“The food is so freaking good! We had brunch recently and from the cocktails, pastry, main entree to dessert everything was delicious! Highly recommend the scallops with the leek risotto. Don't get me started on the pastry board and berries & cream...so yummy. Their dinner service is also devine! It was worth every penny!! Make sure to make a reservation“
“Visiting from out of town we had a wonderful experience at Bar Loretta. It was great to see a local not on the River Walk thrive. The service was top notch from Ray! We loved everything from the cocktails to the appetizers (recommend the quail, shrimp and scallops), burrata beet salad, and entrees (our daughter said the Loretta burger was the best she ever had). Great experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!“
“This is a beautiful fine dining restaurant with excellent service. The food is good. I enjoyed the Brussels sprouts, hummus, and in house made, flat bread. The salad with salmon was very good as well, and the crab cake. The crab cake is delicious, but the order comes with one cake only.“
“Menu changes every week, join the email list to see if the choice is for you. Small place, very nice patio. Nice pairing menu. Tonight it was a moussaka appetizer with an arugula and marinated cucumbers and chopped radish salad. The cannalomi with lamb filling- delicious and savory. The seared sea scallops were one of the best I've ever had, cooked just through. The corn chowder and shrimp base was a perfect combination. Chocolate for dessert- lovely light flourless torte. Oh and their own brand of Egg Cream Liqueur with dessert.“
“Magical. The dak galbi was an incredibly beautiful take on elevated Korean food, and I found myself polishing off my entire plate. The pesto pasta was very light and and almost floral…equally delicious. This was the best dinner I’ve had in San Antonio. The service was just as good as the food. 10/10“
“This place was so cute and awesome playlist. Our server was Jesse, do yourself a favor and request him. He was so sweet and so attentive. He found out it was my friends birthday and brought her a dessert then gave of us a list of places to get a drink afterwards. Jesse, we love you!“
“Lori was so hospitable and gave us an amazing experience. She even turned on the outdoor lights so that we could walk around and take pictures after dinner. She recommended an excellent wine and put us on to a new favorite dessert - sticky toffee pudding. This place checks all the boxes and the winery cats were a bonus.“
“Nice brunch venue. I went to attend a Sunday morning workout from Camp Gladiator, followed by brunch. After the workout, I ordered off the shareable portion of the menu. I ordered the cornbread, brussel sprouts, a side of bacon, and the breakfast old fashion. The cornbread came in a small cast-iron skillet. To me, it was enough to share with one other person. It served with "jalapeño butter" - chopped (possibly pickled) jalapeño mixed with soft butter. I've never had that, but I know I'm going to look for and request it when dining out. The brussel sprouts were flash fried, which I prefer over oven roasted. Very crispy. It was the best tasting brussel sprouts I've had since I can recall. It was paired with a garlic aioli. The "side" of bacon was larger than expected, five or six pieces. It was well done, but not crispy. Very good. The breakfast old fashion was excellent! As much as I wanted to order another one, or two, I was driving. So I relegated myself to only one.Overall, the staff were nice enough. Nothing over the top as far as service goes. I requested an item, but the young lady working at our table must have forgotten. After some time waiting, I got up and asked someone else.I will most likely return again. Truth be told, it'll most likely be if/when they pair up with Camp Gladiator again.“
“In the corner of a strip mall area. Breaky and avocado toast meals were also pretty good. Husband did not like the biscuits and gravy. Gravy was too soupy and didn't like the biscuit either. Another friend had the Pecan Pie pancakes. He liked them.“
“Another fine time at Yard House. Party of 5 on a weekday at 7pm. No wait (they don't take reservations, but use the waitlist app). I would recommend this on a Friday/Sat. Service was very attentive and the food was excellent. Pork Burger and fries, Spicy Garlic Beef noodles, Beef Bowl, BLT, Chicken Avocado sandwich all rated excellent. Price is acceptable. Parking can be tricky. Limited Handicapped considering size of La Cantera...this has been an issue for quite some time (but that's not Yard-House's issue). Music was a bit loud this time around and conversation was a bit difficult.Parking: Limited Handicapped considering size of La Cantera...this has been an issue for quite some time (but that's not Yard-House's issue).“
“Nestled near the newly developed Creamery area and almost within walking distance from the historic Pearl, this restaurant boasts a great location.Parking is easy, and there are plenty of places to walk around. You order your food at the counter, and they call your name when it's ready for pickup. They also offer alcoholic beverages. The ambiance is inviting, with spacious seating arrangements. The patio, overlooking the River Walk, is a great feature.“
