“Edited to say: Still so good! I've gone back probably weekly since my first post. They change out some of their desserts. I went again today and got the creme brulee. I ate it in the car ad it was so good I went back in and bought the last 2. Also got the lemon blueberry pie and brownies.Stopped in today and got a variety of treats. All of them were delicious! And they were all a really good price too. I will be coming back for more!These are the smores cookie and macaron. I ate the others before taking pics!“
“Found this little jewel when heading for some Barbacoa down the street. This place has the nicest people working there, and some of the best pastry I have had in a long time. Items are not greasy like some donut shops and donut are lite and fluffy. Apple Fritters are so good. Don’t miss there flour tortillas either. Go here at least once a week.“

“I’ve had lunch here twice and plan to be a regular. I’ve had both the chicken and mushroom sandwiches, both with the gluten free bread. It’s hard to pull off tasty gluten free bread but they have. The mushroom/ veggie sandwich had just the right amount of portobello without bringing overwhelming. It was a nice balance of veggies with cheese to add a little richness.The chicken pesto sandwich I had on my first visit was equally delicious. I was suspicious of avocado, mayonnaise and pesto but it was wonderful,The kitchen is open do you can see your dish prepared. It’s very clean and the staff is contentious with the preparation. This is now one of my favorites in NB. Look forward to my return,“
“We hired Danielle to do our wedding cake and I can’t believe how amazing it turned out!! My now husband is not a dessert guy and we were struggling to find a flavor he thought he would enjoy. We did a tasting with Danielle and he DEVOURED all 4 flavors in one sitting. Not only was the cake the best freaking carrot cake we have ever had, it was also beautiful. “I've been shopping here for almost two years, and I'm pretty happy with it. The staff that I interact with are usually pretty friendly, and any time I've had an issue, I can usually get it sorted out pretty quickly. I like to use the H-E-B app. It's good because you can select the store that you're shopping at, and then when you can't find an item you can use the app to tell you what aisle it's on. And also they have digital coupons and you can use the app for that instead of paper coupons, which they also have in the store for people without smart phones, I guess. Are there people who don't have smart phones? Anyway, definitely shop here if you like lower prices and saving money. And a generally friendly staff.“

“Being a tourist for a day in New Braunfels, our first stop was one of the oldest bakeries in Texas... Nargelin's! We were able to park right up front, walked in, and our eyes were immediately drawn to all the scrumptious goodies behind the display counters on the left and the packaged goodies on shelves towards the right). We waited in a small line ( I understand it can get pretty busy), and mentally made a list of what we wanted to order. What made Naegelin famous is their apple strudel, so no doubt we ordered it...in addition to their sausage kolache, bear claw, and strawberry kolache. Absolutely loved the apple strudel! Fresh chunks of apples, a bit of cherry for color, and a hint of coconut. These small additions made this strudel stand out from the usual run of the mill. The bear claw was not my fave and not what I had envisioned. Presentation and taste was more along the lines of a pop tart. Besides apple strudels, they sell a variety of breads, doughnuts, cupcakes, cookies, pies, macaroons, and kolaches. Service was quick, and the ladies behind the counter were sweet.“

Her marble cake was so soft and scrumptious and the icing was silky and smooth. She made the buttercream icing look like fondant. I will return to her for any and all baking needs.
