Idle Beer Hall & Brewery Brewery •
414 Brooklyn Ave, San Antonio

“Superfun converted industrial space with not just a few beers and a buncha cocktails, but ACTIVITIES too! ??

There's skeeball, steel tip darts, that hoops game, pinball, pool/billiards, and some (horrible) cornhole boards and giant Connect 4 in their shared courtyard.
The games and darts do all kinda sit right in the natural flow of foot traffic though, and/or are smushed into too-small of an area - I wish they had more elbow room.

We didn't get a chance to try Idle's beers (shock!! Lol. We'll be back for that ??) but the cocktails we tried - Halloween special butterbeer (rootbeer + vodka + butterscotch sauce) and a frozen boozed-up cherry Coke - were very sweet, but very delish.“

Ranger Creek Brewing & Distilling Brewery • $
4834 Whirlwind Dr, San Antonio

“My wife and I stumbled upon this "Brewstillery" a year ago last August when we were on that side of town. They had the whiskey club event that evening and we signed up as members on the spot. I love bourbon and have always favored Kentucky bourbon over all others until I tried the .36 Single Barrel Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The Texas Sun deserves some credit along with Josh, the brilliant master distiller, and Dennis the owner and visionary. Big Mike is like a walking encyclopedia and a great presenter, and I enjoy his narrated barrel taskings. We got to see Mike and Josh on their most recent webcast. The whole staff is super friendly and we enjoy visiting every chance we get. The beer is amazing too. Join the club! It's worth it because you get to taste some of their amazing creations, such as the Akvavit (a liqueur made with corn distillate, dill, caraway, fennel, cumin, coriander, raisins, and honey), which we enjoyed on Saturday, as we learned about the various barreling and distilling processes. It's both fun and educational. Visit soon. You'll be glad you did.“

“Went there for lunch while in town and had a real nice, clean and crisp Moutain Man. They had 12 or 13 beers on tap so there is a nice variety. Enjoyed the grilled cheese. Showed up piping hot. Love the military themed decor and overall vibe. Will visit again when back in San Antonio. One of the best craft breweries in San Antonio, Tx.“

Pabst Brewing Co. Brewery •
711 Broadway 6th floor, San Antonio

“Pabst truly is the all American Lager, they literally invented the 6-pack. I have so many fond memories of throwing back a PBR after playing baseball or after a hard day of work. A friend of mine actually has two pallets of Pabst Blue Ribbon in his living room stacked up about 6 feet high. So much better than a lot of the cheap beers out there. Nice flavor for a Light Lager.“

“Even if you're not a huge beer fan, Freetail Brewing Co. has something to please everyone! I tried the Chancleta Mexican Lager, and it hit the spot – light, refreshing, and super flavorful. Along with the beer, I enjoyed their Freetail B.A.T. – a sandwich packed with applewood-smoked bacon, avocado, smoked turkey breast, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on fresh focaccia. Paired it with a side of basil tomato soup, and the whole meal was on point!
