We had a BLT, loved the fried green tomato twist, but the bacon was over done and the bread was a little soggy.
Turkey dinner was great and southwest tacos were good.
Our server Jennifer C was friendly and efficient.
The staff was mostly awesome, could have done without listening to host bad mouthing fellow employees and other guests while waiting for our table.”

Beyond the amazing food, the staff at Rabel’s truly stood out. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure both the wedding party and our guests were taken care of the entire time. That level of service made such a special day even more memorable. Even though we live in East Texas, we’ll definitely be stopping by Rabel’s every chance we get when we’re near La Vernia. “We had lunch today on the porch! LED off with Fried Oyster appetizer! Spicy Crunchy Trout with Broccoli and roasted potatoes and a really nice side salad. My wife had the Three Seafood Salad with Salmon and Shrimp. I know there was another seafood item but she can’t remember. But the waitress was so professional and in these days…she was so good! I wish we’d gotten the Fried Brie appetizer! A little hard to Locate back in behind the other shops but they were also fun! Very good bread as well!!!!”

“My first visit was impressive. Mahi Mahi Boudreaux was on point. The crawfish cream sauce was very tasty. I was not pleased with spices in dirty rice. The boldness did not pair well with sauce. Lobster bisque nicely done with a mildly spicy kick. The ‘Post Master’ (Hurricane) was a bit tart to my liking. Beautiful decor with a history stretching back to 1915 when the building was the New Braunfels post office. McAdoo’s could be a monthly repeat soon. Stuffed flounder on my mind.”
