“We had lunch today on the porch! LED off with Fried Oyster appetizer! Spicy Crunchy Trout with Broccoli and roasted potatoes and a really nice side salad. My wife had the Three Seafood Salad with Salmon and Shrimp. I know there was another seafood item but she can’t remember. But the waitress was so professional and in these days…she was so good! I wish we’d gotten the Fried Brie appetizer! A little hard to Locate back in behind the other shops but they were also fun! Very good bread as well!!!!”

“My first visit was impressive. Mahi Mahi Boudreaux was on point. The crawfish cream sauce was very tasty. I was not pleased with spices in dirty rice. The boldness did not pair well with sauce. Lobster bisque nicely done with a mildly spicy kick. The ‘Post Master’ (Hurricane) was a bit tart to my liking. Beautiful decor with a history stretching back to 1915 when the building was the New Braunfels post office. McAdoo’s could be a monthly repeat soon. Stuffed flounder on my mind.”

“My family has always loved The Reel and eat there often. We received a favor gift card after our 2nd child and decided to use it to have dinner delivered by Favor from The Reel. I was very disappointed in my stuffed flounder. There was no Avocado, cherry tomatoes or lump crab on it and it seemed more like the lunch portion than the $39.20 dinner portion I usually get. lesson learned I guess as I feel this is on The Reel and not our Favor driver.”

“Only two people working today. There's no brisket on my brisket junior it's a hamburger patty. And I know that they do serve brisket at burger king because they serve it at a different burger king and it was delicious. And if they're out of the brisket they should say so and offer something else instead of just making you something else! Why isn't the manager that's supposed to be on duty here helping these poor people out? I'm late for my appointment with dialysis now and have to reschedule because of it 25 minutes to get our food. First we waited in the Drive-Thru and backed up and went inside the store because the drive-thru didn't move for at least 10 minutes or so before we gave up and went inside. People that are here working trying to keep up. It's the fault of the people who called in and the phone in the manager for not being here of course that's just my opinion... One star.. go to the burger king on 306 they serve the best food...

“My favorite McDonald’s to visit. I get breakfast here more often than I should. Never had an incorrect order, staff is friendly, I wish all McDonald’s had service like this one.”

“The food is on point and what you should expect from McDonald's. My only real complaint is they only have kiosk to place your order. If you wait long enough someone will take your order but there is no menu for you to look at, unless you go to a self ordering kiosk. Owner is very nice and they sometimes have free drink samples. I've seen some people walk out when they realize it's kiosk only.”

“Eh. It's on my way to work.. this location has been remodeled and has been here a LONG time (lifelong Newbraunfelser). I'm impressed with the cleanliness, given the age of the place. Service is consistent. Food quality varies. I'll still go because sometimes I want a patty melt and the location is sometimes convenient for me.”

Food was good however the menu needs improvements. The descriptions were very vague and it didnt seem like a menu for a mexican restaurant.. And I have never been to a mexican restaurant that doesnt serve chips and salsa.”

“We had lunch yesterday ( Fathers Day ) at Root Cellar. Upon arrival we were told that it was about a 50 minute wait. I saw several open tables inside that needed to be cleaned off plus 3 open tables outside that needed to be cleaned but there was a 50 minute wait???? This was the first time visiting for my wife & I but not for our kids. The waiter came & took our drink order at which time I told him I wanted ice tea & I wanted my glass full of ice none of this 1/3 or 1/4 full. Well the waiter wasn't listening or paying attention I got a glass of ice tea with little ice. When he came back to refill my tea glass I reminded him that I wanted a full glass of ice, he began to lecture how a full glass of ice was going to water down my tea. Dude, don't lecture me, this old man been around the sun a few more times than you. The waiter took our order of food which turned out to be mostly sandwiches. The menu stated that each sandwich came with kettle chips & then there were sides that you could add if you wanted, I ordered a side mac & cheese to which I got a lecture from the waiter. When we got our food instead kettle chips we got kettle chip pieces, what was left in the bottom of the bag everyone else already the chips so we got the crushed chips from the bottom of the bag. Come on Root Cellar I think you can do better than that.”