“Met up with friends and just happened upon their happy hour (3-6 p.m. M-F), with about 20 different food options from nachos to pizza to vegan chick’n wings (which I appreciated as an occasional vegan). The order of Wisconsin cheese curds was massive; it could have been a meal in itself (an incredibly unhealthy meal, granted, but tasty nonetheless). A friend ordered the sliders, which came with fries and also could have served as a full meal.“
“I heard good things about their beer, so I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. I'm a big fan of German and Belgian style beers and that appears to be their specialty. The Tripel Volunteer was pretty authentic for a Belgian Tripel. However, the MKII Doppelbock fell well short of an authentic German Doppelbock... it went flat in a hurry, tasting as if it spent some time in a whiskey barrel, and also had a smell of vinegar on the nose. Even so, I recommend Longtab as a good craft beer venue. Prompt friendly service. I'm a veteran and I give these veterans a big thumbs up!“
“Magnolia Pancake Haus was good, tried , banana french toast, waffles, eggs, overall it was great. My only recommendation: hashbrowns need a bit more flavor and standard pancakes are normal. Example on another place I tried pancakes that are already buttery crispy on the outside not soft. The name says is Pancake Haus so I'm sure that can improve ?“
“The roasted poblano soup is quite possibly one of the best things I’ve ever had. So much flavor, a hint of poblano spice without it melting your face off. Pair it with the Vermont salad and you’ll be on cloud 9.Cheryl, the owner, is also so wonderful. She came over to great us, introduced herself, and clearly runs a phenomenal restaurant. Her staff are courteous and thoughtful. We will absolutely be coming back!“
“Cappy's "little sister" lives up to Cappy's example in food quality and pricing. The food is more 'casual', soups and sandwiches, with some interesting salads, and desserts. The sticky toffee pudding is a personal favorite. My only real complaint is the fact that the chocolate cake has nuts on it! I love chocolate and can't tolerate nuts so I am doomed to not be able to enjoy the chocolate cake that I love...“
“We went to The Rustic today, and are so glad we did. They have a “Jam and Toast Brunch” on Sunday. It is a lot of food for a very reasonable price. We enjoyed migas, French toast bites, biscuits and gravy, a jicama and cucumber salad, thick-sliced pepper bacon, fried chicken, freshly cut fried potatoes and lemon bars. The standouts were the migas. They were prepared an unorthodox way, but they were delicious nonetheless. The potatoes were perfectly done and were covered with a delicious sauce. The peppered bacon slice was substantial. The small biscuits were a little dense, but the cream gravy was great. Our only complaint was the front doors and the large garage doors were open to hear the live music. Their solution was to offer blankets, a nice touch, but it was not enough to knock off the chill in the restaurant. We will look forward to returning to The Rustic for brunch again.“
“The younger girl at the reception counter was not cool, maybe tired or hungry, I don't know but she just told me "wait for your text message" in a cold manner, no empathy at all. Please talk to that staff, they are your first impression. My wife said the "donuts" (bread balls) were overcooked (see picture), but I like everything well done, so they were good for me. The "michelada" is a 5 out of 10, but ok, a least they have it. Everything else was great as always. They removed a fee that was wrong, the lady at the bays was very kind, she looked like a supervisor or something. My children enjoyed it, we'll keep visiting Top Golf for sure! Thanks ;)“
“We visited here as celebration after our courthouse wedding and EVERYTHING about the experience was absolutely stellar! We still had our wedding clothes on (took pictures on the Riverwalk right in front!) and we were treated to outstanding food, service and atmosphere that was truly outstanding! One entree was less than perfect but the manager and staff worked quickly to rectify the situation and I’d still recommend this amazing restaurant without hesitation! Manager Alyssa and staff made sure our visit was the cherry on top of the most amazing day of our lives. We’re grateful! Check out these photos! We. Loved. Everything! The bread pudding is TO DIE FOR!“
“Simply outstanding. Service was wonderful and we were immediately greeted when we walked in.Plenty of items on the menu. I had the breakfast bowl and it was wonderful. They even brought put some sauces of varying spice and they were all delicious.I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more items.“
“Very good service. Sandra was a top notch bartender with excellent service skills. The food was out of this world. Love the margarita 4 shots. 4 different margaritas. The Atmosphere was great. I love coming to this location. Very friendly staff.“
“First time visit to BJ’s restaurant and had Logan as our server and Rachel was the manager in San Antonio…we couldn’t have been more thankful for outstanding service, patience, and true customer focus in making our visit outstanding. We have a new favorite restaurant!“
“This place was so tasty and trendy! This was a nice spot that made ordering easy and received my food rather quickly. The food was fresh and hit different palate notes salty, spicy, savory, crispy and crunchy! Putting that egg on the dish was decedent just topped it off for me! I was glad to have had that dish. Parking was easy.“
