“Everything was great about Kraus’. Husband and I were in the area for our dog’s vet appt and needed lunch when she was done. Found this dog-friendly, beer having spot! The reuben wasn’t anything special, but it was yummy. Dressing served on the side. German potato salad has mustard and vinegar which leads to a very acidic flavor profile that wasn’t my cup of tea. Husband got the venison burger and ate it right up. Wish we’d live closer and we’d probably become regulars.“
“This is a great casual outdoor or inside dining restaurant and bar. Food is delicious and family friendly, pet friendly too! Cannot wait to go in the summer nights to listen to live music on the patio!Kid-friendliness: Games outdoors to keep kiddos busy“
“I got a bunless German Wurst and wondered if it would be worth $12 plus a tip. It was! It was literally smothered in tasty sauerkraut, grilled onions and damn delicious brown mustard, drizzled with hot chili ketchup. I'm already wanting another. I'm glad to have a new go to place for my low carb lifestyle while in Gruene. Thank you Sam, you sir are quite the chef.“
“Okay, hear me out. It’s a far drive for some. It’s a little up there on the price side. But if you’ll just listen to me and our server “Herr Nōrmann” (Norm), you’ll leave here very full and very satisfied. The food is as authentic as I remember from living in Germany. The service? Perfect. The ambience is a cross between a castle and a hunting lodge. The drink choices are plentiful and will not bore you. Desserts. Yeah….Black Forest cake and apple strudel pair very well with the Weihenstephaner beer, believe it or not. Worth the drive. Worth the money. Worth the time it took to read this long a$$ review. ASK FOR NORM!! Guten Appetit, Y’all!“
