“My family and I decided to go here randomly because we wanted to sit down and eat somewhere we haven’t before. Host was a super nice man, I could tell he was very busy but was still friendly with us. Our server was also really sweet and accommodated us well. The food was absolutely fantastic. My husband says it’s the best chef salad that he’s ever had, and my food was very delicious too. I got the french toast breakfast and the serving sizes were perfect. The owners came over and chatted with us for a little bit and was playing around with our toddler who loved all the attention. Everyone was all around super nice, so lovely and made us all feel really comfortable! Already recommending this place to family and friends, will 100% come eat here again!“
“Food is better than good. Not great but I was satisfied and not disappointed. Service is great. We were escorted to available table right away. It was not crowded but a lot of diners for Sunday lunch around 1:30p. And we didnt wait long for our server. Older gentleman but very attentive and well verse about the menu. Food took a little longer to be serve not a big deal but its a bistro and our server explained ahead of time. Not complaining just observed a group of 2 couples on the bar way too loud most probably drunk too fast or drinking for awhile and its a smaller place and we were seated 2 tables away from them. I can only imagine the family seated beside them. Over all? We will come back.“
“First date night here in New Braunfels and this was a great spot! It was romantic, yet casual. The food was great, not life changing, but still. The shrimp cakes appetizer stole the show. I will definitely be back for those. Only thing I didn't like, is they don't offer drink specials inside. It's only outside. So you can get up, go outside and get the drink special, and bring it back to your table. Like why not just offer the specials inside too? Odd, but not enough to deter me from coming back. Try this place at least once!“
“Update - the Flash Fried Spinach was so oily and over fried that I could not eat it. My husband ate it and had an upset stomach afterwards.The flash fried spinach is good, just wish they would use organic spinach. Both the flash fried spinach and spinach salad leaves a film on your palette.“

The food was incredible, offering classic French dishes, Japanese-fusion and divine steaks!Our waiter (Randolph) was incredible, very attentive and yet left us to simply enjoy ourselves as long as we wanted. A massive improvement from having been asked to leave after an hour and a half at other places! My husband and I got to enjoy true quality time together, talking about the next steps in our lives over a simply curated yet expertly crafted menu.Randolph purposely spaced out the different dishes we ordered so as not to overwhelm us with too many flavors at once. This wasn’t a brag, but a necessity! I’m telling you, every dish was insanely unique and well thought out! I’ve not had anything like it!Cody’s takes the top of my list for best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to come back and try everything Cody’s has to offer. Take advantage of this experience before they raise the prices! They are well worth it!Vegetarian options: Kabocha squash is mentioned thrice on the menu, as an appetizer, a salad and its own dish. “Was out in new Braunfels for an event and was looking for a breakfast spot. We had to order take out because we were short on time. This place popped up in my search and had decent reviews so we gave it a try. The chicken and waffle was good and I was kinda skeptical on eggs but they tasted good. The potatoes were good as well. We got there before there was a crowd so it took about 15-20 mins to get food. Crowd started to show up as we were leaving. Everyone was friendly that worked here.“
“We were in the mood for wings and this restaurant didn’t miss the spot. We had the bbq, Parmesan and garlic. They were crispy just the way I love them. The flavors were great. Restaurant was clean and friendly staff. It’s hard to find crispy wings and the insides were tender and moist. Definitely recommend this small business. We will be returning.“
“Hands down best pizza I’ve ever had! We took our 3 kids and ordered a large Mediterranean and two orders of pizza chips, and a half wedge salad. O.M.G Delicious!!! My best description of the quality and flavor would be the Pappadeaux of pizza!! We will literally never order pizza or Italian from any where else local. “Recently camped River Road and didn't get camp setup until after dark. We stopped at Koozies for drinks and a bite to eat just before close. Rather them be annoyed by our late show, they were more then accommodating. Amanda and their staff were nothing less then amazing while being hospitable at the same time. I cannot recommend this little spot enough. We will be frequenting this place every time we come back to River Road to camp. Thank you all again for a great experience!“

“Our server, Isabella, was courteous and professional. The restaurant was spotless, including the restrooms. My wife's steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned for her taste. Mine was perfectly cooked, but as I'm not a fan of much salt or pepper, my steak was a bit overly seasoned. That was on me since I didn't inform them. The crispy okra was excellent. My wife was pleasantly delighted by the sample of okra that I had given her.“
“This place is bigger than it looks when you first walk in. Tons of seating. if you want a seat by the windows so you can look out at the river, you'll have to ask and maybe wait. Otherwise, we sat right down. I got a chicken sandwich and it was really good. I'd get it again. Tortilla soup was worth it as well. Staff was friendly and the decor was definitely rustic gristmill. Yes, I guess that is a thing.“
