“This is a very popular vineyard, so make reservations in advance. The wines from the flights we tried were delicious - the winemaker really likes juicy reds, although I found them lacking other flavor dimensions. This was the most expensive tasting we tried and it felt a little formal/regimented with a push to sell bottles and memberships. There was nowhere to sit and relax during the tasting - only if you bought a bottle or glass after. The server was very knowedgeable and made the experience a bit more enjoyable. Overall, a little haughty.“

“It was crowded but they have 2 lines one for dine-in and the other for the bakery area. The breakfast was delicious and huge. The hot chocolate also delicious. My sister ask for Belgium waffles and she loves them. The restaurant has parking in front of the street but also, have a parking lot that is shared by different places that you can use too.“

“Recommended by an acquaintance. About 6 miles North of town in an old Sinclair gas station. A small bar and 4 tables. Menu choice was a DinoBLT or hot wings. We went for the BLT. Order at the bar, no table service. BLT's came out in a paper sack. Bottle beer and canned soda are the beverage options, no water. Could well be the best BLT I ever had. $10.00. Weekends The menu changes to DinoBurger $20.00 and wings. Would have come back for that but left town the next day. While waiting around for food, wander through the service bay.“

“We go to Mamcita's almost every time we are in town. The food is always good, but this past weekend, we went and I went into the restroom and it was awful. The second stall was so nasty and I tried to flush it down, but the handle was broke. So I waited for the next one to open up. After I walked out, told the lady by the desserts and she cut me off right away and said they knew it. Why was this not addressed and at least put a note on the door that is was out of order? Why was not not fixed when it was reported the first time. Please keep restrooms clean-this also gives a red flag that leans to the wonder of the kitchen. This was a big turn off!!“

“We really enjoyed our dinner at Rathskeller. I had the blackened Mahi Mahi and it was delicious. My husband said the Heavenly Tilapia was the best he’s ever had. The rice pilaf wasn’t bad, but it was more of a Spanish rice IMO. I enjoyed the cheddar mashed potatoes, but my husband was not impressed with them. Over all, our dinner was wonderful and the service was great. We’d go back again!“

“We arrived at the Social Haus, thirsty, hot and hungry. We found out upon arrival several employees had called out and left Skylar and his coworkers stranded on a busy Saturday. That did not deter Skylar from doing his absolute best and serving us very well and with a positive attitude. I only ordered a Coke as I wasn’t hungry, and Skylar did something no other waiter has done for me when I’ve only ordered a drink at a restaurant: he checked on me several times and made sure I hadn’t gotten hungry. Service was prompt and excellent despite the restaurant being short staffed, and the food all around the table looked fresh and well made. The ambiance was nice and when we return to Fredericksburg, we will drop in and pay Skylar and Social Haus a visit. Skylar needs a raise and some paid vacation days!!!“

“Bucs is the local bar that has it all; sports, pool, karaoke, food and awesome bartenders. My favorite by far is Jasmine. She’s speedy, no waiting for your drinks, always remembers our drinks and never lets the crowds or the pace affect her smile or sense of humor. We won’t even get started on the flaming shots.
