“Been years since we visited. I recommend making reservations as they can be crowded (especially on weekends). Food selection was nice and the service from Lindsey was excellent. We had the club with sweet potato tots and their equivalent of the French Dip with onion rings. All (except the tots) were excellent...the tots were OK as they they were a bit soggy and warm...not crisp and hot. The old store is also fun to walk through.Parking is plentiful, they do not give a mil discount.”

“Very cool place to chill and talk. The food was great for a bar but just okay for a restaurant. I would say don’t go here and depend on the food carrying you through the night. Go here cause you want a cool place that can handle big families or small groups in a cool environment. I liked the chips and queso.”

“Great mom and pop restaurant that rivals any mexican food restaurant. The jalapeno enchiladas were delicious and we couldn't get enough of the salsa. Generous portions. We were with a large group but still received curteous and professional service. My husband and I were visiting family and were really impressed with this place.”

“We've ordered caldo de pollo to go many times because we absolutely love it. We finally decided to dine in for a late lunch today. We started with beef fajita nachos and frozen margaritas, then we ordered our entrees. I thoroughly enjoyed my delicious pastor street tacos and my husband enjoyed his enchiladas. I especially loved my margarita! Our server was lovely and did a great job too. We'll definitely be back!”

Appetizer of boudin balls were delicious, along with the sauce. I hope they get a better, larger location. This food deserves a better, larger location.”

“Clean & quick service!! We had breakfast (biscuits with gravy, eggs & bacon). Three of us and it was good. Omelets looked good, hash browns were wonderful and coffee was hot. Nice , quiet and very reasonable prices!!! Will go again!”

“We took a trip to Comfort after hearing amazing reviews of Food for the Soul. The owners and staff are extremely friendly, provide incredible service and delicious food and atmosphere. We ate there multiple times during our stay. The Friday steak night dinner was incredible as well as the breakfast. The view of the creek is a beautiful backdrop as well. We look forward to returning as soon as possible.Kid-friendliness: The staff was extremely kind to the kids in the restaurant as well as adults. We didn’t take kids this time but know they’d be accommodated and happy here, too.”

“What a pleasant surprise that Kerrville has a good sushi restaurant. We ordered the Hamachi Tower, Twisted Tuna rolls and some nigiri. My favorite was the hamachi tower. Tasted fresh and sauces were good, not overwhelming. I would skip the scallop nigiri.It was a full house when we went on the weekend. Despite being full of tables, we had excellent service. The food came at an appropriate amount of wait time. Definitely will be going back.”

“My wife and I have been coming to Mamacitas for several years now and ALL my meal experiences have been very enjoyable. We normally order the Fajitas for 2 and I have to say the Fajitas are the Best I have ever eaten, always extremely tender and loaded with flavor. “We were passing through Kerrville on the way back from our Eclipse road trip. The food was excellent and our server Stacy was awesome. She was very personable and had a unique personality, which we loved. She asked my husband to cut into his steak right after she served it to make sure it was perfect! When she refilled my teenage sons coke, she gave him the whole pitcher! We just loved her personality and it was part of the best experience! The food was great and it was such a lovely location by the river. I would highly recommend this place!”

“Incredible food and service. Classic Korean food (which is rare in a small town like Kerrville!!!). I ordered the spicy pork stone bowl, and it did not disappoint. Healthy-sized servings and extra add-ons for whatever you would like. Kimchi was delish and everything was fresh. I will be back to try the kimchi jiggae! Thanks for keeping one of my favorite Kerrville restaurants alive and well, Nabi.”

“I’ve visited The Lakehouse on two separate occasions and they were both great! We were there last night and our whole family loved the food but especially the service. We had Sebastian as our server and he was great! Even our kids commented on awesome he was!”

“After a baseball game, my family and I dropped in for a quick bite before taking off in different directions. Filling 2 long tables, I was surprised how quickly we had our drinks. Our food order was taken in little, separate check fashion, without a hitch, and before I knew it we were eating and talking like we were at home around our busy table. Everything was great, food was delicious, service was awesome. I plan too be at that table just after the next game. “Clean, cute, and cozy coffeehouse in Comfort, TX that is actually one of the few places open early enough for a delicious cup of joe. I got the oatmilk latte, and my mom and sisters got drip coffee and a vanilla latte, with a scone and the ham(bacon?) + cheese muffin which were both pretty good. The prices were fair, although the wait time was a little longer than I would have expected but there were only 3 people working at the time and they had a steady influx/line of customers. I do wish the lattes were served in a mug instead of a to-go cup (they even made beautiful latte art which seems wasted since it's covered by a lid) but those things were obviously not enough of an issue to knock off any stars. Overall we really liked the space, coffee + food, friendly staff, and atmosphere!”
