“Postino has quickly become one of our favorite spots to come hangout after work. Cindy, Tommy, Matthew and Isaiah are truly the best and make every time we come in amazing. Definitely suggest getting the chicken skewers and the Brie, prosciutto and fig panini. <3“
“I came here with my family for a birthday lunch. We were a party of 15 and they were able to accommodate us. They don’t take reservations however they did tell us to call ahead so they could prepare a table for us. We got there and the table was ready. Our service experience was a little slow but let me explain why:1. Jay was the only waitress for the entire restaurant2. There were at least six other tables she was serving with at least three/four people3. Jay was also the only cashier4. Jay was also the only food runner5. Jay was also one of the bussersSo we totally understood. Even though Jay was the only one running the entire front of the house by herself, she stayed calm, nice and the most attentive as she could. She did not look overwhelmed or come off as flustered and she took care of me and my family. Give her a raise!! She did the best she could and I strongly believe if she had help her service would’ve been five stars. We made sure to give her a piece of birthday dessert and a good tip to make sure her effort was noticed. Thank you Jay!As far as the food; the food came out very fast, but it was a 6/10. Nothing fancy, but I may be back again to give it another shot.Again please give Jay a raise. She really deserves it!“
“The matradee was outstanding, making us feel welcome and special. The waiter was cheerful, helpful, and accommodating. The music and decor was perfect. The food was prepared to our specifications. Our group had a great time. We were very pleased.Dietary restrictions: They accommodated my sister in laws low salt diet as well as my daughters meal customing requests.Parking: Free valet parking.“
“Excellent meatballs. Highly recommend the meatball appetizer. Pizza crust was very good, a little too thin for my personal liking. Fresh ingredients and 100% handmade. Perfect for atmosphere for a date night setting. Outside was perfect. Prices are a little steep but the food shows it.“
“The gelato here was great! Anytime we vacation we like to have gelato so that we can have the affogato. We all loved what we picked. No complaints at all. It is in a busy shopping area, so you may have to drive around for a parking spot.Parking: Busy shopping area, so you may have to drive around a little to get a spot.“
“Visiting from out of town and after reading the reviews, ordered for delivery. Everything was exactly as I ordered it, delivered fast, and most importantly - the food was hot. I absolutely would order from Maria's again when in San Antonio.“
“I walked in to pick up my carry out. I was promptly greeted with a friendly hello. I got the pappardelle bolognese, my husband got the fettuccine Della casa both small, and split the arancini. Everything was delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The sauce had great flavor. My husband thought the flavors married well and liked the crispiness of the pancetta. We both liked the Arancini. It was crispy the outside and a good cheesy texture on the inside. My only little complaint is that the size of the small was a little too small, but we are both big eaters. I highly recommend this restaurant“
“Great pizza place that we keep coming back to. Tried the spaghetti with meat sauce and WOW! The sauce is awesome. Chicken wings, Stromboli and a Hawaiian pizza rounded out our table of 5. We tried the homemade baklava and tiramisu and they also did not disappoint.“
“First time attending the monthly Wine Dinner Night event. The event was excellent and interactive with raffles and prizes!!! The service was suburb from all staff! Management was so friendly and welcoming, they even stopped by everyone’s table to make sure everyone was having a great time. 100% recommend this dinning experience.“
“Poppy’s Pizza has been one of our faves for a long time! Serving up some the best pizza pie in San Antonio. The place reminds me of an old school pizzeria the way they should be. Simple and priced right. Not looking for frills just good dang pizza! The staff has always been courteous and accommodating. If you are looking for fast food this ain’t it. Good pizza takes time if it’s made fresh so expect a 20 minute wait, it’s well worth it.“
