Excellent beer and liquor selection, fun specialty drinks and all around an absolutely killer vibe. We loved chatting up the locals and we were treated with the utmost respect, warmth and kindness from my main dog Lance (owner). Super special spot. Thanks, Lance!“

“I was in town with a friend and we went to the Villa two days in a row. It was a great place to hang out , visit, and have some refreshments. The staff was very nice and the musical entertainment was great! I even met a handsome cowboy after a wedding who made sure I got to my uber safely. Sure wish I knew who he was.“

“We ate at the Greune bar and Grill. The food was to die for! After that we had drinks at The Speakeasy! We're the bartender Logan explained the history of the town and the name of the bar speakeasy comes from prohibition when bars were illegal. Walking down the steps to the bar the door says keep out. Bars were illegal a person would speak easy to you about the bars location. This would be the only way you could find bars back then. Logan with all his information definitely made the bar experience much better. Thank you Logan!“

“Came in yesterday and my goodness the food was awesome! Best fried pickles I’ve had to date. My lemon drop martini was perfect! I had their BLT off the brunch menu and it was amazing. I like chewy bacon and this was a bit crunchy for my taste but still good. Definitely coming back here.“

“My husband and I decided to stop in for a Dessert Martini after our dinner/date night, we live in the area so why not! We loved the atmosphere, it's very relaxing and not wild and crazy. The bar is very clean and has a very nice Ambiance.

“Decent drinks including a very large selection of "martinis" (though they are pretty far from the classic formula). Lots of events each week going on so check their Facebook page. The music is a bit loud IMO; it can be really hard to hear someone right next to you if you're trying to talk.“

“What a wonderful find! My wife and I stumbled across this place on our trip to San Antonio. The striking design of the building caught our eye from the road, and the interior is just as unique and beautiful. The owner, Jen, is an absolute star. She was gave us the best bar experience of our entire trip. Her homemade margarita recipe was amazing! Everything was perfect and we will definitely be back. Cozy, inviting and an absolute must. “The atmosphere there is so home like. Amazing staff and awesome food. We ordered a small onion rings and it looked like a large. My son got the catfish and I got the chicken fried chicken. Omg this is the best home cooked food . We will be returning.“

“We randomly found this place because we were in town for a wedding. We simply walked by and saw the name and caught our attention. We've tried alot of Oyster places and we didnt know what to expect. This place is our to go to EVERYTIME we come to town now. The oyster are fresh and didnt realize they had a couple options depending on where they are from. So far we've come to try something new on the menu each time but always our to go to is the oysters. I can definitely say nothing on the menu so far is a disappointment and we've tried atleast 70% of their menu. Definitely a recommended place!“

“We happened upon Moonshine & Ale around 7:30 on a Saturday night. When we arrived, it wasn’t very crowded, which made it easy to grab a drink and get settled. The drinks were fine and reasonably enjoyable.

Once the piano bar music started, the place quickly became extremely crowded. The piano bar itself was fun and energetic, but the sheer number of people made it feel a bit overwhelming.

Overall, it’s a lively piano bar with a fun atmosphere — just be prepared for big crowds once the music gets going.“

“Update 2023: Unfortunately the Elks isn't what it used to be...... The last few times we've eaten there have been a disappointment, it's been warm inside and they managed to run off good leadership and stewards of the community!!

Original review from 2022: We are members at the Elks, and truly appreciate everyone there. They always welcome new guests, serve great food, have the best wood dance floor in New Braunfels, and there quite a few special people that volunteer and work there. Dances are always open to the public, so join us sometime!!“

“Paralyzed waist down in a motorized wheelchair easy to to around and space needed including the Closed captions reader. However would like it to make it easy to clamp on arms of wheelchair and the unit to heavy to the flex post to weak to stay in position as needed. Hope a remedy to the problem gets know since new to area would like to return if there's improvements to the captions unit. Thanks
