Wow wow wow!! I was craving Paella so bad and looked up places in San Antonio to get it and this adorable place in Southtown popped up and it was WAY above my expectations. Everything we ordered was delicious and Norma was the most amazing server. She was so sweet and attentive. I cannot wait to go back!

Azuca | Nuevo Latino is a hidden gem just off the Riverwalk, offering an unforgettable dining experience. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance of warmth, simplicity, and intention. It is a great location to stop by for a drink, with reasonable happy hour prices, though food pricing is mid range. The food is exceptional; the red snapper is cooked to perfection with a vibrant tomato and olive sauce, paired with the best cilantro rice. The appetizer flight is a highlight, with delicious shrimp and perfectly executed fried plantains. The ceviche is fresh, bright, and well-balanced. The quinoa salad and Caribbean salad are both unique and delicious, and the regular lime mojito is highly recommended. The best paella, guac, tortilla soup, and pasta are absolutely amazing. The Parillada normally has chimichurri sauce. The food was spicy, but spice levels were not indicated for tourists. The dance floor is very small, and parking can be a challenge. The kitchen was closed at one point, and a 30% gratuity was charged on one bill. Overall, the experience is great, with a must-visit ambiance and truly memorable flavors.
