“We stopped in yesterday after a long day of fun. My young daughter excitedly picked up her waffle bowl to go sit outside, but accidentally dropped it. Of course, there were tears as she was so disappointed. I reassured her that we’d just buy another one.

With the help of another kind customer who grabbed us some napkins, we cleaned everything up and got back in line. The gentleman working must have noticed her crying because he immediately asked what we needed. When I explained, he was so sympathetic and quickly remade her waffle bowl on the house.

It was such a small gesture, but it turned our day around and got us right back to enjoying time together as a family. It’s little moments like that that make a place feel like part of the community rather than just another business. His kindness and genuine care are exactly what keep people coming back. “Wow, what a difference compared to Dairy Queen! My wife and I like to take our two and one half year old grandbaby to get ice cream when we babysit. This is generally in the evening. We have been going to the Dairy Queen on Elliot Knox because the other location is so rude and doesnt need our business! Every time we go to this location on Elliot Knox, even though its still a couple hours from closing, they have the bucket with the bleach water out on the floor mopping, trying to get a head start on their closing tasks. Well, it is obnoxious trying to eat with the strong smell of cleaning chemicals. If it was a one off, I would ignore it, but it seems to be the case every time! This time we tried Baskin Robbins, and boy what a difference! The place seemed imaculate, yet there is no hint of cleaning products being used while they are serving customers. And of course all the choices of ice cream! The only minor complaint, and I will still go back, is that tip thing when you pay with a credit card!!!! Why should I tip someone who simply hands a cone over the counter to me? Its not like it's table service! I hate that, and can't help but wonder if they will short you in the future on the size of your cone, if they remember you chose not to tip!!! If they change that I will bump the stars up to five!!!!“
