“We spent time during the 2024 solar eclipse at this place, and it was incredible. Excellent views, hanging areas, and bar, and the staff is what made it great. Some of the friendliest, down to earth people that we’ve ever met at a business like this. The museum had historic cars that you will never see anywhere else, that were driven by legends of racing. The golfing in the back was great touch, as well as the racing simulator, and games all around the place. The Foyt wine was top notch, and went down just a bit too smooth for our own good. Totally recommend to anyone venturing through the hill country. We will be back.”

“Our visit to Becker was something very special. Bobby rolled out the red carpet and gave our group of four the ultimate VIP experience. His tour was memorable, we absolutely won't forget our time there! Our tour included about 10 tastings, barrel samples, reserves, the private cellar, charcuterie and Bobby's vast knowledge of the history and operation of Becker. He is such an asset to Becker. If you are traveling out to Fredericksburg, you have a ton of choices in vineyards. Make sure Becker is part of your plans. You will absolutely love it!”

“We LOVED our visit at Diamond Vineyards. Lisa and Celine were so kind, hospitable, and knowledgeable. We got to go on the vineyard hike and try different tasty treats. They answered all of our questions and were so welcoming. We can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!Backstory: We were supposed to go on a group vineyard hike but called the day before to check if it was still on due to weather. Lisa offered for us to come out that day for a tour instead since the weather was nicer. It was so thoughtful of them to reschedule for us and we had a fun time being the only ones on the tour. Keep in mind when you look at these photos that the vines are going dormant. Still beautiful but not as lush as other times of the year.”

For an appetizer, we enjoyed the meatballs. So fresh-- both the meat and tomatoes. For our entrees, he got the wild boar pappardelle and I the pollo de bucatini. The bucatini was amazing! So many different flavors and depth. In comparison, the pappardelle with wild boar almost fell flat. We are both Italian food #snobs so maybe it was just our opinion. Overall, we'd definitely visit again! Great little location and experience, without any pretentious vibe.”

We enjoyed every aspect of our visit from the beautifully cooked meat and sausage sampler (see photo), the museum, and the star of the show all of the beer. My two favorite wines that we sampled were the Serena Red Wine and Sori Gramella Mascato d'Asti. Both wines were sweet and a majority of our group bought both bottles. If you go on the 290 Wine Bus Tour, I recommend stopping at this location. Along with the good wines, the snickerdoodle cookies were absolutely delicious. They are nice and soft and crumble in your mouth. The staff were very helpful with selecting wines and savory treats. Bathrooms were very clean as well.”

The surf and turf was cooked to perfection, the stuffed jalapeños were out of this world! This was by far the best meal we had this week in Fredericksburg and that’s saying something, because everything has been wonderful. 10/10 this is a great place to have a fun romantic meal and even though there is a dance floor not 100’ away it was still quiet. Don’t forget to check out the live music at the saloon!”

“My husband and I split the French Dip was prepared perfectly. The beef was tender and juicy. The crispy homemade chips are delicious. Our server Lucas was was friendly, attentive and very professional. We enjoyed the Adoration sparkling wine.”

“I sell this place to anyone and everyone that mentions to me they are visiting Fredericksburg soon.While their menu is seasonal, you are sure to enjoy the variety of well prepared, flavorful dishes. Personally, I visited a couple years ago and just realized I had not posted a review. At the time, Chase had coffee coated lamb lollipops with a smear of whipped sweet potatoes. The appetizer was so delicious, we ended up ordering 3 of them and just had that as our dinner. I look forward to my next trip to town and have a culinary adventure exploring What Chase may have to offer.”

“Such an amazing brunch spot in Fredericksburg. Usually a 15-20 wait but so worth it. Have to try the Josephine. Don’t knock before you try it. It works so well together. Omelettes are always a hit too. Must go when you’re in town.”

“Stopped in during our visit to Fredericksburg. Nice little place we ate the dish with the Snitzel and bratwurst with a sausage, red cabbage and sauerkraut with a super friendly atmosphere. Great service loved the owner. We definitely recommend this as a stop on your time in Fredricksburg. They had other options not just German as well. So if the family is not all sold on German cuisine and you want other options this is a good choice. The wurst was good but not the best I've had here in Fredricksburg. Overall a solid place worth a stop. The red cabbage though is on point. I could eat that with every meal.”

“Food is always amazing. Four stars for atmosphere only because tables are very close together and the main room is very loud. Being seated in the back room is ideal if possible. Four stars for service because I've had great, attentive servers and I've had not-so-great servers. Overall, great place to visit!”

“An old fashioned diner with a German sprinkling of fun. We had eggs and German sausage and hash browns, German pancakes(includes egg and hasbrowns and sausage. The hash browns were browned most excellent. The German pancakes is just a somewhat flatter pancake, better for syrup to sq. Inch ratio. Coffee was hot and 3 dozen 1/2 and 1/2's were on the table.My eggs had an old oil grill flavor, we were there at 7 am, so maybe there wasn't a chance for that umami to curate itself yet.We met a German citizen at the airport and told her about our German dining experience, and she laughed. Anyway, it's an evolved American/German cafe!It was nice to see the old farts in trucker hats having breakfast there, you know it's good eatin' when you see that!”

“Hadn't visited west end since their move. Wow were we impressed.We visited on a Saturday night, in around 515pm. No wait for a table, waiter showed up promptly. Wesley gave some small talk, but not too much. Our food arrived promptly and was delicious.The pizza crust was light, the toppings evenly balanced, the drinks were good, the evening went very well.Well done, West End. We will be back.As a bonus, how cool is this little spinner to keep the kids occupied inside?”

“Fantastic atmosphere, the live music was excellent. Chill outdoor area great to sit and enjoy the sunset. The food was simple and well priced, could not complain. The margaritas were elite!”

“We saw this place during our walk in downtown Fredericksburg and made a point to stop in the next day for lunch. Their home brews were superb and the butter-brushed pretzel appetizer was light, warm, and delicious. The club and reuben sandwiches were excellent, but the Caesar salad had a bit too much dressing. Overall, an excellent experience that we'd happily do again.”

“I can see all the changes made by new owners or management and I like it. Food is still good and well priced. The only bad comment is the very strong smell of floor cleaner, I am guessing it was fabuloso. It was hard to enjoy the food. The women's restroom also had a very strong smell of fabuloso and maybe sewer.”

“Stopped in with the kids after a day of hiking and shopping. The mango wheat beer they brew there was fantastic and happy hour from 3-5 was great. Looking forward to see what other beers they come out with soon!The kids loved the hot dogs and the salads were very good.”
