“Rustic looking place with hard to find front door, but food is excellent and service is upbeat and quick. This is an upscale restaurant in a tourist area. Their portions are generous and the barbecue ribs very good.
Not inexpensive but less costly than a fancy steakhouse. It will be hard to save room for dessert.

Dietary restrictions: Sensitive to gluten sensitivity but has no gluten free breads.

Parking: It's in the Hamlet of Gruene in the midst of bars, music venues, gift shops, bakeries, and other restaurants.

“I’ve been eating at Pat’s pretty much since it opened. We had not been there in a long time so decided to go for lunch today. I had the bacon cheeseburger and sweet potato fries while my husband had the meatloaf. The food was ok, but the bacon was so tough I couldn’t bite into it and the tomato on my burger as well as in the side salad was far from ripe and tasteless. Please do better as we do like this place.“

“Worst hamburger I think I’ve EVER eaten. We paid $42 for 2 bacon cheese burgers and a order of fries. Our hamburger were cooked to hockey pucks and had no flavor. Do NOT eat here if you’re in New Braunsfel! If you’re just looking for some drinks and music, this place has a descent atmosphere but otherwise stay away. It’s very pricey!“

“Stopped here tonite hve a delivery walmart dc 5am on way home after that in San Antonio so decided to stay the nite here went into black bear diner had the ribs and shrimp combo was delicious ribs tender bbq sauce tangy very impressed by the plate. A basket (10) of bone in wings, double fried 'Mike's Way', lemon pepper on the side. I need the protein and was impressed by the speed and accuracy of mine and the girls orders.
The rustic ambiance was old wood, mellow, and setup well for family groups.

“Great local bar to come to for excellent food, live music on the outdoor stage, and nice people and employees. Rarely turns into a complete madhouse where you can't get seated, but karaoke nights and any love music nights and it does get crowded as it is a well known and loved bar. Very old and rustic looking. Authentic is a great word for it.

There's a parking lot in the front and another down the right side driveway leading to the right of the stage. Neither is very large but I can't say I've ever gotten there and had nowhere to park on the grounds.

There's far more room outside to sit than inside but some of the outside area is covered, so I've been there in driving rain and not gotten wet. Staff is attentive no matter where you sit.

Parking: As mentioned there is an upper parking lot in front of the building and a lower parking lot down the right side driveway to the right of the outdoor stage.

Kid-friendliness: I've seen many families being their kids here, especially during the day but at night too when live music is playing

Wheelchair accessibility: I'm fairly sure there's a ramp on one end of the front porch entrance or the other.“

“We came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch at 1 pm. There were only two people in the bar besides us.

We ordered sliders and a Philly with rings and fries.

We got our drinks and were told it would be 15 minutes because the fryer hadn't been turned on yet. We weren't in a big hurry, so we didn't mind waiting. Thirty minutes later, we were still waiting. We asked the server, and she said it was almost done. Our food came out about 5 minutes later.

The sliders were top-notch some of the best burgers ever. They were simple yet so flavorful. What made them stand out was they were SEASONED! I didn't even add condiments they were seasoned so well. The philly was also very tasty.

The fries were very good, but the rings were ok. If I had to choose between the two, the fries are hands down better.

The food is very good. I'm not sure if the wait time is something normal or not as it was our first visit.“

This venue has live music on the weekends with some really great up-and-coming talent, both local and regional

“The food was great. Had the steak special which was worth every penny. Our waitress seemed to be busy with other things so we had to go ask for refills when needed and to go box. Other waitresses seemed to be with it. Atmosphere inside and out is phenomenal. Sat for a few minutes on way out and enjoyed the breeze, cozy lighting and live music while 1 of us smoked. Highly recommend for date night, girls/guys night, special occasions or even those hanging solo.

“We were seated pretty quickly as we went just before 10pm. Waited about 10 min before our server came to get our drinks order. It was overly loud in the restaurant, made it hard to even hear a conversation across the table. Food was ok. My fillet was way undercooked and my wife’s was way overcooked. The asparagus was a little over seasoned. All in all it wasn’t bad but could have been a lot better for the $35 a piece.
