The Saloon is an authentic neighborhood bar that takes you back to the 1800s. The ambiance is very Texas, featuring a long wood bar. The service is always great and friendly, with drinks at a relatively good price. Offerings include frozen margaritas and Jack and Coke on draft, dollar hot dogs, and frito pie. Drinks like a whiskey sour made with honeysuckle rye and egg whites are very good. The place occasionally has live music and is great for talking to locals. It can have loud clientele, but it remains a fun establishment worth walking in to check out, making it a place to go to every time for just one drink.
