“Postino is such a great place! We loved it and Anthony our server made it all the better, super engaging talkative and took great care of us. The manager Raul came to check on us and was super friendly and helpful. Such a personable gentleman and related to us a lot on different topics. They all made the experience amazing. Food was amazing, but Raul exceeded the expectations.“

“Went to dinner before the Tobin show. New fall menu. The buttternut squash soup was delicious 😋 and served hot. Unfortunately the quinoa harvest salad with roasted beets, butternut squash, pepitas, and goat cheese was only greens…. Minus the other listed ingredients. Our waitress Brook was notified and said the cook staff that made the salad broke up with his girlfriend and sad! 😔 well we were sad and disappointed ☹️ and no compensation offered. The chicken Caesar salad was delicious. 😋 Hopefully no one else will get the same poor quality fall salad ! Beware ! 👻 trick or treat???!!!“

“We have used The Board Couple several times and every single time they exceed our expectations. They are easy to work with, ensure quality of their products, are fully willing to work with you on what you want for your board, I cannot say enough positive things. We have used them for both holidays and game nights and there is always so much wonderful food that it lasts for the entire event. Everything they have put together for us has been stunning and our guests always ask for their information so they can also order from them. They are not only a wonderful business, but also wonderful and kind people. We had an unexpected death in the family and they worked tirelessly to help us reorganize our board delivery and set up with no complaints, they were more worried about us grieving than their time and energy! They were unbelievably sweet and we are so thankful. I can’t recommend them enough, truly, wonderful offerings and wonderful people!“

“The food is interesting, varied, and consistently good, with a rotating menu that keeps things fresh. We have visited twice. During our first visit, the service was good but felt like it was missing a final touch. At this price point, I expected a visit from the sommelier, especially since we were considering purchasing one or two bottles of wine. I was also not asked about any dietary restrictions.
Both times we were seated outside. On the first visit, it was surprising how little effort was made to mask the strip mall setting. On the second visit, the sun was directly in our faces. While that is not entirely the restaurant’s fault, the response was limited to offering an umbrella (which we had to request), and we were told indoor seating was not available.
They were also out of several menu items, which was unexpected given that our reservations were early in the evening. Additionally, this is not a kid-friendly establishment, which is worth noting depending on your plans.
Overall, while the food is good, I am unlikely to return. If I do, it would be for the desserts and the yams, which were excellent.“

“My daughter and I had a great experience there this morning. We ordered a Chai tea and a Cortado. Upon tasting my Cortado, I realized that it was not only the best ever, but that I had to post immediately the wonderful taste and presentation. Not all coffee shops are this great. Shotgun House Rasters is a must visit on the Westside.“

THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME HERE!
From the hostess who greeted us with a rose for my wife to our waiter Sam they went above and beyond to make our anniversary special! The floor manager , the head chef and Sam pampered us with with desert and champagne and we were seated at a special chefs table that was decorated just for us! Greater than all of that was the amazing food! Filet was perfect! Sides were perfect! Evry bite was delicious! Absolutely the greatest dining experience of our lives! We left amazed and feeling very special...feeling like family!

“I recently had lunch at Silo with a friend and her family. It was absolutely delicious. Everyone loved their food...from the chicken fried oysters, to the pecan crusted chicken and the salmon. The duck egg roll appetizer was fabulous as well. Aside from the meal, the service was outstanding, as usual, and the Manager, Scott, even came by to introduce himself and make sure all was well with our table. Between the food, staff and ambiance, Silo continues to be a favorite restaurant of mine, and I get by there as often as I can.“

I always have a good experience when visiting this area to dine.“
“Great location for Drinks and Live Music!“
“This was our first time to this eatery when we stopped in for lunch. It is located at the corner of Huebner Rd. and Churchill Estates Blvd. So easy to find and parking was not an issue. We were greeted immediately by a very talkative lady who steered us towards the specials of the day that were posted on the black board at the entrance for $11.99. You go through a buffet type order line with desserts, salads, paninis, pizzas and such. She proceeded to show us the large assortment of pizzas offered, which was a good variety of choices and all looked scrumptious. The salad offerings include tossed, veggie, and pasta variations. Since we had a Groupon, we could not purchase the specials so ordered off of the regular menu. We had the Chicken Piccata ($17), a house salad ($1.99 as add on) and came with bread. It was very much enjoyed with the chicken, spaghetti and sauce just right. The salad was a good side serving and the bread was deliciously warm, buttery and soooo good served with a balsamic and oil dip. We were so overwhelmed we actually forgot to order for the other person. But we shared the meal and made for a nice lite lunch. There were no customers when we arrived for an early lunch but it got steadily busier by the time we left but still plenty of table seating. The place was clean and the décor nice. They have a few tables outside. We will definitely need to return, when in the area, to try the pizza and other offerings.“

“The Historic Pearl's Food Hall at Bottling, otherwise known as the Bottling Department Food Hall, which includes Park Bar, is an excellent space to grab a drink + take a break from the Texas heat as you are exploring the Pearl! :-) The space is really beautifully curated, and there is lots of seating!! Pearl's Food Hall, generally, is very clean & well-kept, making it all the more inviting!
My first visit to Park Bar occurred on a Monday afternoon (during a holiday) with my boyfriend, and we had no trouble getting a table after placing our drink orders. They have a variety of options at Park Bar (e.g. my boyfriend ordered a lager, and I kept it simple with a fountain soda). I'm looking forward to returning to try some of their cocktails + seasonal offerings!“

