Naegelin's German Bakery Reviews
Being a tourist for a day in New Braunfels, our first stop was one of the oldest bakeries in Texas... Nargelin's! Disappointed in the quality of everything. Peach strudel was underbaked and pale. No brown, shiny crust on anything in the store. Donuts were dry. Gingerbread man lacked flavor. Pretzel was flaccid. Everything on the shelves and in the cases looked like it was from a basic grocery store bakery section. The prices were cheap, the service was friendly, and it's a local place, but I still wouldn't bother.