“We have been coming Southerleigh for a few years now. Our last review was 3 years ago so decided to write a more recent one. Recently, we had moved in the area, so we frequent the restaurants here more often. Our last visit was Thursday night in which we stopped in for a nightcap. They were pretty busy . The one thing I like is that they recently added a full bar. Thursday night in particular, Janie and Kelly, as well as David were behind the bar. We've been served by Janie and Kelly before so we're pretty familiar with them. Anyway, just wanted to give a shout out as we did arrive when it was pretty busy. They took excellent care of us. Thank you all so much . Btw..The food is also on point. See ya soon!“
“I called Whiskey Cake yesterday regarding some information that I needed from Managment. I spoke to Haley over the phone. She was super nice very pleasant , patient and knowledgeable. Haley is beyond an outstanding employee a whiskey cake. Thank you Haley again for your help.“
“Great cocktails and best Chicken Schnitzel was crispy & tasty. It's on their Seasonal menu but I hope they add it to their Regular menu. Pitchers of mimosas and unique Bloody Mary's. The menu has something for everyone and at every price range. I'm sure Breakfast is a big hit here, but go for dinner.“
“Walked in and was welcomed by Mike. The food was so delicious and the variety of alcohol they have here is immaculate. I will continue to stop by Doghaus anytime I visit San Antonio. Such welcoming and truly professional service. If you have a chance, to talk to Mike, one stand up guy.“
“My server was Mattie and she was fantastic! First time ever at Kona Grill and she made great recommendations. The chicken Pad Thai was delicious! Oh and the butter cake for dessert! I cannot recommend her or this food enough! I’ll be back for sure. Thank you to all the staff seen and unseen for creating an awesome experience.“
“I am so glad this restaurant is in the mall. You can not beat what you get for the money. Huge potato, and you pic your toppings. You can create your own, but I went with one of the yummy pictures they had up. Nice people, good food, happy tummy. I cut it in half and magw two meals. Will be going back soon for a sweet potato creation.“
“This is not just food, it is J. Alexander's. That means all food cooked well and served warm/hot and delicious.I took some family there tonight and I said, honestly, "If your food isn't a solid 9/10, then it's not to their standards". I urge you to give this a try and send anything back if it's not a 9/10 or better. I bet you won't return any food!“
“For starters: Kat was our waitress extrodiair! Her knowledge of the building’s history & its antique contents were impeccable! Not to mention her attentiveness to our table! Charcuterie at its finest! The 45 day aged ribeye was delicious as well as the hummingbird dessert! So much interest in a 120 year old building in the “Pearl” district What a lovely evening & experience! Thanks again, I highly recommend “Cured”, & Kat!“
“Thank you to my fellow Houston elites your reviews! That's how we settled on this place. I was a little hesitant when we pulled up, it's located on the end of a shady looking strip mall type thing. We walked in and right away you know the owner is a hip hop lover. Especially the homage to MF DOOM. I don't drink beer, but that's why most come here probably. The menu looked super enticing too. I ordered the bacon Mac and cheese for the table. It was beyond salty, but I love salt. Idk if it's usually that salty, it was a bit much. The mushroom burger was good and the fries were the bomb. I love crispy fries. The Astros game was on for baseball lovers like me! Go 'Stros. Our waiter was super friendly. Just a good all round vibe going on. Bar seating, high tops and a regular tables. Also seating outside. All types of patrons. Folks there for the game, couples, families. You name it. When in the area, I'd definitely hit up again!“
“Overall a good meal and the food seems the same as the other location. I started with the house salad minus feta which is still one of the best salads I've ever tasted. It is pricy but delicious. Then we split the chicken wings which are a nice size. At our servers suggestion, we mixed the lemon pepper with buffalo for the sauce which was salty but excellent, perfect heat level for me. Next we split the tuna ceviche which was just ok for me, not enough pico on it. I wouldn't order again as it was bland imo. Looking forward to coming back to this location, much less crowded than the other location and food is just as good.“
“Absolutely phenomenal experience at Mash’d! Their chicken and biscuits are beyond compare. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and cooked to juicy perfection, while the biscuits are flaky and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Each bite is a symphony of flavors that will leave you craving more. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring you leave fully satisfied. Combine that with their cozy atmosphere and attentive service, and you have a dining experience worth raving about. Five stars all the way for Mash’d and their amazing chicken and biscuits!“
“Had a lovely lunch with the family here. We decided to eat outside because it was such a lovely day. The birds also thought it was a lovely day and tried a couple times to steal my husband's fries. It was very entertaining. Overall we had a lovely time and throughly enjoyed our meal and the service we received.“
