“You can only get one size pizza here, just be warned. So we got 2 calzones instead. It’s not my favorite thing, but friend said best he’s had in a while. We had the salad with grapes which was amazing. Friendly staff, but only seating for around 8-10 people, so more a place to grab pizza and go.“

“A fun place to poke around and also have some delicious food. The cheeseburger is not from a previously frozen patty. It is hand-formed, nicely seasoned. We added a large order of seasoned fries. Everything was very yummy, served quickly. We chose to eat outside where there is lots of seating. (Music on the weekends.) Definitely an out of the way place to enjoy. Thanks Google Maps for taking us there.“

“This heavy metal rock bar is a total gem! The drinks are absolutely wonderful, and the bartender is just awesome. It's a hidden spot that's worth discovering for anyone looking for a laid-back hangout with great vibes. I found it by accident while walking the streets with my girlfriends the first day of our visit in town. We came back the rest of our trip every night! The drinks were absolutely delicious! and I cant stop raving about the atmosphere. I'm definitely coming back the next time I'm in town!“

“My Missus and I lived in Germany for a few years, and walking through the door brought back memories. Our server Abby (hope I spelled that right) was great! The bread is outsourced from a local bakery, and had the perfect flavor and texture. The schnitzel was fantastic. Dark mushroom gravy, perfect breading. The house red was deep, with amazing cherry forward flavor, the wheat beer (bottled) was nicely cloudy. I would recommend anyoneoffering wheat beer to include a lemon wedge. We highly recommend.“

“This is a nice out of the way place. I went on a Sunday, a day before the eclipse. The place was not too busy. You get put on a waiting list and can just grab whatever you want to drink out of the cooler. I would come back again if ever in the area.“

Red Baron's Bar • $$
515 E Hwy St, Fredericksburg

“We were in Fredericksburg fir the wknd and wanted to have a drink at a place that's "off the beaten path"... This place was walking distance from our hotel and had a good reviews so we decided to check it out! Definitely a dive bar that's well known and visited by locals. This is not a touristy stop by any means and I am oh so appreciative it is not! Pools tables available. Drinks are served cold and the bartenders are amazing! It is smokey, so smoking may be permitted (not sure). Nothing fancy, a total dive, and just a great place to have a cold drink and watch the game or meet some locals. If you want a place that's low key, away from all the tourists places, with good drinks this is the place to visit.“

“Great atmosphere and live music was enjoyable. Great spot for a few drinks. Food was ok but nothing super special. The "Blue Ribbon BBQ Bacon Burger" was so heavily smothered in BBQ sauce, I couldn't taste anything else. For that large a burger, it was a bit on the dry side. The staff was friendly.“

“My husband came here before we even met and he had been telling me about this warm wine that was Christmas in a cup and finally we made a trip out here and I got to taste this wine he had been talking about for YEARS! and let me tell you ..It did not disappoint! The couple working the counter were sweet and personable. I loved the conversation and banter. The wine tasting was reasonably priced and I got a wine glass with it. I love sweet wine so ended up purchasing a sweet rosé and the Christmas wine! Can't wait to visit again.“