“The family and I love coming here! The amazing chef, Gennaro is INCREDIBLE. Every time, the food is divine. I love the seafood dish I get, and it is always LOADED with the most beautifully cooked seafood. My husband cleans his plate every time he gets the lasagna, getting as much sauce on the fresh bread as he can. My daughter LOVES the pizzas, they are always super cheesy! Akita was the most bubbly and friendly waitress! She made the whole experience an absolute delight! Always phenomenal service and wonderful service! LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!!*******************Who left a piece of Italy in the middle of San Antonio??I am AMAZED! They tried to say they were short waiters tonight, but with the hussle these people had, I did not notice! Checked on without feeling stalked, loved without being molested! The staff was friendly, fast, and super patient! Our food was GREAT! The portions were PERFECT! We started with cheesy garlic bread, and it was wonderful, with so much cheese I wondered if there was even bread under it, until I bit into it for delicious soft bread with a crisp edge...Divine...My husband ordered spaghetti with meatballs, and I had spaghetti with seafood (I could not pronounce it, much less spell it). Our lovely waitress was wonderful and pronounced the dish for me without making me feel like the monolingual fool that I am!The first sniff of this amazing dish flirted seductively with my nose. I pulled muscles and clams from their shells. Huge shrimp dominated my pasta, and fried tendrils of tender calamari patiently waited for attention.Delicious? Delectable? Words that can barely capture the sensual caresses to my tastebuds. My palate was in ecstacy over the delicate spice in the tomato sauce...pure bliss! Then, desert...oh, sweet blessings, the dessert! Generous portions of freshly made cheesecake and tiramisu. Like a voluptuous hug of satiny soft cream in my mouth. My husband, picky as a toddler about his food, actually enjoyed it so much, he complimented the staff. I was in shock, the man has to ADORE his meal to compliment. I should know, 12 years of marriage attests to this.In other words, if you even vaguely enjoy Italian food, YOU NEED TO EAT HERE!!!!“
“Heard about this place from a friend and decided to give it a try. They have a customer for life! The crust is perfect, the cheese to sauce ratio is perfect, and the sizes and combos they offer have something for everyone. I personally get a classic pepperoni in the 10". The perfect amount of pizza just for me!“
“Been eating at Aldo's for years and realized I'd never done a write-up. Once again, a wonderful experience. I usually recommend the Osso Buco. This time, our party of five on a Thursday, enjoyed Scampi Colina, Cristina Pizza, a couple Pollo dishes, and Linguine Alle Vongole. Service was excellent as usual. We have never had a bad meal/experience here. They also have a nice selection of wines and desserts which should satisfy a variety of tastes.Dietary restrictions: They do a nice job of addressing dietary issues and make good recommendations for alternate choices.“
“My family has been dining at Ezio's restaurants for over 20 years, and I can honestly say we've never had a bad meal. The service is impeccable, the place is immaculate, and the food is divine. Ezio Rosa is a master chef, and it shows in every one of his dishes.Vegetarian options: A few dishes.Parking: Plenty of free parkingWheelchair accessibility: Easy to get in and out of.“
“We had come here while on our mini vacation with the kids..the food is definitely pricey and taste wise ok..Wish they had more kid friendly options too.We had ordered the shrimp rigatoni, cheese wheel pasta and their butternut squash ravioli..as I said the taste was ok! But the service was great!“
“Their food is amazing, especially considering they occupy a small space near where I live. My Wife is a professional chef, and she noted that their salad dressings tastes like they were made in the kitchen. I recommend the pizza, but really, everything is great and everything comes in very large portions. Sofia's is easily our Plan A if we want to order Italian food.“
“We had been here a couples times, brought family and everything because the food and vibe. THIS TIME- we tried the Italian nachos and WOW they are a game changer. Our server Jon was great and had some wonderful suggestions on our pizza and he was right adding Italian sausage was really good! Love this “
“Try the Italian food here. We had the chicken piccata and wife had the lasagna. Friends had the two specials, see pics. The service was fast, a good atmosphere with some great Italian music by Frank and Dino and the food was delicious and served hot. We loved it all!“
“Amazing pizza... just a hop skip and jump off the river! Very nice family friendly atmosphere! Nice place to get away from the river walk hustle and bustle! We come down to San Antonio several times a year and this little place will go into our rotation! Great staff and great food!Kid-friendliness: Yes, kid friendly“
