“We love going to Gruene and staying at the Gruene Mansion Inn. It's a tradition for us. We go for a few days over the Christmas holiday and then we always stay a few times during the Spring and Summer. Each room is charming and different. We typically stay in the Sunday Haus which has a seating area downstairs with a fireplace and a spiral staircase leading up to a large room with. A king size bed and balcony. It's fun to listen to the bands playing at Oma's secret garden. The spiral stairs are a little hard to navigate - justFYI. They have plenty of rooms with normal stairs. Recently we have been staying at the Corn Crib cottage which has a sweet little loft that my 4 year old stays in. The breakfast is fantastic. Especially the coffee!The reason I decided to write a review however is we just got back from our holiday stay when I received a phone call that the maid had found my wedding rings - I had left them behind. Eek! It was Friday and I was leaving for Boston on Sunday (Christmas Day). The woman was so empathetic and assured me she would get them to me on time. She overnighted and I got them back on my finger the next day. Hallelujah!!“
“I had a really great breakfast!! I use to be a manager of a ihop and open them and train people and everyone was very friendly and the food was amazing. It’s hard to find a ihop with the potential that I know it can have. Especially since Covid!! Thank you for the food and great hospitality“
“They have a large parking lot. Benches along the front and on the side of the building. The bench area is covered with ceiling fans. Id suggest placing yourself on the waitlist prior to arriving. We visited on a Monday and we still had to wait 20 mins to he seated. The booths are large enough to seat 3 people per side. The menu was large and had a lot of options. No prices were listed on the menu. You can scan a QR code to see the prices on your phone. No sweet tea and paper straws. Large portions of food. The texas waffle was topped with peaches.The omlet was large enough to feed 2 people easilyYou got to pick your fresh veggies that would be placed in the omelette. Servers were attentive. Overall, i had a great experience and will be back!“
“We were in the mood for wings and this restaurant didn’t miss the spot. We had the bbq, Parmesan and garlic. They were crispy just the way I love them. The flavors were great. Restaurant was clean and friendly staff. It’s hard to find crispy wings and the insides were tender and moist. Definitely recommend this small business. We will be returning.“
