We arrived on a Thursday at 2 during spring break. The restaurant was very busy, but we were seated immediately. We had the blackened grouper, coconut shrimp, gumbo, and fresh toast, with tea. I love grouper and it did not disappoint. The fish was well seasoned, brown rice was perfect, and the broccoli was cooked just right, not too mushy and not crunchy. Service was great. Food was very good. I got the French toast and my wife got pancakes which we shared. Pancakes were really good. Nothing was greasy and they had excellent Diet Coke if you are a connoisseur of that soda. The place was spacious and has outdoor seating which faces East so might be a bit warm on Summer mornings.

The food and atmosphere were great, but the service was above and beyond.I asked the server for a recommendation and she gave me a couple of options.I went with the Juevos Ranchero and they were the best I ever had.My coffee cup was never empty.I highly recommend Avery's.
