“Six twist is amazing! We absolutely loved the sophisticated classy vibe this place has. We were greeted by the owner Melissa who is so awesome! She is the sweetest person ever and she was so knowledgeable about all the champagne! I have recommended this place to everyone I have seen since we’ve been In Fredericksburg and I will continue to recommend! I can’t say enough good things about this establishment and the people who own/work there! 10 out of 10 for sure!! Also get the Truffle fries!!! They are to die for!“

“Finally leaving a review after more than 6 visits- we come for the ambience, the wine, and Austin (the owner) and Adam (the store manager). We are treated not just as guests but as friends every time we come. We love the Chenin Blanc, the Shiraz and Cab Sauv. Give them a visit! They're a little off the Golden Blocks of Main Street, but totally worth the visit. Thanks for always giving impeccable service and kindness! We could hang there for hours, lol and sometimes do.“

Ferris & Fletch Wine Co. Wine Bar •

“The best wine maker in Fredericksburg. Rarig is an authentic wine maker. Loves his craft and is encapsulated a brand in his bottles. The wine is amazing. Grapes and varietals you won’t find any where. And then hits it with the classics. His Chardonnay, Cabs and big grapes slap. The back green space with pergolas and fire pits and seating are beautiful. They have taken this experience to the next level.Make sure you are a member of their wine club. The best treat every season.“

Sweetbriar Rose Bistros • $
9973 US-290, Fredericksburg

“I went on a wine tour with 11 other family members on a girl's trip and I highly recommend this location for sweet wines and mimosas. My two favorite wines that we sampled were the Serena Red Wine and Sori Gramella Mascato d'Asti. Both wines were sweet and a majority of our group bought both bottles. If you go on the 290 Wine Bus Tour, I recommend stopping at this location. Along with the good wines, the snickerdoodle cookies were absolutely delicious. They are nice and soft and crumble in your mouth. The staff were very helpful with selecting wines and savory treats. Bathrooms were very clean as well.“

“Augustin Vin was great! It’s not a winery on 290, so it felt more quiet and serene. Westin was a great tour guide, she was super knowledgeable and has great info! We left the winery with two bottles, highly suggest the Petite Sirah and Celeste Malange.“

Fiesta Winery Fredericksburg Wine Bar • $$

“Stopped in at Fiesta winery after the teal/Tiffany blue (everything) lured me in (lol). It is my favorite color afterall. There was a bit of a crowd so I browsed around! Right when you walk in there's the wine tasting area and winery merch but way in the back there's also a super cute boutique! If you've never been to Fredericksburg, you will learn when you visit that they have the best shops/shopping experience! Fritztown is wine country but I come mostly for the shopping lol Anyhow, I scored on a few things, one being; the cutest German shepherd sticker for my hubby since he loves them so much! I'm glad I stopped in! Staff is so nice and helpful!“

“The place was amazing!! Our server, Rick, took excellent care of us last night. Even though he was double-sat when we fell into his section, I did not feel like an extra burden in any way. Rather, he felt like another member of our party, one with intimate knowledge of the restaurant and its menu, giving us things like a free sample of the carrot soup (which was amazing, btw). The grounds are absolutely stunning, and it makes me wish we could have stayed here, in one of the cabins. That being said, one of the only troubles we had is the bit where we had to wait for our table (and that only because the advertisement we say explicitly stated there is no reason for reservations). True, we did not have reservations but we were still seated within about a half hour on Saturday night, and there was plenty for us to look at in the meantime. It was not a big deal, but it is a comment for the future. Always get the reservation, especially on weekends. Finally, the food. Everything our server recommended was top notch. Of course, I've only been there once, so I can't speak for the whole menu, but what we had was amazing, especially the steak (I had the ten ounce strip), maybe the best steak I've ever had in my life. All in all, the most difficult thing to swallow is maybe the cost of everything, but when you consider the exceptional wait staff, the incredible atmosphere, and the outstanding menu items, I also know these things do not come cheap. My wife and I (we live in the San Antonio area) are already planning our second trip to this excellent establishment(!!)“

“On a relaxing weekend trip to Fredericksburg we wanted to find a place to relax while enjoying a cigar. BAM! Lincoln Street wine and cigar bar was right in front of us. Cozy and comfortable sitting area inside and a wonderful patio. The two guys working the bar were amazing. They do not have a "wine" menu instead they ask what you like and they pull a wine for you. They were spot on. We enjoyed our cigars and our wine. Great place and looking forward to visiting when everything is green and in bloom. Gorgeous patio!“

Nine Course Wine Dinner at Andreucci
Brunello Silver Label

“I have had the pleasure and privilege of visiting Andreucci Vineyards in Pienza, Italy where the wine is produced. We had a 7 course wine dinner during our Cook in Tuscany cooking school week and I've done that two times. Absolutely fabulous! If you go to Tuscany and are close by, Andreucci's is a wonderful place to go!! I was elated to learn several years ago that Andreucci Vineyards opened a tasting room in Fredericksburg, TX. We specifically chose to spend several days based in Fredericksburg solely based on the fact Andreucci Wine Room was located there! And of course we signed up for the wine club and we continue to receive 4 bottles of (red) wine four times per year. You can opt to take the recommendations from winemaker Flavio Andreucci, or customize the order. It is excellent wine in our opinion and we enjoy it with all types of food, not just Italian food. During the visit to Fredericksburg, we tried Texas wine but it was not to our personal liking. So if you are visiting Fredericksburg, be sure to visit Andreucci Wine Room and taste for yourself.“

“Great service, food, and ambiance!! Our waiter was Ian, we loved him. Very knowledgeable about the wine. If you're a wine lover, go for the bottle!! In hindsight, my boyfriend and I should have done that but we just couldn't decide on red vs white. He loved his Italian Rosso and I loved my Sauvignon Blanc. For an appetizer, we enjoyed the meatballs. So fresh-- both the meat and tomatoes. For our entrees, he got the wild boar pappardelle and I the pollo de bucatini. The bucatini was amazing! So many different flavors and depth. In comparison, the pappardelle with wild boar almost fell flat. We are both Italian food #snobs so maybe it was just our opinion. Overall, we'd definitely visit again! Great little location and experience, without any pretentious vibe.“

Elk Store Winery & Distillery Wine Bar • $$
327 E Main St, Fredericksburg

“This winery/distillery has a very nice selection. The two different bars was definitely confusing and a bit inconvenient. Also, I was told to have a tasting I would have to go next door. I didn't wander around because it seemed like too much work and it was pretty crowded when I visited. I would like to come back at a less busy time to figure out all my options. Besides logistics, this is a very nice spot. It's cozy and has additional lounge seating in the back near the cocktail bar and bathroom. The customer service was just okay, the bartenders seemed a bit rushed and the greeting was very scripted at the wine bar. I did however appreciate the refill when I accidentally spilled my rose!“
