This is a lounge style Japanese restaurant with fantastic sushi and other wonderful delicacies. The flavors are subtle and well combined in every dish. We tried the fried rice, gyoza, edamame and multiple sushi options. They are also accommodating to off the menu requests. Great place tor a date or to enjoy with friends. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the La Cantera area.

Uni'Ko Japanese Lounge offers a vibe from the moment you walk in, with an elegant and beautiful interior and a relaxed atmosphere. The service is always outstanding, friendly, and perfect, with helpful waiters who have great taste in wine and dinner options. The food is amazing and authentic, with standout dishes like the blue fin tuna sashimi that is like butter and the best sashimi ever tasted. The Romeo and Juliet roll is a favorite, wrapped in bluefin tuna with crab and avocado, topped with spicy salmon, and served with a ponzu and garlic sauce, lit on fire at the table. Other highlights include sushi ceviche, softshell crab, and rolls topped with tuna, jalapeño, and roe. Even the gyoza are perfect. Every roll is beautifully plated and tastes even better than it looks. The staff often surprises guests with thoughtful dessert plates. While some found the options limited and were underwhelmed except for the softshell crab, many describe the experience as unforgettable and the perfect choice for celebrations. Uni'Ko is easily one of the favorite sushi spots in San Antonio, and guests will definitely be back.
