“It's a great place for a Boy Scout to go for summer camp.I helped build the place.Using dynomite to blast holes in the limestone for bathrooms.My boss was a hard driving old feller we called Uncle Duder.I hope the camp manager's house is still there.It was right next to Bear Creek which flows down the middle of the camp,right into the North fork of the Guadalupe River.”

The rodeo is as country as it gets, and the dance is everything you could possibly want in an evening under the stars. If you're ever in the Hill Country and looking for a wonderful Saturday night, Crider's should definitely be at the top of your list. Just make sure you've got someone sober to drive you home! The road down the South Fork is **NO** place to be driving even remotely intoxicated!”