“Good food! I had the lasagna. Unfortunately it didn't have alot of flavor. I did like it but expected more of tangy flavor in the sauce. Oh the bread and oil were delicious!!Kid-friendliness: I'm sure they are accommodating to children There were t any when I went. It felt more of an adult restaurant!“
“Amazing pizza! Everything blends together very well and the sauce is super tasty! I usually don’t like tomato sauce but this one was really good. It’s also right next to Refuge which should be opening soon. Really looking forward to having this pizza with a beer!“
“If you're looking for something other than Tex Mex on the river walk, would highly recommend Fiume! Pizza was delicious as well as their Caesar salad. Service was great and the food came out quick! Would definitely come back here again but would prefer to sit out on the patio!“
“I openly express my dislike for Italian cuisine when dining out with friends and family. Despite enjoying pasta, I've found myself consistently disappointed with Italian renditions, often characterized by heavy tomato-based sauces lacking homemade flavor. Therefore usually not ordering any of the pasta and being sad that the other dishes did not delight. However, Battalion in San Antonio challenged my preconceptions entirely.Entering Battalion, I was struck by the elegant yet modern decor, which exuded sophistication while maintaining a welcoming ambiance, complete with indoor and al fresco seating options. The food at Battalion was a revelation. The Bread Service was a delightful start, with each spread offering a unique experience, notably the Whipped Ricotta, which of the three options stole the spotlight. The Burrata, Beef Tartare, and Spinach Dumplings left me speechless, showcasing flavors unforeseen or tasted. Even though I initially scoffed at the idea of ordering Chicken Parmesan, Battalion proved me wrong with a rendition that surpassed all expectations. However, the true star was the Pepper Crusted Drunken Pork Chop, a dish seemingly unconventional for Italian cuisine (right? Or is this really an Italian thing), regardless it was executed flawlessly. I have no words and I do believe words would completely fail to capture this dish’s excellence; it's simply a must-try … seriously you must try it.Despite not being one for repeat visits, I’d be willing to try Battalion again as The Tartar, Spinach Dumplings, and Pork Chop are undeniable highlights, but I'm eager to explore more of their menu. So …To Battalion: Let's collaborate on a "What We Ate" review video. @Colefamilyvalues and @minamakesofficial would be totally on board for a fun collab!“
“The ricotta with balsamic appetizer with the flatbread was to die for. What we loved about this place was the freshness of every single ingredient!!!!! We also had the best waitress who was so kind and made us feel so welcome. If we are ever in San Antonio again we will DEFINITELY be coming back here.“
“This place is great. Fun people who are friendly. The pizza is properly made in their oven. Crispy crust, not soggy on top. And two huge slices and a fountain drink for $10 is hard to beat. I'm only knocking the atmosphere because it's in the mall. Other wise this place is a must stop 9/10“
“I enjoy the very generous portions. Ricotta and blackberry was smooth, creamy, and mild. It didn’t overpower. I was able to mix two flavors together. The environment is exactly what I would expect in Southtown. It’s small and independent.“
“Was lucky enough for them to come to our offices today. I'd heard good things; all were true! The food is excellent, and they don't play around with serving size, you'll have plenty for later. I had the Bob and Timmy 's Pasta with chicken, gouda, mushrooms and tomatoes it's out of this world. Of course I had to try the pizza rolls; just yes.I look forward to more of their visits!“
“Wow is all I have to say. The food never disappoints. Our waitress was AWESOME. The reason for the 4 star instead of 5 was because of the hostist. You walk into pure attitude and a rude face. It was only Tuesday. Just really disappointing to walk into. The food is always 100%“
“We came here for the first time on a random Saturday night, it is kind of small but super cozy. Enough room for about 15 tables or so. They do have reservations quite a lot, assuming it is Valentine's Day weekend - so I would reserve a table for the weekends anyways. It was great service by the staff, dim enough but not too dark, and not loud at all. They do have outdoor seating available as well and I thought it was super cute. We ordered chicken Parmesan and a primavera pasta. Complimentary bread rolls were SO FRESH I regret not taking a picture and the pictures taken of the food don't even compare to the taste. It is so authentic and not your regular Olive Garden, it was so flavorful and I'm a picky Italian food eater! The pastas were devoured and so perfect, along with the tiramisu! Props to the chefs and waiters, 10/10! I will be coming again!!“
