I visited Cooper's Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que a few weeks ago for the first time in Austin, TX. I ordered the beef brisket, with a side of cornbread and mac and cheese. I enjoyed the brisket, it seemed fresh and had a good flavour, and they served it right in front of you, upon ordering. The brisket was fabulous. Sausage was great and beef rib was pretty good. 4 stars because they were out of: pork ribs, cornbread, grilled corn. Also, it wound be nice to have plate options with meat and a side rather than everything separate.But the brisket was really special.

Excellent service. Top quality meat. I traveled to Texas for two weeks with my husband. We ate at three different barbecue joints and while they were all good, Cooper's offers the best value for money. It has more options to accompany your food, and the manager gave us a T-shirt from the place because Cooper's is the only barbecue where they don't treat you like a ticket but like a person. We went the first night we landed and returned the last night before returning. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
