Totally pleasantly surprised. Avocado toast was far from basic, stacked higher than expected with perfectly cooked eggs and yummy avocado smash, but the kale salad on top sent me over the top!!! Fiancé had a county style breakfast sandwich that tasted like it was made by grandma with all the love of 100 generations. Definitely coming back, probably every time I’m in wine country. Plus the staff, sooooo sweet and fast.

Caliche Coffee & Roasters is a cozy and warm spot. The coffee is top notch, and the baristas are kind. They serve great lattes, chai, and protein balls. The breakfast sandwich is bomb, and the kolaches are good with top of the line mustard. The egg toast is simple yet good, with eggs cooked perfectly. They also have a breakfast burrito, cheese jalapeno sausage kolache, hazelnut croissant, and blueberry muffin. The iced caramel latte and iced mochas are delicious, and the homemade breakfast sandwiches and danishes are so good. The avocado toast has flavorful kale, but the avocado and bread can be improved. Caliche has quality espresso, well-pulled shots, and fresh beans that aren't over roasted. They also have good breve cortados and affogatos. The place can get busy and loud, but the service is quick. It's a great spot for coffee and breakfast, and the staff is fantastic.
