“I used to work here and it was by far the BEST job I’ve ever had . They treated every employee like family and every customer who came thru the door with kindness . Lis and Jayme are super knowledgeable when it comes to wine and only bringing the best stuff in . Amber the manager is also AMAZING and always coming up with great ideas for the place . 10/10 recommend stopping in to experience it sometime and enjoy all they have to offer !“

“These daiquiris are dangerous! Went out for ice cream and found this place on a whim! Got a liquid marijuana and boy she was rude asf! “not only a great place to eat, but as you can tell from the last part of the name and awesome place to drink! Lively spot close to the sqare and lots of parking around the area if you can walk a block or two. Very friendly staff and best of all clean bathrooms too.“
“Decent drinks including a very large selection of "martinis" (though they are pretty far from the classic formula). Lots of events each week going on so check their Facebook page. The music is a bit loud IMO; it can be really hard to hear someone right next to you if you're trying to talk.“

“We happened upon Moonshine & Ale around 7:30 on a Saturday night. When we arrived, it wasn’t very crowded, which made it easy to grab a drink and get settled. The drinks were fine and reasonably enjoyable.
Once the piano bar music started, the place quickly became extremely crowded. The piano bar itself was fun and energetic, but the sheer number of people made it feel a bit overwhelming.
Overall, it’s a lively piano bar with a fun atmosphere — just be prepared for big crowds once the music gets going.“

“Update 2023: Unfortunately the Elks isn't what it used to be...... The last few times we've eaten there have been a disappointment, it's been warm inside and they managed to run off good leadership and stewards of the community!!
Original review from 2022: We are members at the Elks, and truly appreciate everyone there. They always welcome new guests, serve great food, have the best wood dance floor in New Braunfels, and there quite a few special people that volunteer and work there. Dances are always open to the public, so join us sometime!!“

“Gave it a four only because of Monica the bartender she’s amazing. Doorman Gonzo however is a power tripping joke. A group of us came in 8 to be exact 7 females one male, we came in from the monthly truck meet. All but 3 females were mid to late 40’s including myself (49) the male my boyfriend is 51 we walk in go to the bar and Gonzo shows up out of no where (wasn’t at the door) and starts telling me I need your ID, the younger ones had theirs mine was in my truck, I told him my date of birth clearly I’m way over 21 but then he starts power tripping, Monica told him no it’s fine they’re of age and he proceeds to repeat over and over obnoxiously “I need to see ID” what a joke normally I’d be flattered however he was just being a j**** we go in there frequently during our truck meets and I’ve never experienced a doorman abusing his pseudo authority they way he did, I’ll make sure when going there next month we send a scout in to make sure that j*** isn’t “manning” the place. I will say that I’ve always had really great experiences with all other bartenders and doormen there.“

“Paralyzed waist down in a motorized wheelchair easy to to around and space needed including the Closed captions reader. However would like it to make it easy to clamp on arms of wheelchair and the unit to heavy to the flex post to weak to stay in position as needed. Hope a remedy to the problem gets know since new to area would like to return if there's improvements to the captions unit. Thanks

“They don't serve food but there a fried chicken truck which I think is overly priced. Atmosphere is great and so are the drinks. Nice to hang outside with a fire pit and listen to the bands. There's a pizzeria next door which smells like my Jersey pizza. I'm pretty sure you can bring that in to eat“