“The only reason I gave the FOOD a 3⭐ is because I ordered the Strawberry salad...which was great except for the strawberries! They were previously frozen, a bit brown and tasteless! It's a strawberry salad for crying out loud!! You can get fresh strawberries at the grocery store!!! What's up with the bad strawberries?? Everything else was excellent!! But that salad was my lunch?“
“Located at the end of a small shopping Plaza the fare is a simple menu. Fries, salads, chicken tenders and a few other staples. I ordered a margarita flight which was very tasty and the chicken tenders. They have a full bar and they emphasize their homemade sauces.“
“This location is relaxed and family friendly before 9pm. They have craft beer on tap. A full bar. Daily specials. Happy hour. TVs for sports. Small kitchen. Outdoor picnic tables. Simple playground to keep the kids busy. Adjacent to small business & one other bar. I would not recommend walking to this location from downtown. There are homeless in the area. Once at the location it does feel safer to walk The parking & location do feel safe.“
“this is the perfect place to take a break from the crazy shopping at La Cantera. this place is such a hidden gem, I come and order the french fries every time, and they are literally the best!! I also like to get their shrimp, scampi pizza and their lobster bisque! the staff is always super nice, and the prices are pretty reasonable!“
“Went for lunch with a friend yesterday. It was my first time and ordered something familiar- J*** Chicken. The meal came with rice, stewed cabbage, and fried plantains. Worth the price. The chicken was flavorful and the meat easily fell of the bone. The fried platains provided a sweet contrast. The rice and cabbage had their own flavors and were seasoned well. You can experience the flavors of individual component, but you can always tell the star of show- the J*** Chicken.“
“So I used to go to 2 other barbacoa and tamales location but today changed all tht, Los Reyna #2 is so delicious!! I told the owner I had never had there barbacoa so I bought a barbacoa taco and let me just say it was so so good it was all meat barbacoa it was fresh he served it in chunks so you really can have a mouth full and the salsa super good, different taste than anyone else in a positive way and spicy I love my salsa spicy and we got pork tamales wow!!! Very good the masa was not so thick the masa was moist not dry and the pork inside was to die for! It also tasted fresh and had a very good flavor I am very impressed this is my Sunday location from now on for sure and the staff was friendly I would recommend this to anyone.“
“We went to Ostra twice during our business trip. The food was delicious, the servers were very nice. I liked everything they served. Their fish dishes are so soft, the meat almost melts. I never tried the Shrimp n Grits dish - but I will definitely come back one day to try it!“
“So very good! I have been to Upscale 4 times now and have loved it every time. The service is impeccable and the food is excellent. You have to try the Dover Sole. All of the pastas are great but the Lobster is the best and octopus is delicious.“
“my friend and i have passed by this spot many times and always wanted to stop by but never had the time to come by. finally came today and it was a good time. the service was 10/10 with Ashley, and we got to meet some of the regulars. they have a small patio with ample seating and board games as well. it’s a fun and mellow place to get a quick drink.“
“We had an early reservation so there weren't a lot of people there. Our server was great! She offered us the bottle service special which was great. The food was really good but it did take a while to get it. Most likely because it was cooked fresh. It was well worth the wait. Music was really good but the DJ didn't play the full song most times. He seemed to be practicing his mixing. He needs more practice. Lol“
“Love the atmosphere, sleek, stylish, great wine list. We had a green salad and french onion soup app, both excellent. My husband had the veal stroganoff special and loved it, my salmon was perfectly cooked, though a little salty. Creme brulee dessert was yum, and our server was the best. Hilarious, non-obtrusive, attentive. They also have a large party space (like 8-12) and a party space (advertised as 50+ ppl) that look really nice. Overall loved it. Great gem in San Antonio!“
“- Drinks:Water was clean and cold and not all dirty. The Element Kombucha Jasmine Hibiscus was really good and the Lavender Spearmint is a 5/5.The angus burger is made from grass-fed cows. - Service:The staff who was at the counter was super nice. We were able to walk around and enjoy the property. the menu is displayed in a non-threatening way and made it feel optional. - Ambiance: The place fits all kinds of scenarios, it can be family-friendly, pet-friendly and/or romantic. It's beautiful and natural, cozy and welcoming. Would recommend & Will be coming again!!“
“I enjoy coming here. They continue to make the menu mouth watering. Looks like they did it again. Hubby ordered the torta and the crispy dogs. I ordered their huge chicken sandwich. Needless to say, we needed a to go box. Enjoyed a few beers with our meals. Great bartender/waitress! Love that I'm just a few minutes away from a good time.“
“Tonight was the first time we have ever been to Savor. Our server Clay was great. He was very attentive and very professional. He made the experience so worth the drive. The food was delicious. All in all we had a wonderful time. 5 Stars all around!“