My husband having lived in Egypt for a period of time was a bit hesitant to try this food because he didn't want to be disappointed, but this is real authentic Egyptian food! The price is a steal for the portion and we were literally salivating on the drive home smelling this. The owner is the nicest guy too so that's a plus. We will be visiting weekly. Thank you! ❤️”

I highly recommend Art House Cakery for anyone looking for that extra attention to detail, special dietary options and/or professionalism that some big box/chain stores are lacking. This will be our go-to bakery for all of our future celebrations.”

Menu was incredibly easy to understand, so you know exactly what you’re getting which is great. Secondly, we came with a group of almost 10 people and my food was prepared in less than 19 minutes. “Today, my husband and I decided to get lunch at Las Palapas at Creekside in New Braunfels, on our way to Home Depot. We were greeted quickly. We were seated in Brooklyn's section. The food was hot, drinks were cold. Food arrived quickly. We had the Enchilada verdes plate and the super bowl, with a coupon for the mama ruth flauta plate. They were good, the shredded chicken was over salted but still edible. Our server, Brook, came to take our order quickly, when we ordered we asked for our drinks with no ice. She brought out mine correctly but my husbands had a full a glass of ice. She took it back and fixed it. While we were eating, she checked on us once after bringing out our food. When we asked for our bill, we asked for the military discount. When she brought out our bill, we handed her the gift card we had along with 20.00 cash to make up the difference. When she returned she brought out two 5 dollar bills. our change was supposed to be: $10.55. When we noticed it, we asked the other waitress in the area to ask her to come back to our table. When she was called to the table for us to explain about it the other waitress in the section was still there. When Brooke was told about the fact that we wanted the 55 cents, she took an attitude about us wanting our 55 cents. Saying: they want the 55 cents? while she was standing right in front of us. We should have called the manager at that moment. The way I feel is that she took the 55 cents. She should have given us the entire amount of change per our receipt, allowing us to choose tell her to keep it. As it was we were going to give her an 11.00 tip, once we discovered the change returned to us was not correct and she displayed an attitude, we changed the amount of tip to 1.55. We have talked to the manager about this issue as well. I used to work waiting on tables, I always give good tips, and I know the work is hard and sometimes you get bad customers, however: NEVER did I not give back the full change on the receipt. In my book that would have been considered stealing from the customer.”

“We used 2tarts for our wedding desserts and it was amazing. They were not only delicious, they made our cake tasting a special event. We worked with Erin, and she was so charming. Everyone truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, and the tasting is a precious memory for me now. The actual cake was beautifully done, on-time, and tasted delicious. We had nothing but positive feedback from our guests, and many people even took selfies with the dessert table! It looked that good. Me and my husband (woo!) had a slice of the blackberry cake which was possibly the best cake I've ever had, but our "anniversary" layer, which we ate the next day, was pistachio, and that was incredibly delicious. We got a four-tier cake with different flavored layers, and individual apple pies and slices of gluten-free, vegan cake. The options were so great we almost didn't know what to pick, but we were so happy with the end result! If you are in the area and looking for your wedding cake and desserts, 2tarts is the right answer!”

“We visited Naegelin's today while we were in New Braunfels. I used to live in NB (1959 to 1990) and grew up on their pastries. My brother was a baker their in 1960 and 1961, so there was always Naegelin's pastries to eat. Bear Claws were my absolute favorite. After 30 years, I couldn't wait! I ordered Bear Claws and 2 strudles, apple and cherry. I should have waited! The strudel was pretty good. the Bear Claws were very very disappointing. they lacked flavor and filling. The pastery used to be light and flakey. Not any longer, more like flat and tough. I hate to use the word "cardboard", but that kinda fits. Go for the Strudel, forget the Bear Claws. Childhood memories shattered again.”

Betty Lou Coffee Company is located on Landa Street close to Das Rec and I plan to go by and pick up a cup whenever I am in that area of NB.”
