“First went there earlier this year, impressed us the minute we walked in the door, employees greet you upon entering with a truly warm, illuminating smile. When we were seated, we wanted to watch a certain game and the manager, Laura really went out of her way, bent over backwards to ensure they found the game(s) we wanted to watch, then ensured that the games would stay on ! The waitress who waited on us ( can't remember her name ) was exactly like the manager, helpful, courteous and quick with her service, thus resulting in making this our favorite location for watching sports with the drinks and menu items to order, with this type service, we will always make this our number 1 location !! “5 Monkeys... nice, funny name, isn't it? I've tried this place a few times now, and honestly, it keeps amazing me every single visit. It's a perfect spot to hang out with friends as well as family. The staff is very well-mannered and attentive, they keep checking on you without being overbearing, which is really nice. The Long Island Iced Tea is one of my go-to drinks here, and it's amazing. They also offer complimentary nuts (cashews, peanuts, and chickpeas) which are super tasty and perfect when you want a light snack along with your drink. They opened just a month or two ago, and we've already been here around 6 times, that itself says a lot. Food highlights: Chicken Wings - I call them jumbo chicken wings. I love the garlic parmesan, and my wife loves the buffalo garlic parmesan. 5/5 Chicken Nuggets - Nice, juicy, and crispy. 5/5 Loaded Fries - My absolute favorite appetizer. 10/5 Grilled Chicken Melt - The bread and chicken are sooo good. 5/5 My friend tried the Pitawich (falafel & chicken) and said it was really good. Grilled Chicken Platter - Amazing combination of basmati rice, fries, salad, and sauce. 5/5 My friends also tried the Touchdown Lamb Platter and enjoyed it. Portion sizes, especially for the appetizers, are very generous. If you're looking for good food, good drinks, and a great atmosphere, this is definitely a place to try. They also have hookah, we didn't get a chance to try it yet. On a lighter note , the only small request would be better lighting so we can take nicer pictures of the food... haha! San Antonio badly needed a place like this with good drinks and food, and we finally got it. Perfect spot to watch games and chill. Highly recommended!“

They always remember our(wife and I)cranberry and vodka and never fail to mention if anything is on special. I really enjoy the outside patio. Plenty of seating, fans and TV's. Restroom is always clean and I dig the live bands on Saturday.“

Top shelf taste and presentation.
The staff was equally as awesome. Our server was Pedro and the manager was Jose.

“The Bend is a super chill bar to go to at anytime of the day. Always very friendly bartenders. Smoking is restricted to the outside, but part of the bar is hybrid (inside/outside). The smokers love to sit there and of course all the smoke blows inside. So, it seems like you can smoke indoors, because you're hit with the smell of smoke immediately when you enter the bar. It's not so bad when the other hybrid doors are open. Karaoke with Toby on Tuesdays and Thursdays is awesome as well!“

“This local pub is in our neighborhood. We went for lunch on my husband's birthday with my in laws and our server Kaitlin was the best! She was patient and informative with my in laws who usually have a lot of menu questions, and the food was excellent and large portions for the price. My husband even got a piece of cheesecake to celebrate! They have live music a few nights a week, and you can rent their very cooly decorated room or tables in the room. Lydia who manages events was very also helpful when I inquired. Great local business, check them out!“

“This place was not that bad in price for how huge the burgers are! BUT as I ordered the chicken fried chicken sandwich the chicken did not have any salt whatsoever. The flavor wasn’t there but it was fried to perfection? The ranch there was so so good and it helped but a little more flavor in it but could be better. The fries are good. The chili just needs more flavor as well. But overall I give it a 8/10 for food and the staff was a 10/10, very sweet!“