“We were in town for our 20th Anniversary and noticed the reviews were great for Scuzzi's, so we made a reservation. They had a little personalized Happy Anniversary sign setup on the table, and our server, Mona, gave us some time to look over the menu. We had the Fried Ravioli appetizer, a small salad, the Italian soup, and warm house bread before our meal. Everything was delicious! We visited with our little one, and they brought out her Kid's cheese pizza so she could eat. She ate over half of it and gave it a thumbs up, my wife had the Fettuccini Alfredo, and I had the Lasagna. Every bite was incredible! For dessert they brought us a little cannoli with Congrats written in cocoa, along with a sparkler - which was probably our kiddo's favorite thing ever! We really had no room for dessert, but we also had to try the Limoncello Sponge Cake and it did not disappoint! Thanks to Scuzzi's for a memorable meal to celebrate our anniversary, and we hope to be back when we visit San Antonio again.“
“Had an incredible experience at this gem of a pizzeria! I love supporting my local community especially when it’s family owned and operated! The owner (Jefferson) was so instrumental in helping me pick out the perfect pizzas based on what I liked. His kindness and passion for his business was refreshing and inspiring to witness . I ended up ordering The Al Pastor & The Texas BBQ pizza. Both were filled with amazing flavor that left you wanting more!!! The crust alone added insane flavor to every bite!Again, the pizza was AMAZING! I highly suggest checking this pizzeria out! Especially if you’re looking to try a whole new twist on Pizza!!!“
“We moved in down the street from the cute area in Beacon Hill and finally were able to try out this gem. My kids loved it and so did my husband and I. We went during happy and were very satisfied with the portions of everything. I loved that the jalapeños had a kick to them. Highly recommend! Oh and get the truffle fries!“
“By far the most delicious pizza I have ever tried in San Antonio I had me the pepperoni Italian sausage with mushrooms and green bell peppers so awesome and cheesy These guys are one a kind I will sure be going back omg my mouth couldn't resist every bite keep It up Mattengas!!!!!!?????????“
“We had a company luncheon today and the food was delicious! They had everything ready right on time and the order was perfect with no mistakes. We had pizza, lasagna, chicken alfredo, salad, mozzarella sticks, and cheese cake and everything was delicious! Thank you Main Street Pizza & Pasta for great food and great customer service!!!!!!!“
“Great find and a much needed break from the usual. There is a ton of parking. Atmosphere is modern but smart. There is about an equal divide between indoor and outdoor seating, along with a handful of bar seats. Wine menu has several wines rated 90+ points by Wine Spectator. The wine and cocktail menus is focused but more than adequate. Wifey and I are usually winos, but we opted for their speciality cocktails--delicious. Apps were fantastic: burrata, bread, and calamari. She had a seafood pasta dish and I ravioli with short rib meat. Service is excellent. The only negative is the noise level: it's just too damned loud. This can easily improve with sound absorption so that patrons can speak easily.“
“My husband and I had our first date there 7 years ago. We just got married and I had been wanting to take him back. Last night we finally had our first date night and it was so perfect! We had calamari and shrimp Pompeii for appetizers and I had fettuccine Alfredo and my husband had pepperoni pizza. Everything was so delicious! Our waitress was really nice and we had so much fun! Thank you for making our date night so amazing! We will be back again.“
“Great evening at Umberto's celebrating my son's birthday! After a rough start to the evening with a big let down by another Italian restaurant up the road, we ended up at Umberto's for the first time. Lovely staff and awesome food! Great service from Leo!!“
“The restaurant is very cozy and the sandwiches are great! I was also pleasantly surprised at how friendly the staff was. Everyone was smiling and looked like they were having a great time, even during the lunch rush. The young lady at the counter was exceptionally kind!Highly recommend, I will be returning. Will try their desserts next time!“
