“Short wait at lunch time.
We had a BLT, loved the fried green tomato twist, but the bacon was over done and the bread was a little soggy.
Turkey dinner was great and southwest tacos were good.
Our server Jennifer C was friendly and efficient.
The staff was mostly awesome, could have done without listening to host bad mouthing fellow employees and other guests while waiting for our table.“

“We had lunch today on the porch! LED off with Fried Oyster appetizer! Spicy Crunchy Trout with Broccoli and roasted potatoes and a really nice side salad. My wife had the Three Seafood Salad with Salmon and Shrimp. I know there was another seafood item but she can’t remember. But the waitress was so professional and in these days…she was so good! I wish we’d gotten the Fried Brie appetizer! A little hard to Locate back in behind the other shops but they were also fun! Very good bread as well!!!!“

“First time here and it is delicious! I had a regular breakfast, didn’t get fancy, eggs, potatoes, bacon and one pancake! Coffee is so delicious! I will definitely come back when I’m back here to New Brunfels!! My waitress, Miranda is very nice and cheerful and checked back several times to see if I needed anything! Lots of coffee!“

“Our server was Amazing, hands down she immediate identified the simplest things, by identifying what our concerns were on the menu from ingredients to portion size.
Your options for seating is simple indoors with ceiling fans or outdoors under country/farm style shade, with fans and misters. It sits right over the river with exceptional views. Thier restrooms are country/farm style, depending on which restrooms you use.
This was our third visit because we enjoy the atmosphere. The near by shops are authentic and not so commercial like other locations.“

“We had lunch yesterday ( Fathers Day ) at Root Cellar. Upon arrival we were told that it was about a 50 minute wait. I saw several open tables inside that needed to be cleaned off plus 3 open tables outside that needed to be cleaned but there was a 50 minute wait???? This was the first time visiting for my wife & I but not for our kids. The waiter came & took our drink order at which time I told him I wanted ice tea & I wanted my glass full of ice none of this 1/3 or 1/4 full. Well the waiter wasn't listening or paying attention I got a glass of ice tea with little ice. When he came back to refill my tea glass I reminded him that I wanted a full glass of ice, he began to lecture how a full glass of ice was going to water down my tea. Dude, don't lecture me, this old man been around the sun a few more times than you. The waiter took our order of food which turned out to be mostly sandwiches. The menu stated that each sandwich came with kettle chips & then there were sides that you could add if you wanted, I ordered a side mac & cheese to which I got a lecture from the waiter. When we got our food instead kettle chips we got kettle chip pieces, what was left in the bottom of the bag everyone else already the chips so we got the crushed chips from the bottom of the bag. Come on Root Cellar I think you can do better than that.“

“We celebrated a gender reveal dinner here the other night and had Angel as our server and she made sure we had a great time! The food was really tasty and the service was excellent! We will definitely be back!“

“Cannot believe we haven’t stopped in sooner. This hidden gem has a wonderful family run vibe. Casual place, and outstanding food and wonderful service. Can’t go wrong with the melts and they have a “shot of the day” which was corn when we stopped in. Everything tasted great. Ingredients tasted fresh and their chili was a wonderful option on a cool day. They are open early with breakfast tacos and breakfast options as well! Can’t wait to go back!“

“The atmosphere there is so home like. Amazing staff and awesome food. We ordered a small onion rings and it looked like a large. My son got the catfish and I got the chicken fried chicken. Omg this is the best home cooked food . We will be returning.“

“We got there at 10 minutes to the kitchen closing but they welcomed us in and the food was great. A really good band on the outside stage was rocking Stevie Ray Vaughn and inside the large screen TV's had sports AND a trivia game you could participate in. I'm not into sports so the trivia was fun. During the day there is a play area for kids with a nice sized slide and playset.Really a cool place and reasonably priced.“

“What a wonderful find! My wife and I stumbled across this place on our trip to San Antonio. The striking design of the building caught our eye from the road, and the interior is just as unique and beautiful. The owner, Jen, is an absolute star. She was gave us the best bar experience of our entire trip. Her homemade margarita recipe was amazing! Everything was perfect and we will definitely be back. Cozy, inviting and an absolute must. “From my personal experience being at float in 10/10 loved it!! and will be coming here all the time it’s a very relaxing and enjoyable place to visit such a great atmosphere. if you are coming from a far away place, if you are wanting to float at a river and want to have a great tubing experience out with friends or with family I very much recommend it here for you!! come and have a blast at float in I have heard great things of float in and people always leave with a joyful smile 😇 they also have a bar and restaurant called the shrimp house Tried their patty melt 10/10 did not disappoint loved it was so delicious 😌will be going back for another one“

“Just tried this place and man those wings slap! My bf had these blueberry wings, weird combination but dam those wings were so good! Sweet and savory. I had the lemon pepper bc its my favorite flavor. They were so crispy and seasoned very well. The waitress Zoe shout out to her, she did her job too, beyond nice and attentive. Definitely want to come back again“

“Was so hopeful, but the pizza was disappointing. My carry out oder of "The Big One" was a disaster. I wish I could have attached a photo. The pizza did not look anything like the photo. Crust was flat and without rise. No red onions present, kalamata olives were replaced with canned black olives, and is that fresh basil on the pizza in the photo? Unfortunate and very regretable.“