“Had an early dinner (5pm) and dined inside on a Tuesday. We wanted to beat any dinner rush that may have shown up. This was my first visit, and with the food they offered, I’d expect they’d have lots of people rushing there for dinner. I had the Pad Thai, which was excellent, but can we talk about their guacamole salad starter?!?! So it’s a bowl of guac with homemade chips and sides of pico (which for me was better than any pico I’d ever had before), a second pico-like concoction made with mango (I was blown away by how delicious it was), and a red salsa (which seemed like a blend of spicy and sweet….so good). Let me put it this way, it’s 11:00pm, I’m getting into bed and I’m still thinking of the food at Pam’s Patio Kitchen. The staff was super nice as well. This hidden little gem really left an impression on me! Can’t wait to go back!“

“First dining experience in San Antonio was right across the street from the hotel, a place called DOUGH….it’s a double entendre of sorts, the founder is a man named Doug Horn, so it’s effectively his first name plus the initial of his last……it’s also an Italian Restaurant, of which dough is a prime staple and fitting for such an establishment….Doug and wife Lori founded this business yearning for an experience to rival those of southern Italy, with the Caprese themed colors of the Italian flag - red, white, and green represented by tomato, mozzarella, and basil….I found my own inspiration in Italy, in fact, as I traveled there several times while stationed in Germany, and found the hanging sausages of the local salumerias absolutely fascinating….it reminded me of my grandparents’ garage growing up, with the European style landjager dried sausages hanging from wall to wall, an artisanship which joined my great great grandpa Wilhelm on his voyage to the New World in 1898….and at some point, it entered my mind that I wanted to bring that slice of Italy back to the United States with me, as did Doug and Lori, and re-create it on some level here in Thorndale…it took nigh a decade, but our dried sausage program is bustling, even including an Italian Caprese flavor in the lineup of over a dozen flavors we continue to perfect every week…..now, as for DOUGH, it is the real deal….the housemade mozzarella is exceptional, and the Caprese dish with ample tomatoes, big leaves of fresh basil, coarse salt and pepper, with a drizzle of olive oil and dabs of balsamic, is a meal unto itself…..then the bruschetta, with marinated cherry tomatoes, chubby cloves of sauteed garlic, and some handmade garlic-parmesan bread, there was really no need to follow up with a pizza, yet we did anyway…..and the pizza was again a rockstar, the crust is just phenomenal, the marinara sauce is not overbearing, just the right amount and it bursts with flavor, ample oregano, garlic, and basil….we couldn’t finish it all, but I assure you it made for an excellent breakfast the next morning…...it’s a bit loud and crowded, but it is the city, after all, so peace and quiet is not the norm…and it’s hard to beat that view, with the almost-full moon dancing around the lit-up Tower of the America’s…..crowded is a tell-tale sign of popularity, and speaking of busy, it’s a long weekend ahead, triple header style caterings Saturday and Sunday, but we got the full BBQ Lineup today and Saturday, doors open at 1030am….GIDDY UP....“

“Oh, man! This place is delicious. I try to live a somewhat low carb lifestyle and SoFrio offers some delicious options. I had the pleasure to indulge in their 10oz sirloin topped with garlic roasted mushrooms and a side of asparagus. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. I'm a cook myself so I don't say this lightly. However, when I want to eat clean carbs SoFrio also offers amazing options in that department as well; the Buddha Bowl comes to mind. Wow! It's amazing and lays siege upon your taste buds in an explosion of flavors. It's delicious and the best part? It's light, but not too light to be unfulfilled and not too heavy to leave you unfuctional or lethargic. I also had the pleasure to try the Brussels. I know many people aren't fans of these little cruciferous vegetables, but SoFrio's will change your mind. I couldn't believe they were Brussels. They were roasted superbly with sweet and smokey notes from the cashews that are also an integral ingredient to this tasty side. Yes, SoFrio is located within the Double Tree in downtown San Antonio. Yes, it's open to the public and I hope more people find this gem of a place. I'm personally looking forward to eating here again. The staff is also ace! Very attentive and friendly. Go to SoFrio!“

“Southtown 101 cool spot at the corner of Peridad and Presa. We stopped by for food and the drinks. There is plenty of parking around the building or off the street. We got there and this sweet car was outside! They did have a screen up and the NBA finals game on. They have plenty of inside and outside seating. But the food hit the spot! Really good flavor and a good amount of options. We ordered crispy chicken sandwich, wings, loaded fries, bacon wrapped jalapeños egg rolls, and friend pickles. Everything on the menu was a hit! Best part was the kitchen was open till 1am. Next up was the bar! They had good drink specials. We had $5 a you call liquor drinks. We had ranch waters and miller lites. Bill was not expensive at all. Staff was great! Bar was clean. After the game ended the party started with Karaoke. My wife and our friends sang and the DJ was cool. He had a good set up and we all had a good time. Karaoke on Thursday at Southtown 101 is where it’s at.“

“They replaced their delicious french bread (a long time staple) with ciabatta bread. I always loved their french bread but the ciabatta is chewy and bland. We didn't even finish the first loaf. This is a definite downgrade to the meal. Not something I will be looking forward to anymore. :(“
