“Worst traveling experience ever! Being stuck in San Antonio airport for a day and I was at my wits end until I came across this restaurant. The lady at the front desk, Laronza greeted us with welcome to beer code!. She had to have read my facial expressions becase as we walked up she was smiling and very cheerful to be working in a airport. There were only a few people ahead of us and she was like a captain or somewhat on a ship. Laronza asked our name and how many and wrote it down. She let us know that she would get us all sat down in a few minutes and went to cleaning tables very quickly. We sat up front near the bar area, the food was great, a bit too warm but this place was very inviting and the food was amazing!“

While the smells from the kitchen were good, the patty was a frozen, charbroiled patty and didn't taste fresh at all. Will go back but will probably avoid any of the burgers.“

They also give you a free salad with a mayonnaise dressing that reminds you of ranch dressing as well. This fried chicken restaurant is about as peak as it could get in San Antonio. Otherwise, you're missing out what fried chicken is supposed to be like. Once you eat here, you'll never go back to your old place for fried chicken ever again, guaranteed.“

“I don’t drink very often or much but my server Star was so amazing, nice and very patient, she gave so many drink recommendations and beautifully described the drink flavors of each one. I told her what flavor I was looking for and to surprise me with a drink and the drink she crafted was mouthwatering. I will definitely keep coming back for more drinks because of her.“

“My go-to burger place for a reliably great burger. Onion rings are so-so, really hit or miss, but the fries are fresh. Ordering is a tight fit, not much room while waiting to order at the register, but it's not that big of a deal. Staff is friendly and helpful, but the last few times I have been there, the person that took our cups for refills, switched them up. One person's diet coke got tea on top and vice-versa.. at least keep the cups straight. Next time I'll get my own refill. Otherwise, a great tasting burger, served quickly. I have never gotten a beer at lunch, but they have a huge selection of bottles and cans in coolers behind the counter.“

Each time I have visited, the staff have been incredibly friendly + welcoming, and the drinks have been fantastic. I absolutely LOVE their seasonal Prickly Pear Margarita. It comes in the cutest little mason jar glass (as pictured), and it's fresh & delicious!! I'm really looking forward to trying some of their food items in the future.

The overall vibe at La Tuna is exactly what you would hope for from a neighborhood icehouse. Whether you're meeting up with friends, watching a San Antonio Spurs game, or just looking for a great place to unwind, La Tuna is absolutely worth a visit. I'll definitely be back!!!“

“Been here 3 times in a weeks time, love that it's never full of drunken people acting ridiculous, music isn't blaring, pool tables are always open, so are the darts, they have a bunch of games and that quarter drop machine, my favorite! They have so seriously cheap beers, happy hour or after, drinks and shots of the day, it's on the bus line and close to my fiance's work! “The Buckhorn Saloon and Museum is definitely a place to visit while you’re in San Antonio!! The amount of animals and artifacts on display are absolutely amazing. I’ll have to try their restaurant the next time I’m there, but overall with it being my first time visiting the Buckhorn I give it a 10/10! 😁“

“We LOVE this cool, local, family-owned one of a kind, San Antonio treasure! So, so, So many choices in beers, ciders, mead, ipas, Lambics, mixed drinks and wine. The drink menu is 10 pages!
On top of the unbelievablely gigantic number of drinks choices the food is excellent. Try the Pork Bao Buns, best I've had since leaving Hawaii, definitely the best I've had in San Antonio. Even the fries are excellent!
In addition to the phenomenal drink selection and creatively tasty food selections, those place has grass atmosphere. They often have fun themed events, like tiki weekends, octoberfest, IPA fests and live music. The building itself reminds we of some of the German beer halls I've been in with its high ceilings and dark wood, while the outside patio are is a great place when the weather is nice or for a large loud group.
I believe the reason this place has some of the best servers with knowledge on everything offered is because it us a private, family owned place. They really want their customers to have the best experience possible and are so friendly and helpful.
