“Uptown Sports Club is a really beautiful space with one of the coolest aesthetics in East Austin. The design strikes a great balance between stylish and comfortable, making it a place where you immediately want to settle in and stay awhile.

The service was exceptional throughout our visit—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Food and drinks were excellent across the board. The chicken sando was absolutely delicious, the chips and onion dip were fantastic, and the gumbo was surprisingly good while also being one of the best values on the menu. The beer selection was solid as well.

My only critique involves the sports-viewing experience. We specifically came to watch the Spurs game and mentioned that to the hostess when we arrived. While I understand Uptown Sports Club isn’t a traditional sports bar, we weren’t seated in an area where we could comfortably watch the game and ultimately ended up leaving to find another venue.

What made this especially puzzling was the large screen on the back patio. It wasn’t being used, and that space was never offered as an option despite our stated reason for visiting. Given the venue’s name and the obvious potential of that setup, it felt like a missed opportunity and, frankly, a bit shortsighted.

That said, the food, drinks, atmosphere, and service were all outstanding. I’d happily return for those reasons alone and hope the management leans a little more into the “sports” part of Uptown Sports Club in the future.“

“The sports bar had an effortless energy that made it an easy place to settle in and stay awhile. Big screens wrapped the room so you never missed a play, no matter where you sat. The crowd was lively but not overwhelming, striking a perfect balance between excitement and comfort. The bartenders were fast, friendly, and clearly knew their craft. Drinks came out cold, food came out hot, and everything tasted better than expected. The lighting, music, and layout all worked together to create a laid-back but electric vibe. It felt like the kind of place you’d return to without even thinking twice.“

“Always a fun place to have drinks with friends! If you go on a Friday night, expect to wait 30 minutes to an hour for a pool table, as this place fills up. They have other games to play while you wait and they ID at the door so no need to get constantly ID'd throughout the night. My only complaint would have been that the attendant for the pool table reservation booth was MIA and we couldn't find them. We even had tried asking the bar and they just said to wait over there because the attendant was busy serving. I just think y'all need better signage, and it would have been 5/5. Thanks.“

“This place is great if you want to hang out in an outside setting. The outdoor venue was beautiful, pet friendly, they have misting fans & T.V.'s everywhere, adult games like Connect 4 & Corn hole. Their indoor environment was okay if you like to be in a dark set-up. I did enjoy a couple of pricey mix drinks and FYI their buckets are 5 beers not 6, for the price of alcohol you would think they would keep their beers colder though. We tried the pizza place next door & it was good - pizza, calzone & wings.“

“Was in Austin for a few hours before catching a flight, and i wanted Texas BBQ. Coopers was recommended by a bartender, and he was spot on. Brisket was perfectly done, slaw was amazing and I can’t find the words to accurately describe how good the jalapeño bacon Mac n cheese was. Topped it off with a local lager and it was amazing lunch. TOP NOTCH!!!!!“

“This place was legit!!! We had a great time hanging out at the fire pits, having a drink, watching the Olympics and making memories with friends. The margarita and bourbon lemonade on tap were fantastic. The food truck had just one type of street taco that was amazing and their elote was also spot on. Would highly recommend this place for a casual, low key night in Austin or a place to go before you head to the craziness of 6th street! These guys set this place up right!“
