First night in San Antonio. We decided to head to breakaway brewing for dinner. A great meal, great beer, great bartender ( chris ) highly recommend.
bartender was super helpful in selecting brews i would enjoy- and they were indeed quite tasty! i was able to make it for brunch and the food was great! i had the polenta and chorizo benedict and it was so delicious! good vibes all around!
First timer tonight! I stepped out of my element of Mexican beer, and the beer here at Breakaway was fantastic! All the employees were super friendly, and the atmosphere was not overwhelming. Saw several people ordering food, so I chose the Gorgonzola chicken wrap and it did NOT disappoint. Location was out of my square but totally recommend, and would prob come back just because of tonight’s experience!

The Smashburger, made from a blend of sirloin, short rib, and brisket, is particularly praised, as well as the carnitas street tacos with house-made crispy pork. The polenta fries are a must-try. Prices are reasonable, but the tip is automatically calculated. The establishment and bathrooms are very clean, adding to the overall positive experience. The table games are a fun addition to the atmosphere, making this a solid neighborhood gem worth visiting.
