“Huisache Grill is a charming restaurant tucked off the main road. The building is a beautiful repurposed vintage structure along the railroad tracks. From appetizer to dessert, the food was absolutely delicious! The service was prompt, not pushy, and each course was timed perfectly. Even though we arrived later in the evening, we didn't feel rushed in the least. I would rate everything about the Huisache Grill a 15 on a scale from one to ten! Oh! The fried brie is to die for!! ??“
“Very good german food and beer (there are no hamburgers). we had the Schnitzel with two different sauces (mushroom and sour cream) and really liked it! A little hard to find but once you get to the parking lot, it's the white building at the front“
“I went here only to pick up cheese. I can’t eat cow dairy and the owner was so helpful to let me try the sheep options and to find me exactly what I needed to make my homemade pizza a success. Good customer service like this is hard to find. She was patient and kind. Highly recommend this little shop. Can’t speak on the restaurant part since I didn’t eat there.“
“MyPOV-A very beautiful and unique house that is quietly tucked in, that serves a wide variety of wine and bier. The atmosphere is fun yet relaxing. I do wish they had more food options aside from just cheese, but don't let that stop you from enjoying the small wonders of this place. Just eat before you go yo!!!!! Highly recommend trying this place out!!;)“
“Beautiful historic restaurants are the weird that don't even do the establishment any justice due to its awesome service by the servers/waiting staff, excellent tasting culinary dishes from a unique menu.Thank you, Raul for a great time and the service.“
“On Saturday we randomly stopped in with our neighbors and I am so glad we did! DONT ASSUME IT IS JUST WINE like we always did. They made us craft cocktails at the bar and it was wonderful. Chloe and Laney were both charismatic. They made us all different drinks for our preferences. A really nice spot, we will come back again soon!“
“Always an enjoyable stop in Gruene. Great selection of wines and beers to choose from. The outside seating area is very spacious. The flights of beer and wine samples are a great way to taste different options. Excellent customer service even when they are busy.“
“The absolute best scallops I've ever had! The filet and shrimp were excellent, as well. Definitely order the Myron's butter when there's a choice. Watch your food, though! The guy clearing tables was a bit conscientious and took our salad away before we were finished eating. LOL The only suggestion I would make is maybe serve a bread basket or at least a seasoned butter. Regardless, we will be back!!“
“What a pleasant surprise ! I didn't know this great little spot existed in Gruene! We went during the week - so missed brunch. So will def be back to try that!!Our waitress was a delight (for the life of me I can't remember her name :( )I had the fully loaded bloody Mary of deliciousness ?And some Deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes --- all soooo good.My family all had different fried chicken delights and all loved their meals.I highly recommend The Birdhouse for families, lunch dates, friends brunches....any gathering where your seeking a wholesome comfort yummy meal.(Only thing we didn't like - corn bread. Not to our personal taste )“
“Family owned and operated restaurant bringing authentic Mexican food to New Braunfels. Everything on the menu is amazing, my favorite dish is whatever Oscar recommends. We visit weekly and enjoy every culinary experience. Recommend the Thursday evening cooking class.“
