“This the most ridiculously lovely experience I have had at a restaurant in actual years, maybe a decade. My flabbers are honestly ghasted and this is my new favorite place ever. I really can't rave enough. And the prices are basically the same as an ihop. Rebekah was our server, she was completely amazing and conscientious and considerate of our baby and we loved her. Can't wait to come back.“

“This is a great breakfast spot with great portions and prices. The grumpy old man is the action at this place. I think he sits people, busts tables and sometimes starts you off with your drink if the server is busy at the moment. He absolutely does not care if he butchers your name or whatever. He'll tell you to deal with it and go sit at your table in the nicest grumpy old man way. It was pretty funny to watch

The Chef's here is amazing absolutely no burn on the eggs, crispy hashbrowns, the biscuits are amazing.

“We had lunch today on the porch! LED off with Fried Oyster appetizer! Spicy Crunchy Trout with Broccoli and roasted potatoes and a really nice side salad. My wife had the Three Seafood Salad with Salmon and Shrimp. I know there was another seafood item but she can’t remember. But the waitress was so professional and in these days…she was so good! I wish we’d gotten the Fried Brie appetizer! A little hard to Locate back in behind the other shops but they were also fun! Very good bread as well!!!!“

“The food was very good. The smoked pork tenderloin medallions were my favorite. The place itself is a cozy lovers dream. It's nestled in the heart of Gruene by the river. You have to wall through the cozies little village type place. The building and seating are just as cozy and inviting. We sat by a window that was looking over the river. It was perfect. Definitely coming back and referring friends and family here. My favorite place in town so far!“

“Imagine an out of the way local bar...smoky pool room, great good, even better service, with proper country music playing on the jukebox. Through in some live music and you've got The Happy Cow Bar and Grill. One of the best burgers on the area!“

“We were there with LP, a previous reviewer and we all thought her dress was nice. Jen the owner/bartender may have a dry sense of humor but she wants people to have a good time. She has never been demeaning or rude in any way. I’m sorry they felt that way, but this place is nice.“

“My husband and I had our Happily Ever After party here to celebrate our elopement. It was the perfect place to host a large party. We had about 80 people present, both adults and kids. The Hideaway provided an amazing nacho bar, an open bar for our guests, and an incredible band, Rock Castle. The service, music, food, and drinks were amazing!! It was one of the best nights of my life and their team made it so easy and special. I’m very grateful.“

“Was so hopeful, but the pizza was disappointing. My carry out oder of "The Big One" was a disaster. I wish I could have attached a photo. The pizza did not look anything like the photo. Crust was flat and without rise. No red onions present, kalamata olives were replaced with canned black olives, and is that fresh basil on the pizza in the photo? Unfortunate and very regretable.“

“Just tried this place and man those wings slap! My bf had these blueberry wings, weird combination but dam those wings were so good! Sweet and savory. I had the lemon pepper bc its my favorite flavor. They were so crispy and seasoned very well. The waitress Zoe shout out to her, she did her job too, beyond nice and attentive.
