When I find a restaurant that has a menu that intrigues me, I create my own rating experience and order everything. The Beet salad was awesome. The the swordfish was prepared perfectly. I was only in San Antonio for a short time, but this dining experience was memorable.
I'll be back to order the other half of the menu, but I was told it's a seasonal menu, so when I get back, I'm open to trying what ever the chef puts on the menu.“

Let me put it this way, it’s 11:00pm, I’m getting into bed and I’m still thinking of the food at Pam’s Patio Kitchen. The staff was super nice as well. This hidden little gem really left an impression on me! Can’t wait to go back!“

“This was our first time to this eatery when we stopped in for lunch. It is located at the corner of Huebner Rd. and Churchill Estates Blvd. So easy to find and parking was not an issue. We were greeted immediately by a very talkative lady who steered us towards the specials of the day that were posted on the black board at the entrance for $11.99. You go through a buffet type order line with desserts, salads, paninis, pizzas and such. She proceeded to show us the large assortment of pizzas offered, which was a good variety of choices and all looked scrumptious. The salad offerings include tossed, veggie, and pasta variations. Since we had a Groupon, we could not purchase the specials so ordered off of the regular menu. We had the Chicken Piccata ($17), a house salad ($1.99 as add on) and came with bread. It was very much enjoyed with the chicken, spaghetti and sauce just right. The salad was a good side serving and the bread was deliciously warm, buttery and soooo good served with a balsamic and oil dip. We were so overwhelmed we actually forgot to order for the other person. But we shared the meal and made for a nice lite lunch. There were no customers when we arrived for an early lunch but it got steadily busier by the time we left but still plenty of table seating. The place was clean and the décor nice. They have a few tables outside. We will definitely need to return, when in the area, to try the pizza and other offerings.“

“Frank was an awesome server. They catered well to our first experience and my sons 18th. We had steak with Diablo’s shrimp and seared scallops. Shared sides of crusted Brussel sprouts and lobster mash. Dessert was olive oil cake and crème brûlée.“

I haven’t had everything on the menu, but I’m working my way through it and so far every single dish has been nothing short of amazing. My mouth is watering just writing this review. Start off with the chips & salad and add queso. Add the street tacos for your appetizer. Don't forget to order a margarita (you will need a designated driver because you won’t want just 1) and be prepared to taste the best drink you have ever had in San Antonio (don’t forget to upgrade to premium-life’s too short). Indulge in the enchiladas, Fideo, or crispy tacos...You cannot go wrong ordering anything off the menu. La Fonda has a great atmosphere-The manager Bill will come around to greet you and make sure you are enjoying your meal (who does that anymore-it’s a lost art!). “Oh, man! This place is delicious. I try to live a somewhat low carb lifestyle and SoFrio offers some delicious options. I had the pleasure to indulge in their 10oz sirloin topped with garlic roasted mushrooms and a side of asparagus. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. I'm a cook myself so I don't say this lightly. However, when I want to eat clean carbs SoFrio also offers amazing options in that department as well; the Buddha Bowl comes to mind. Wow! It's amazing and lays siege upon your taste buds in an explosion of flavors. It's delicious and the best part? It's light, but not too light to be unfulfilled and not too heavy to leave you unfuctional or lethargic. I also had the pleasure to try the Brussels. I know many people aren't fans of these little cruciferous vegetables, but SoFrio's will change your mind. I couldn't believe they were Brussels. They were roasted superbly with sweet and smokey notes from the cashews that are also an integral ingredient to this tasty side. Yes, SoFrio is located within the Double Tree in downtown San Antonio. “Outstanding service, as always. We have dined at Ruth Chris locations for over 20 years and this locations has to be the best one. Today my wife and I celebrated our 34th anniversary and your staff made this another unforgettable experience.
Sebastian called me to ensure my reservation time and occasion on this special day. He informed me that my arrangement for my wife had arrived and that the flowers would be at our table. He was professional and very courteousness. Prior to our arrival, I called Sebastian to see if we could arrive earlier and he ensured me that whenever we arrived, he and his staff would ensure we were seated when we were ready. Once we arrived I met Sebastian and thanked him for calling and taking my call.
At our table, Doryan was attentive and so polite. He checked on us constantly to ensure we were taken care of. He made our anniversary date so special, since we were seated at our table. He even went above and beyond in congratulating us on our anniversary. I walked to the bathroom and one my way there and back, your entire staff greeted me with a smile and with professionalism.
The dinning manager asked if we were happy and if we had any questions, again professional and courteous.

“My husband called in advance to request a table near the Riverwalk for my birthday. We got the table closest to the river, and they had a it decorated for my birthday as well! The food was absolutely amazing! I had the crab stuffed salmon, and my husband had the pork and gnocchi. My husband lives in Alaska for a few years and ate salmon a lot there. He tried some of my salmon and said that it was some of the best salmon he had ever had. Our server was very helpful in suggesting dishes, quick to check on us when we needed something, and extremely pleasant to speak with. 5/5 in every way!“
