to try more!“
“Cutest diner in Austin. We've been here probably 6-7 times and have a good experience each time. My partner loves the shrimp platter. I'm not big into seafood but I enjoy the French toast or the Sawyer Club. All the drinks we got were great -- especially the frozen special -- I think it was called watermelon sugar high? Something like that.My friend got the bread pudding. It didn't look all that appetizing, but I tried it and then was kicking myself for not ordering it. I'll probably have to go back just for that.“
“Food is always great here, and without breaking the bank. Had the single meat (brisket) with two sides (their awesome potato salad and Cole slaw) and added a Mac n cheese, along with a tall Pinthouse Electric Jellyfish to wash it down, and got out of there for under $30 including a $10 tip. Always tip well folks, these servers and bartenders deserve it. Most of the time!! ;)“
“Second time eating here. Service was amazing, and so is the atmosphere. It's a bit expensive, but it was worth it. Also, without asking the staff, they paid attention and brought my granddaughter a piece of cheesecake and sang her the birthday song. I was amazed at that. Thank you for making my granddaughter feel special.“
“It's finally summer, so time for road trip dates and weekend trips. And if your travel love language is food like mine, I know you'll be trying out some awesome restaurants outside of Dallas. So, I have this one for my seafood lovers! Just down the road in Austin you can find some of the best seasoned boiled seafood at @kasianboil . I have crawfish, shrimp & snowcrab while there and yes, it was goooooood! It's a Must Visit & I will definitely be going back. Pro Tip : Ask for a side of sauce.. you'll want more one you taste it. Bonus Tip: Check out their deal on @groupon“
“OMG! After a mix up in pick up time was corrected, I got my food quickly and barely had to wait. Drove 11 minutes to my daughter’s house and our boiled dinners were still hot! We were just in New Orleans last December and I have to say that this meal was better than what we had there. The flavor was perfect and my hush puppies were phenomenal. My daughter had the Cajun Boil and I had the mini headless shrimp boil. I am definitely going back!“
“We had oysters and crawfish in March. They were both delicious. Out waiter was respectful, and courteous. The order did take a while to get to us but is was worth the wait, it is not a fast food restaurant. FYI corona or xx beer go with seafood.“
“Amazing service, atmosphere and food! Portions are great, everyone is so friendly and everything tastes amazing. If you want a great place to enjoy a great evening you should def visit; also ask for Juan!Dietary restrictions: Allergic to peanuts and all good!“
“"Cypress Grill is an absolute gem! From the moment you step in, the inviting atmosphere sweeps you away. The decor is charming, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. But the real star of the show is the food. Every dish bursts with flavor and freshness, showcasing the chef's mastery of Louisiana cuisine. Whether you're indulging in their perfectly seasoned seafood or savoring their mouthwatering Cajun classics, every bite is a culinary delight. Plus, the portions are generous, ensuring you leave satisfied every time. Cypress Grill is truly a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Southern hospitality and delicious, comforting fare."“