“Wife had pan seared scallops. I had blacked tuna. Both were absolutely delicious. Had the Ammaretto Creme Brule for dessert. It was great. The service was amazing. Not just the waiter but many other staff coming by to ask if anything was needed. Price was quite reasonable. It was our first time there. Overall, it was an amazing experience.“
“Tuna appetizer was tasty but little ponzu sauce but with fresh basil and tomatoes which gave good flavor! However the marsala appeared to be cooked with sugar and was awful. I asked to send it back and they lectured me that they could give me picatta which is "less" sweet. They failed to bring out the chef despite multiple attempts, instead I got lectured by the wait staff. Would not recommend as fine dining for italian.“
“Our friends made reservations, but we’d never been. OMG, the food was fabulous. Everyone tried a different dish. I had the chicken francese , it was the best in town! Very few tables( make a reservation or you’ll be out of luck.)We found our “go to”Italian place! Friendly staff ,quiet ambiance, and dinner fit for a king.Don’t miss this little treasure!“
“Been checking this place out for a few weeks. I went in tonight cause I left my dinner at home on the counter, and they just gave me a pizza that another customer called paid for and then decided they didnt want it. So I took it, never had their pizza before, its pretty dang good. Im not even a fan of NY style pizza, im from Buffalo, so Neapolitan is my preferred. Guys at work who i shared it with liked it as well. Would and do reccomend“
“Simple and delicious. I had the supreme pizza with fresh quality toppings. The pizza was filling yet you don't get the bloated feeling. It had a hint of spice and tomato sauce. The staff was polite and efficient. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and cozy.“
“My family and I had dinner here and the food was fantastic. My husband enjoyed his pizza, my girls got fettuccine Alfredo, and I had the cheese ravioli. Mine came with a salad. The portions were great. In fact I didn’t finish my plate as it was such a generous serving. Highly recommend and we will definitely be going back.Kid-friendliness: For a Saturday the restaurant was quiet and I felt comfortable taking my little one here. They have kid meals.“

“Excellent visit. Ordered and sat through a wait for the food but it was good and plentiful. I had the Lasagna and it was piping hot and good sized. The pizza was loaded and smelled great that my grandkids were enjoying. The salads were oversized and full of ingredients. Overall a good experience.“
“Pizza didn't take too long and it was one of the best I've ever had. I ordered bacon and extra cheese and the cheese drips like in cartoons and the crust is really good. One of the employees also gave us all free Gelato. My friends who tried the Ray's supreme didn't really like the toppings though and the tables were a little sticky.“
“Their margarita pizza is hands down their best menu item, get the largest size because trust me, you’ll eat right through it ?However, the red sauce they use for their lasagna (etc) is consistently very bland/barely seasoned and rather watery, I really dislike it. And the indoor seating/decor leave much to be desired.“
“The food is truly deserving of a 5 Star rating! It’s delicious. What I didn’t like is the pastas have little sauce, but that didn’t take away from me knowing how good they were. It’s just that more is needed, but I wouldn’t call the pastas dry. The Chicken Picatta was so amazing and the best dish! The capers were so delicious and large. The flavor was a lemon butter. I absolutely loved it and know everyone else will. It wasn’t bitter. It was just right, perfect! The chicken was soft and had no fat in it. The shrimp exquisite. The shrimp were on the Lemon Shrimp Pasta. It needed more lemon flavor and more sauce. It tasted more like olive oil and Parmesan cheese than lemon. However, the Chicken Picatta was exquisite and had all the lemon flavor you would want in a dish. It was yummy. I can’t wait to revisit again and take my whole family. Also, the pizza was delicious. I enjoyed it for Valentine’s Day! It had all the veggies for 25. They just forgot to put jalapeños even though I asked them to put jalapeños and skip out only on Anchovies. That was a bummer, but the flavor was definitely there, and I recommend it.“
“This is a homestyle Italian food restaurant with a sophisticated setting. Not part of any chain (which is what we prefer), the food is delicious enough to make any Grandma proud. The service is first rate. Our server worked hard to make sure we were well taken care of.Overall, we had a great time, and we'll definitely be going back.“
