“We showed up today (the Wednesday before Thanksgiving) while the restaurant was closed due to Thanksgiving prep. The owners saw we didn’t have many options and had kids with us and opened up the restaurant and made pizzas, soup (that was freshly prepared) and even ended up starting up the fryer to make fries and mozzarella sticks to go with the delicious chicken salad sandwiches. They accommodated our every request (while technically closed) and the service and food could not have been better. This place is a gem and we will definitely be going back ASAP!!”

My husband hails from a small “gelato town” in Northern Italy, and I lived in Naples, Italy, so we really know what we are talking about. As an owner of an Italian home bakery in Boerne, I have a deep appreciation for excellence in food, and Comfort Skyline Gelato truly exceptional.

James and Lydia are masters of their craft, and it’s such a blessing to have them nearby. Their gelato is creamy and bursting with flavor—made with the finest ingredients you can taste in every bite. The 30-minute drive from Boerne is more than worth it, and every time we arrive, it feels like stepping into a little piece of Italy.

“HUGE Surprise. In the back of the rustic furniture store / lumberyard. Sits a very cool, air conditioned lounge with live music. We visited during comfort Christmas, and the singer was taking requests and singing Christmas and other favorites. Comfortable seating, decent pricing, and an escape from the heat. All good.”

“Stopped by the Subway in Comfort, Texas, and had the pleasure of being helped by Junior V. Let me just say—this was hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had at any Subway! Junior made some of the most delicious sandwiches I’ve ever had—fresh, perfectly made, and packed with flavor.

But the real surprise? The pizza. It was my first time trying a Subway pizza, and it completely blew me away. Crispy crust, melty cheese, and just the right amount of toppings. I didn’t expect to love it as much as I did, but now I’m hooked!
